This is a very useful video thanks for sharing…could you also do a part two of what your system was when all of your kids were younger? Like preschoolish age?

We do the magic basket thing and it’s great, also have my kids (and me) do an all over “put everything in its home” before they get to watch tv at 3, then I get to have some down time before making dinner instead of cleaning up after everyone.

This is brilliant! We do a 10 minute tidy after lunch to have the house put back together before quiet time, but I like the more detailed cleaning with the kids 😊
Our cleaning routines have changed a lot in different seasons and with travel schooling I know at the end of the year we will be at home for a period of time but idk how much I want to do when We get back!!! We are doing laundry on our trips!!! My older kids stopped cleaning and tidying a few yrs ago and I found myself refusing to clean up after them and it helped but I hate the look of their bedrooms!!! I love this idea!!! I put things in my kids room and put them on their beds so they have to put it away before bed!!! Organising projects take time so don’t worry!!!
We have a similar routine! But no visual for the kids, that might be helpful 😍 we incorporate our cleaning into the school day though, so when we finish our lessons we’re dooone for the day 😂 (mostly to avoid the “I’m tired” whines 😜)
This video was a great video for me! It was something that I really needed to hear. I do have a question for you I'm not sure if you're able to answer it do you have a certain chore that each child does according to age, or do you just assess what their abilities are and go from there? I have a 7 year old. My two and three year olds just have chores of picking up
I get my youngest to mostly do things like during, wiping, and putting things away. The older two can do everything on the zone lists (although not as well as they will be able to when they’re older).
