I've been on many very 'scary' rollarcoasters all over the world, and I'm not often scared of anything, but honestly think the high speed ones are the scariest, the launch at the beginning takes your breath away (figuratively and literally) and make your stomach drop in a way no sudden drop or loop can. I've been on similar ones such as Stealth in thorpe Park, uk (130km p/h) and superman in six flags (160km p/h) and those both felt insanely scary, I can't even imagine what 240km p/h would feel like.
Just came back from Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi. Went on this gem 5 times! The first 2 times were very nerve-wracking but you get used to it if you're a fan of such coasters. I've read that this ride was designed to make the rider experience the feeling and speed of being in an F1 car, crazy if you think about it.

This coaster goes so fast riders have to wear safety goggles because anything hitting your eyes at that speed will do serious damage and is really gonna hurt!
I believe that I've been in the first car on Top Thrill Dragster in Cedar Point which hits 120mph and my eyes were watering and I caught a few bugs with my face
I definitely believe it I ride a motorcycle everyday and one time I'm my mask flew off and everything to hit my face felt like a tattoo when time I try to ride it when it was raining and the raindrops felt like needles on my face when I was on the freeway
Thank you for not putting background music, and letting us just here how it sounds naturally. So many ruin thier videos with dumb commentary, or annoying background music, but this is A+
This coaster doesn’t put fear in me, make me excited, or give me the feeling that I look for in coasters. I could be dead wrong but higher drops at slightly less speeds are just way more and make you feel more
ive went on this and it goes 240kmh which is like 2.5x faster than any other intense roller coaster and they make you wear goggles becuase its dangerous and you literally cant breathe in the beginning for like 10 seconds

This is the only coaster I could probably ride. I love speed, sharp turns, and wind. But I hate heights, this doesn’t have a big drop, so I need to try this!

One week ago, i rode it. I first stood on the viewing deck for 20 min before i figured, if i dont go, i Will regret this forever. I went, and iT wasnt scary or anything at all, in fact iT was fucking amazing. It all Goes by so fast that you dont even know whats happening! I went on iT for 4 times
It's like a high speed plane. Planes at high speed takes a long time to turn instead of just turning right away, because if they do you will get thrown off. In fact the plane may catch fire. The tail may fall off by the opposing pressure. If you put a loopy loop in this coaster it means a sudden jerk up the hill.

Do you know why nobody screaming after 0:02? Their breath was taken away because of brutal acceleration and ~1.7 G-force. I was there a week ago and I know how it feels like. This is the only coaster when you feel not funny when it starts :) At 0:06 there are some water drops appearing at the camera. If you are on the first line - you will feel them with your face. And it feels like a slap in the face (at 240 km\h). Anyway, life is divided into the periods: before Formula Rossa and after Formula Rossa. 10/10 of Schumachers

Except for 3 rides that come out of the giant building, the rest of the theme park is inside the massive building. It's an indoor theme park, and it's really beautiful inside.
I have been on this rollercoaster with my sis when I was young and this actually looks slow. Istg it’s much MUCH faster than this . Like it ends in a jiffy and you don’t even realize it😩👍

It is a short thrill your only going 149 a few seconds. Much like six flags kingdaka you go 128 mph a few seconds and the rides over the technology on coasters cant sustain that kinda speed yet for long period of time....without risking safety first of course
As a rollercoaster fanatic who normally goes in the same ride many times in a row, i did this one 3 times and i could literally go home as i had enough… The launch is so fast, it literally takes your breath away.
I especially like that this is the fastest because it's built like an actual roller coaster with banked turns and multiple hills, unlike Kingda Ka and Top Thrill Dragster which just go up, spin, down, spin, and done basically.
You have to ride it to experience the thrill. Goes 0-240km/h in 4.9 seconds, this is insane acceleration. Most sports cars cant do that! Immediately after the burst of speed there is an incline, you ll feel you ll toss all the way into Dubai. The G effect is not for the weak hearted, this ride is pure speed.
Looks cool, but is it always cold and dreary there. Nothing but dirt and bad weather it seems. Do they not have grass and landscaping there? I’ve never seen sunlight or grass in these vids.
Joe Smith lol are you stupid? Go research the climate of the UAE to find out yourself. The lowest it gets to is 21/22 degrees C during winter. Rest of year it ranges from 30-50 degrees C .
Looks like alotta fun. Seems too many coasters have those slow-down brakes on smaller hills that kinda suck the fun for a few seconds. Keep up the momentum is what I say! As long as it's a safe run, screw all the slow downs!

