Controller Support Flat out doesn't exist on mobile.
I guess I could take this opportunity to say they intend on adding it in the future, but there is no set date.

They got the inspiration from genshin and other but forgot to adopt the controller support

Yeah, no controller support for iOS made me lose all interest in the game. And I was hyped too. I’m not going to bother playing a game that insists on precise controls with terrible touchscreen controls on a iPad screen. Controller support should’ve been the game for mobile on day one. Such negligence.
Yea ill come back when its released. Hopefully in the next month and not the next 6 months

I use a wired PS5 controller and was having the same problems as everyone else. Went thru the exact same frustration this guy did last night, but ALSO found the DS4 Windows app, downloaded it, ran it in the background and VIOLA! -- my controller worked just fine.
That's no excuse though: Kuro absolutely should have offered full support for all major controllers at LAUNCH. Between the EN livestream mess, their crashing website + web event, and then the controller issue at launch, so far I'm NOT impressed with Kuro.
Nevertheless, if the devs can simply PLZ add the option in "Camera Settings" to "invert the Y axis", I'll be peachy keen!

@@lord_lisa2561 just set profile for gamepad with selected emulate dualshock (ps4), y can also turn guro for better aim.

If you are playing on a computer, but have a PS5, just make sure to connect the bloody thing with the wire AND remove the device from the bluetooth. As long as you have your controller connected via bluetooth it wont work.

Omg u r so based thank you for helping lol I was trying for hours found out I had it both connected via Bluetooth and also wired, just turned my Bluetooth off and it works thank you

@@abhi-qh7pg If its a Ps5 controller and still doesnt work with the cable, once you remove it from your pc bluetooth devices, maybe you can try the instructions on the video as a last resource. Godspeed

Same here! But I don't even get the option of buttons mapping like what you shown on your video. It just gives me the option to pick between a dynamic joystick or a static joystick 😭

if you are having this problem but in kinda reverse, as in the controller only works wirelessly, using ds4 works to solve it too

Man Thank you so much for the trick it works perfectly. Plus for those who's interested DS4 allows you to change your controller's color/intensity light, it's a safe app to use and could be useful for other games ( from an emulator for example ).
I hope Kuro Games will fix their game ASAP, this day one launch is a joke so far, issues almost everywhere ( even their launcher is messed up on my PC).
Btw is it just me or the graphics on PC are low ? It almost looks like a PS3 game

Just tried plugging my PS4 controller in with usb no 3rd party software. Works just fine aside from me not being used to the controls yet, played a bit on KBM beforehand.
I FINALLY figured out my issue with this: WuWa was auto-detecting my Azeron Cyborg keypad as the controller for the game, so it wouldn't recognize my Dualsense or Elite 2 controllers. As soon as I unplugged my Azeron, the normal controllers worked perfectly!
Mobile has no controller support as well

It works for Xbox controller on pc but I do have it wired but my ps5 controller wired or Bluetooth doesn’t work.
I currently have my ps5 controller connected Bluetooth, and it works just fine for me.
Would an immulator work for those of us on mobile? Since controller support for mobile users may never come.

the worst part is that the game also does not allow you to use other programs which attach certain keyborad keys to the controller buttons, so i can't play it, not even with DS4 Windows

the way I worked around controller not working was to add wuwa into my steam library as a non-steam game, and then just play it with steams goated controller support.

hi man, thanks for the tips, i never really needed DS4 windows but i am trying it now with DS4 controller, and it works for bluetooth connection, but i cannot rebind any buttons, not in game, not even by editing profil in DS4 app. Any advice plz ?
It’s likely a conflict with the game and the software.
Unfortunately I got no immediate solution.
The game has gotten 4 patches in the last 24 hours so DS4 is a temporary solution. Just hold out and try to enjoy the game for now
its work on ps4 controller but you need wire and hradphone because the sound cuts out

The game only loads in long enough for me to accept the privacy policy and then it just keeps crashing

Im having the same problem, but my controller is a Gamesir G7 (which is technically xbox controller), but as soon as I enter the game and try to move the character it just turns off after one single step

I have iPad Pro M4 and just bought SONY DUALSENSE wireless controller it seems to be connected to the ipad however when I enter the game it doesn't seem to work. Nor iphone.

