The right way is to use a zinc connector. The zinc protects your car wiring. It's called "anodic protection". Twisting and taping is bad. The air has water in it. Your copper wires corrode and will turn black so do it right or plan on your car getting sick from the bad wires.

Scotty you're the man. Ive been watching and learning from your videos for years now and just recently my Dad found you on CZcams (since he wouldn't listen when I told him) and we both get a lot of important information and entertainment from your videos. You've given me the confidence to do certain things I would've never tried before and you even allow my father to not have such a heart attack when I do attempt things on my own. Recently my tps connector went bad and was wondering how I'm going to wire it in cuz the mechanic wanted $2500 just to replace that and the throttle body !

@john5246 Is it a ford truck/SUV/Van? If so, it's the REAR BCM (sometimes called the REM - rear electronic module). It's in the back in a compartment behind/under the spare tire jack. If it rains and the back windows are cracked, it gets wet and shorts out.
