@@AceStrife I mean props to people that play on a keyboard. I would never play this game with m/kb. I use a controller and gameplay is really smooth. But yea the animation cancel thing would not work since you need to press and hold a button to bring up the shortcut to the camera/levitator and then press another button to activate it.
@@aeon5566 Yeah same, was gonna mention mobile/gamepad but wanted a short comment. I too play with gamepad due to arthritis.
Even if it was viable with gamepad, wouldn't even bother doing it. Less use of hands = longer play sessions.
To think I used to be training up to go pro in a MOBA... No wonder some of 'em have surgery in their 20's.
As a non-skilled player running havoc rover danjin team on mobile, danjin is either a really good win condition or an optimal way to die

@@BobicusRocketus, literally, sometimes when u get too close to bossee they randomly do like 112-200 dmg for no reason and danjin flops
It's weird, but I ran Danjin in the early game with the little 1 cost Winged creature as her primary echo (it provides a regen effect to the on-fielder for several precious seconds), and I actually REALLY liked that!
Sadly, I recently took Danjin out for a bit because I've got 4 characters I'm running round with (Havoc Rover, Jiyan, Jinxian, and Calcharo), and I'm focused on just building them.
But I gotta ask, do you think having a 1 cost healing echo as primary, just for a bit of survivability, might trump the 4 cost echos that's just straight damage for Danjin?
@@Aizen2468 On paper, I'd rather have a dps echo. I got Verina I my novice banner, so I use her for burst healing alongside chaos cleave. But if if you're comfortable with a healing echo and still see success, ain't nothing wrong with that
@@Aizen2468 the heal echos dont do much and the whole point of Danjin is doing damage so no, definitely wouldnt slot one in. Also Danjin is constantly eating her own HP and then healing it back with the heavy so a tiny little bit of regen wont even be noticeable.
Just make sure you can dodge or you're gonna get one-tapped.

Taoqi is great with danjin as well, shields for damage negation since your at low health, ways to swap to and do her counter attack real quick, and her outro buffs resonance skill damage
very true. i use danjin, taoqi, and verina build. But now when i use verina for encore team. i change verina to rover havoc. as long you dont suck at dodging and parrying. is it really good team. (note : maybe is really fun to play but the damage output is still lose to meta. But taoqi is really powerfull shielder character cause she does not need to actually make her on field to long to get the shield. Just need good rotation and timing at outro skill taoqi or you lose the chance to get the shield rotation).

Jianxin also heals, cancel seems cool on paper but it isn't really easy to do that u can consistently pull it off in an actual fight. Starting with aeaaeee flows much better in actual combat cause after u do atks if u just wanna do the 1st e in the atk string it has a weird animation lock and u have to wait for a bit for it to come out but the auto atk doesn't have that and it flows naturally into the next combo atks string.
Weird that everyone seems to be completely ignoring taoqi, she is the one who actually gives shield but doesn't heal and has a havoc DMG buff on outro.
Jianxin's heal isnt enough and thats what we need and with the buffs and the grouping she is way better than taoqi imo
taoqi has resonance skil dmg boost on outro though???
@@thegodssin3631 danjin uses resonance skill to do DMG, I didn't remember the exact buff when I wrote it
i tested it out, for cancling you just need to rebind it to a mouse button and if you spam it, you can do around same damage as aeaaeee but it charges way faster because most damage from danjin is from her charged up heavy attack
1, animation cancle is consistently in an actual fight, you just have to instead of mashing them together, alternate them(also you gotta do it slight slower on actual enemies because hitlag) 2, yes after combos you cant use e but have you ever thought of using 1 attack to animation cancle, so the actual combo will be ae(cancle)eaeeae(cancle)eaaeeeae(cancle)e-heavy attack(this charges from 0-100), 3.taoqi infact does NOT buff havoc damage at all, she buffs the ult damage which isnt the main source of damage output on danjin, jianxin's heal isnt also alot like verina or baizhi you also group the enemies which is insanely good for danjin because she has a con of not having too much aoe

