My husband isn't extremely involved in what happens in our homeschool. I do discuss things with him so he is aware and my boys naturally draw him in too.
Some free preschool curriculums that I like are Gentle & Classical and Hubbards Cupboard Bible & Rhyme. I have used Easypeasy for my high schooler and he loved it.

my husband loves to help with picking curriculum, teaching, etc!!! We are loving sequence one HBL!!! We started off with a dispined attitude and my then 7 and 9 year olds caught it!!! I never knew that was why my kids are consistent!!! I think my younger kids have caught it as well!!! I love seeing my kids successes!!!

We're using Gentle + Classical Preschool and loving it. The teacher's guide is free but I chose to use the reasonably-priced printables as well.

I know you’re in New Zealand, but in the States come late July/ early August retailers have Back-to-school sales.
