Howard the Duck protects Beverly (Lea Thompson) from street thugs.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
In this sci-fi comedy from executive producer George Lucas, Howard the Duck is an extra-terrestrial fowl who is accidentally beamed to earth by physicist Dr. Jenning (Jeffrey Jones) and his assistant Phil (Tim Robbins). The two go looking for Howard and find him in the home of Beverly Switzer (Lea Thompson), who was rescued by the interstellar duck from some mean-looking thugs. Beverly and Phil are friends, and when the government finds out about Howard, she helps Phil and Dr. Jenning hide him from the authorities until they can zap him back home. In the meantime, several wild chases and spectacular special effects keep the picture rolling along.

he got his cameo in endgame well earned...also its funny to think howard the duck the 94 fantastic four and the 89 punisher were the only marvel films until blade in 1998 lol...and only 1 pre blade was actually in theaters...although punisher was released in germany sorta for a little bit

No it needs a remake badly from Marvel Studios as Marvel handle their properties on film and show better than just licensing to other studios in the past except Deadpool by Fox which was excellent and maybe a TV show for Netflix from Marvel since Marvel handled Daredevil better than Fox did with his show and can't wait for their Punisher show. The show can show the REAL Howard from the comics and be faithful to Gerber's famous comics and the recent comics plus have the satire of the comics which this movie was missing and missed the point

You see Howard the duck isn't for all of the people some enjoyed it because it's something most people never saw before on the big screen personally I loved Howard the duck and some do too just because it has Wacky acting and dumb effects but do know it was In the 80's not many effects were great and I know people will compare this to Star Wars consider the fact that Lucas art made this but I liked it and some people do
The reason why people loved Howard the duck is because it was so memorable we remember the names the catchphrases and the costumes and that's why it's so good to people

It's an excellent comic book that is a satire on things and well written, a must read. Howard even made a comeback in comics recently and in Guardians of the Galaxy.
