Horse riding is really a confidence booster. If you're serious in this sport you will be obliged to be more firm and confident. Thus you will develop your personality and self-esteem. There is no weak equestrian.

the context is jihad. horses are used to conquer lands for islam
I’m obviously not qualified to interpret a Hadith like this. But when the prophet said “there will be goodness in horses till the day of judgement” i think he meant the end times where mankind will abandon the horse for vehicles but allahu a’lam

Just merely knowing how to ride hourse is not characteristics of men, the characteristics of men is having gheerah for women folk. Moreover it's not just characteristics of men, it's an obligation. I feel like Gabrielle just focusing on men being strong, but he failed to teach why men should be strong. Why prophet (peace be upon him) asked men to learn Archery, or horse raiding to become or make men more manly??. Or to make men strong so that they fight and defend the Muslim lands, fight against disbeleivers to make Allah's word supreme, to engage in one of the important obligation which is jihad. Its seems like Gabrielle not teaching why we need strong men. That's why we need to teach the religion and teach everything accordance with religion

3:19 subhana'Allah i remember talking with my dad about this issue, how we depend too much on technology and we've lost our true selves, i told him imagine all technology was destroyed, all means of transportation gone, it will be hilarious to see how people will panic and will be obliged to interact with horses. This is one of the reasons i started horse riding, i feel connected to my roots and to God's creation.

Brother Gabriel, you should loosen the reins when you are trying to keep the horse still. It is uncomfortable to the horse and that is why he is finicky. If you barely hold it in your hand and give the horse space, he will move a lot less. Just some advice for next time inshaAllah.

@@sumnerslandscaping5565 no, no! 😅 But I guess that’s what I grew up around. I live in a tiny town in rural California where there are plenty of horses and I’ve done some riding myself on trails. I hope to get a horse soon though InshaAllah! I’ve already got my cowboy/work boots and lots of land to ride. How about you? Done any riding in Texas?

I went to Makkah when I was 16 with a group from the local masjid, one day I got up and left the hotel around ten and I climbed a random mountain without notifying anyone from the group luckily I knew a little Arabic to ask for water and to reply to locals who thought I was crazy to climb the mountain.
I agree sometimes we need to come out of our comfort zone and experience the little hardship to grow.
Hardship create Strong men.
That’s why Allah created us with hardship. It’s innate to us.

I already do archery and horseback riding and lift weights I do archery almost every day and I hunt for deer and elk every year and for other animals and I also fish and when I catch something I try my best to split it with my neighbor and this is the way that it should be because we were not made to stand in front of a computer all day

Sunan an Nasa’i 3561, I recommend anybody who knows there is a problem with the Ummah and its men who oppose diligence, to read this Hadith in full and understand where the solution is.

In Europe, at the outskirts of most cities there is horse riding clubs. I encourage Muslim parents to busy their children with such sports. Most love it. And I the brother says horses have character and teach you a lot

That horse is very poorly disciplined.
I would suggest putting a strong bit in its mouth and pulling the reigns and allow it to move uncomfortably, as soon as it stands still, let go.
Repeat this process until the horse knows that if it stands still it will be comfortable and if it moves without discipline it will be in further discomfort.