KettouRyuujin / The brakes are for safety, but the rest of the world are laughing at this video because they put brakes right after the launch, which completely defeats the purpose of having a 149 mph launch if the speed isn’t even going to be used. It’s clear Dubai just wanted to beat the world record without the intension of making a fun coaster to pair with the speed.
Ive been on this ride and was good fun. The acceleration is just insane. Makes it hard to breathe even. The park was almost empty so we could stay seated. My dad tapped out after 2 rides and i managed to get 5 in before i started to get nauseous. I normally never get that.
I know people complain about the theming, but damn this thing just takes up so much AREA - what are you going to put there another park? Like, its more like a transport than a ride, it just happens to take you right back where you started. I like how spartan and industrial it is, it sort of looks like what real proving grounds look like. Desert, some random buildings, and sky. You are here for the SPEED.
People in this comment section do not understand the purpose of this ride. Speed. Pure speed. It’s so fast that you cannot breathe for a couple of seconds and the skin of your face is being pulled back because of this speed (lips, cheeks flapping). There is a place for people to go out and smoke that oversees this ride - from there you can hear the steel propulsion mechanism that brings the ride to this speed (yes, the ride cannot get to 240km/h that fast because we’re talking about 3-4 seconds). Also, the amusement park is behind the starting point (there are plenty of other rollercoasters that start inside of the building and get you out of it). This is the main attraction of the Ferrari World Park but it’s not the only one. You’re not doing justice to this ride when you judge it only by what you see through a camera. Go there and you will feel your body being sucked into the chair.
Have been on this. The acceleration out the gate is sensational. All in all Ferrari World is a five star affair. Just needs a bit more wow in and around the venue
When I first heard about formula Rossa and it’s speed, at first I was expecting to be similar to kingda ka or top thrill dragster but wayyy higher. Then I found a POV of it and… I got it wrong completely
With Abu Dhabis reputation for building everything big and extravagant they should have made that first hill a couple of miles high and a super long track like 10-15 miles long. I'm still waiting for a super coaster to be built. It could be done and this country definitely has the cash.
I actually think the layout is killer... I have not ridden this, but I can tell that I would be upset by that trim break on the first hill after the launch. I realize, I might die, but everybody gonna die.

I especially like that this is the fastest because it's built like an actual roller coaster with banked turns and multiple hills, unlike Kingda Ka and Top Thrill Dragster which just go up, spin, down, spin, and done basically.

You have to ride it to experience the thrill. Goes 0-240km/h in 4.9 seconds, this is insane acceleration. Most sports cars cant do that!
Immediately after the burst of speed there is an incline, you ll feel you ll toss all the way into Dubai.
The G effect is not for the weak hearted, this ride is pure speed.

Joe Smith lol are you stupid? Go research the climate of the UAE to find out yourself. The lowest it gets to is 21/22 degrees C during winter. Rest of year it ranges from 30-50 degrees C .

I went on this and was an amazing roller coaster especially for someone who doesn’t like too intense ones, can’t recommend it enough!!

Looks like alotta fun. Seems too many coasters have those slow-down brakes on smaller hills that kinda suck the fun for a few seconds. Keep up the momentum is what I say! As long as it's a safe run, screw all the slow downs!
pinkfreud62 I’m no coaster designer, but I bet those brakes are there to make the runs safe. So...unless you have a better idea, they’re probably staying.
Those are block breaks that let the train at the station know it can safely begin the next ride

KettouRyuujin / The brakes are for safety, but the rest of the world are laughing at this video because they put brakes right after the launch, which completely defeats the purpose of having a 149 mph launch if the speed isn’t even going to be used. It’s clear Dubai just wanted to beat the world record without the intension of making a fun coaster to pair with the speed.

Rode this 3 times when I was in Abu Dhabi a few weeks ago. It was nuts. And the line was only about 20 minutes each time!

Ive been on this ride and was good fun. The acceleration is just insane. Makes it hard to breathe even. The park was almost empty so we could stay seated. My dad tapped out after 2 rides and i managed to get 5 in before i started to get nauseous. I normally never get that.

I know people complain about the theming, but damn this thing just takes up so much AREA - what are you going to put there another park? Like, its more like a transport than a ride, it just happens to take you right back where you started. I like how spartan and industrial it is, it sort of looks like what real proving grounds look like. Desert, some random buildings, and sky. You are here for the SPEED.
This is what I imagine doing in the next Fallout game since it looks like a nuclear wasteland in the background
no twists no silly drops. all about the speed and this is ONE coaster i would def LOOK FORWARD to riding.

People in this comment section do not understand the purpose of this ride. Speed. Pure speed. It’s so fast that you cannot breathe for a couple of seconds and the skin of your face is being pulled back because of this speed (lips, cheeks flapping). There is a place for people to go out and smoke that oversees this ride - from there you can hear the steel propulsion mechanism that brings the ride to this speed (yes, the ride cannot get to 240km/h that fast because we’re talking about 3-4 seconds). Also, the amusement park is behind the starting point (there are plenty of other rollercoasters that start inside of the building and get you out of it). This is the main attraction of the Ferrari World Park but it’s not the only one. You’re not doing justice to this ride when you judge it only by what you see through a camera. Go there and you will feel your body being sucked into the chair.

Have been on this. The acceleration out the gate is sensational. All in all Ferrari World is a five star affair. Just needs a bit more wow in and around the venue

With Abu Dhabis reputation for building everything big and extravagant they should have made that first hill a couple of miles high and a super long track like 10-15 miles long. I'm still waiting for a super coaster to be built. It could be done and this country definitely has the cash.

Brilliant coaster, probably one of the best! Even better when we visited the park was empty so we just walked on.
I think it's pretty boring, slower coaster with some flip or big drop are better , watching this make me sleep