I have been trying to play the game but mobile has no feature to use a controler and I use a ipad pro. Its such a mess idk If I should just wait for the ps5 verion at this point... Im loving the game the combat and exploration is just torture without a controler.
It works wirelessly with ps4 on pc when i set ds4 profile to emulate as xbox controller somehow. The game itself still shows the right ps controller button layout so no confusions there. Finally it was annoying to play with cable

I’m playing the game on the ASUS ROG Ally (handheld PC) but it really blows that it doesn’t work with the Backbone mobile controller because I find the Backbone a lot easier to play with than the ROG Ally.

How do you do this?
If your playing on pc. Connect your controller via Bluetooth and get the ds4 software. Then in the virtual controller setting on ds4 switch from ps4 to Xbox
On mobile my backbone doesnt work but on pc my ds5 works like a charm
The most annoying part of the game is that u cannot change the binds in the game, I had to fuck with ds4windows for a while just to attack on r1 and dodge on circle, weird af
Lol this is wild. I have like three PS five controllers. but I’ve also had a PS five for like three years and was lucky enough to watch that one Twitter guy who was telling people went to buy them so I didn’t have to buy it out of scalp price

I have a Wired ps5 controller, and its still not picking up the controller as being in use.
If for anyone using PS4 controller rumble doesn't work, try going into profile settings and in "Other" switch "Emulated Controller" to Xbox

DS4 worked to get my PS4 controller working.
However the WW menu option that changes O and X for accept and cancel doesn't do anything for me. It's always X for select and O for cancel no matter which one I choose haha oh well maybe they will patch it later. All other buttons work as intended.

@@akombalasau4022 Well it's the reverse of Genshin impact so it's a tough battle fighting 3 years of muscle memory for which is accept and which is cancel f(;;^w^)
I guess worst case scenario they never fix it, I could just switch Genshin's O and X buttons...
I have a PS5 controller and it only works if I'm connected via bluetooth. I've tried connecting it via wired and it's not working at all.
I agree on most of this... but just wanted to point out a couple of things..
1. Rich enough to buy a PS5 xD ... PS5 have been readily available everywhere for some time now and some at their lowest price with the release of the Slim.
2. You don't need to buy a PS5 to get a PS5 controller lol.
But otherwise, yes- developers definitely rushed this from a support perspective.

I have a PS5 controller, it worked when i start playing, then stopped. In wired mode it stops working. As soon as you remove the cable, it will work again. but now it doesn't work at all. after several client patches.
I don't mind playing on the keyboard, just a very slow mouse. although I set the sensitivity to maximum
I have the nacon pro 2 controller or whatever it's called and it works because the pc think it's a ps5 controller for some reason
The problem I have with DS4 is not necessarily that it doesn't work
The problem I have is that if you want to use a wireless controller with it, nearly every guide I've seen is confusing at best or contradictory at worst against another guide

Apparently theres a bug where if bluetooth is on it wont detect a controller. Connect the controller via usb and turn off the bluetooth on the PC.
Knew I subscribed for a reason... Kinda did wire connect a PS5 controller before you suggested DS4, no ways do I want the discomfort of wired play...

I just use steam and add the game as a non steam game into the library and launch the game from there thta makes the controller work
If you're gonna do this make sure to add the game itself and not the launcher

Hey guys quick update here from Denver, So i did the xbox controller but it has to be as with the xbox One ver. I have the red and white color with the USB 3.0 and it work pretty much on my end hope this help.
Yes it has to be wired no need to download the app as long you have updated your windows up to date, No i do not have win 11 i have win 10 and also work on win 7..

Edit: Managed to get it to work by actually turning on the controller without having it wired to the computer. It is sluggish and somewhat laggy though but all in all nothing too game-breaking.

My wired Xbox 360 controller registers with the game and it works……sometimes. It’ll be fine then my character just goes running by themselves and the camera moves on it’s own. Using no emulator atm. It’s spotty at best.

my xbox controller worked when I started playing yesterday on PC now I can't seem to get it to work. It does work but I just don't know what changed from yesterday on my end.
Edit I fixed it. Xbox controller works fine now. Both Wirelessly and wired.

What about nintendo pro controllers?
I have a pro controller that has Bluetooth pair. Make sure to NOT connect your pro controller via Bluetooth but take e.g. a charging cable and connect it to your pc directly. That worked for me!

Seems this dev put out a half baked money grab. It should literally be impossible not to release a game without controller support. Even on mobile. Just shows the level of "polish" they put into yhe game. Even the graphics are TERRIBLE on my ipad pro.
I thought it was just my iPad pro lol but yeah, no controller support for mobile can be a huge deal breaker. With controller support the game would be perfect
