Awesome post with a plenty of tips !!! I just got my Wolf Tooth Valais. Thanks a lot 🤙
Great Video answered a lot of questions as well as some useful tips. Keep up the good work and the website is awesome. Thank you
Great tips! Been trying to finger out a setup for my SC nomad, thinking I may ditch the saddle pack. Wouldn't mind a rack beside adding unsprung weight
Great info!
I use the Tailfinn Aeropack on my Gravel bike with a pretty big dropper post... It works great and I still have 20l capacity in the bag! Just make sure to get the extra long seatpost connector, so the bag sits further back.
i guess I'm pretty off topic but does anyone know a good website to watch newly released series online?
@Boone Sergio Flixportal :D
@Kameron Augustine Thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service =) I really appreciate it !
@Boone Sergio glad I could help xD
i’ve thought about using the anything mount with a smaller dry bag attached to a specialized saddle that has the option to have bottle mounts on it. I haven’t tried it yet but it might be crazy enough to work
Great vid. Being a shorty, I'd have to add a stopper to mine, but then I'd only have 20mm of drop. :) Droppers are a must for me. I think I'll be going to a rack so I can keep my dropper.
need a HTP/BP.COM crossover vid on gear for bikepacking w kids
This! I don't know why everyone is trying to get a seat bag on their hardtail with a dropper when you can just have a rack with a trunk bag.
@@SnootchieBootchies27 because those people are afraid of bit extra weight
@@turtleman190 yeah, that makes no sense. Once you've loaded an extra 15-20 pounds on your bike, 300 grams here or there is nothing. And something I learned bikepacking last year was that lots of weight with good low gearing is actually a super fun tractor mode. With all the traction in the world, it's pretty amazing what you can climb, albeit slowly.
@@SnootchieBootchies27 it sure is crazy how dumb people are when it comes to weight and there's definitely nothing wrong with going slow at times no need to get everywhere yesterday
Have you ever tried the PNW Coast suspension dropper? Im really curious about that product for bikepacking
thanks for the review. Which would be the lightest one for the dropper post? and what is your thought on the Woho one?
Another option is either a Thule rack or Aeroe BikePack. Both designed by the same NZer.
Neil, any comment on a non-attached (to seatpost) like Oldman?
What shoes are you using? (The Orange ones) 😃
Great video! What is the bike model?
Thanks Ohad. This is a Salsa Cycles Horsethief.
What dropper are you using on the v2 with two/ drive
It’s the KS Lev Ci, not the strongest post but it did work with a light load.
For us elves, hobbits and otherwise vertically challenged peoples.... ditch the seat bag, get a somewhat decent rear rack and build a small "fix-it-kit" if yer going down the "bumpy -ass trail". Quit the thinking, quit the headache, A burrito style bag and some straps, carry on with life. In the end, even if I were Kareem Abdul Jabbar on a bike... rear rack and full dropper use. The shorter the rider the more the advantage of a dropper post gets. Like big wall climbing for us hobbits, it's all about that difficult " angry inch", all jokes aside. Day in and out, the system is just easier at the end of the day and more importantly in the morning, packing up. There is nothing more limiting for short long distance cyclists than a seat bag. Stop beating your head against the wall, mix the genres of cycling, stop fussing about too much. Make life easy, and a better value for your hard earned money. Less time digging around and thrashing for your bivy at the end of the day is absolutely priceless. K.I.S.S.! . Keep It Simple Stupid! For us shorty's at least. Keep on Truckin'.
LOVE IT!
Seatbag is not good wih medium or smaller size frame especially full suspension. I have to lock my rear shock to accomodate 10 liter seatbag
Useless battle for us shorty's. See my above comment, the only good thing that comes from banging one's head against the wall is... stopping. Oh, what a relief it is! Ditch your suspension, I'm oooold and its not needed. K.I.S.S.!
Just don't use seatpack on a dropperpost, it'l destroy your dropperpost... Come on.., you still can use back pack...
Bike packing with a full suspension bike is like taking a weekend camping trip with a 25ft rv. It’s for fancy people and completely unnecessary
Interesting take. One I complete disagree with, but thanks for watching and for the comment.
Not really. It all depends on the terrain. Not all people plan to ride road and flat gravel.
