I love that Matti wasn't even really trying to stay "in character". I don't think I've ever seen him smile so much and I love it. I don't know how you and William do it, Deban, but I think you guys bring something out in them. Your interviews with them are the best.
I loved getting to hear from the dancers too. Ástrós and her whip give me life. 😍
It's because Deban and William take them seriously and, as huge Eurovision fans, are genuinely excited about what Hatari are bringing to the contest.
Jennifer Counts They also approach interviews from a fun loving and sort of stress free way. They aren’t focusing on making the interview all business and they truly want to interact and get to know them which is sadly so rare these days. And Id imagine it being a true relief to just sit there, talk and have fun during an interview compared to some they’ve had to suffer through before with obvious disengagement.
Klemens could make good ASMR videos, his voice is so calming...
He should. I said on another video that Storytime with Klemens should be a thing.

What a delight of an interview, Wiwibloggs slays again. I enjoyed every single second. Such a great interview!! I loved every millisecond of it and will likely watch it many many times. So cute when Klemens shut Matthias gaping mouth. They really got their clothing and accessories down! Love those green accents! Klemens fanny pack is great! Hopefully that line will be at H & M soon!! Klemens smoking that cigarett actually looked so hot (even if I wish he would quit)! Poor Einar - the drum gimp - back from a cellar on Iceland ha ha!! Deban did a super great job!!

Yeah, part of me is sad because all that mysteriousness is pretty much gone by now. But I just adore their laid back, genuine sides, and their laughs :)

I see what you mean, and I feel it too. On-the-fly interviews are such a mundane, boring exercise that it's really hard to maintain mystery and allure while engaging in them; and it doesn't help that the same tired questions are asked ad nauseam. I genuinely prefer their scripted, fake icelandic interviews: they're funnier, more polished, and they keep the Hatari mystique alive to boot. But I guess they just cannot escape regular interviews now that they're part of the ESC machine, and they're trying to make the most of it. I give them huge props for staying in character and keeping the whole thing fresh and entertaining. That absurd, long-winded improvisation about Soda Dream was just hilarious! 😂
I'm quite puzzled actually, I miss their old, dark, mysterious interviews, but at the same time I'm dying to know more about them.
I have to admit though, that I love Matthias more since he started to open up and smile more, he looks like a really fun and sweet person under the Hatari cover :)))