That animation cancel with the camera works great. I play on controller, and the method with levitate worked out to awkward for me. Id have to mash it out and sometimes it would glitch and give me a grapple. But the zoom camera works great, consistant, and I could input it without issue
its cuz if you are looking at a star thingy that uses the grapple it will change automaticly, also, its faster to do it in rythem rather than mashing it. In the video a wrong thing about it is you dont want to use them at the same time you want to alternate, experiment with it(also do it slower on actual enemies because hitlag makes it so that you cant do it instantly)
@@Pineapple343 I thought it was the grapple points at first, but it was happening in arenas as well like Tower of Adversity. For controller, you'd need to hold down a shoulder button to use the tools so it prevents you from pressing skill and tools together.
I played around with both methods a bit more. The levitate one has a stricter timing and I still haven't figured out why it's throwing a grapple. But with the Camera method, the timing is way more lenient and consistent. The only hiccups I had with it were during connection spikes. I'm still testing it out though
Taoqi gives 38% skill damage, a huge shield, and puts out a giant burst every time Danjin fills the concerto bar. With them together you can have full shield uptime.
I feel if you use danjin enough, and use here against say the tempest memphis hologram and parry the attacks enough times, and with her health being drained consistently. I think she's a good resonator, since you need prioritize your attacks and dodges, which builds lots of skill. She helped get a grip when bettering my skills against enemies, like hologram memphis. So i do recommend her, she forces you to play the game as it should be, while being a good dps. She's a very rewarding character to play.

This might be confusing for some because what you say is not exactly the same with the text overlay buttons on the screen. Correct me if I'm wrong, the written combo for full circuit bar would be:

Danjin is my favourite character as a character but not for fights. She is my favourite to use against bosses though since you really gotta be good if you don't want to die.
Basically as a character I love her but generally for general use I don't use her because she is just a liability if you don't know how to evade every attack and makes it an optimal way to die.
I love Danjin.

The good thing is that if you lose the 50/50 u are guaranteed to get the character in the next pity

I would personally reccomend crit, atk and energy regen, for skilled palyers who play sekiro before and are good. And hp, crit, attack and energy regen for those still learning.

Very cool video! I just want to point out that after using combo EEE Danjin can't E for a few seconds, but you can AA to cancel that! So it's faster to AA + E after combo EEE than just press E xd
also idk if it's only on mobile but I can't do the fast E animation .-. which sucks

I got multiple copies of her I might build her
Also the main problem i have with her, is that she lose the E combo, if you dodge. Meaning you lose hp but will not be able to get them back, even if you do the 2n 2e combo. i tried to use her, but its a no go for me, i love her play style, but its way too hard to menage her Hp bar, specially cause there are no "off field" decent heal.
I'm just lvl 20 and I have her with a butterfly echo that heals like half my hp bar, which works out great. For now...
A tip if you have her at S4: if you dont do the AA after her heavy attack, you keep the crit rate buff permanently

@@drgenshin06 i think its because the game only detects heavy attack ending after you do the second attack so it will keep thinking that you didnt finish the heavy attack, though, there is no point in doing this because most of her kits damage comes from heavy attack so its better to just do the second part

I have a huge problem right now. I don't mind getting jiyan if it was early but I'm already at 70 pulls. The main character I wanted was danjin and her ascension. But I got a bunch of chixia and mortefi instead (obv I also got danjin) should I just stop and save it for yinlin or go pepega and get jiyan (got his weapon for calcharo)...
I got yinlin. Didn't like her too much. Then I went all in for Jiyan and couldn't be happier. Problem is 1.1 characters are looking very good; but we don't know yet.

@@eyzen4703 hm you have to play like it's 1v1 show down. Wait for the right time and then parry. If you keep attacking you will be stuck in animation and can't parry on time. It happens to me in the early stages but now I am used to it.

@@beastgaming7879 this is true for a 1 v 1 boss combat (i do agree with you, it feels like this game is actually about patience when it comes to parrying/dodging), problem is when I'm roaming around there would be this 1 ranged enemy who'd snipe my danjin out of existence...
My unskilled self tried playing her solo, and it was a disaster. For context, I'm playing her on mobile so the combat camera and target-lock is non-existent. Besides minding her combos, I also have to mind the folks behind me so I have to swipe to change angles or backtrack my original target. End of story, I got killed for more than a dozen times by a pack of wolves, a troop of gorillas, and yes, a damn school of pufferfish. 😂 Still, it was fun playing her without relying on outros or healers.
Bruh why dreamless, she doesn't buff danjin and to play her u need havoc rover in party... Crownless allow u to use mortifi and buff danjin's dmg. Why dreamless should be better?

But why is commando of convition better than Sword #18? yes, commando of convition offers more flat dmg , but sword #18 has more ATK% and also a higher passive dmg , which ranked up can come close to under 80% HP , so basically permanent with her playstyle!
Is it because Commando of Convition boosts all her dmg, not just Heavy DMG? The thing is, Commando of Conviction can t be R5 for free either i think!
