SP 4449's Whistles In A Nutshell (New & Improved Version)

- Finally, after several months on remaking this nutshell has paid off! Except, unlike the original, I had taken this version up a notch or two. Particularly with several anime clips, and other sounds I never used before in the old version.
This video is made for entertainment purposes only! I don't own any clips used in this video!
This is also the last nutshell video I’ll make using Trainz 2019 before moving on to Trainz 2022. It has been fun, but the fun just got better.

damn, i might wanna make some whistle sounds with these, where’d you get em?
It may sound silly, but I recorded some of these sounds directly from my TV set. That’s because the videos that used to be available for viewing, especially on CZcams are no longer available. It’s a bummer really, but I did my best to make these sound clips sound close to the original as I can, yet it’s not as good as the original.
Also, I’m already getting started on making some of my new whistles myself, especially with these clips.
@@T128Productions damn, the ATSF 6 chime was incredible
Oh, and for that one, someone sent me some sound clips of the 4449 through Discord via DM. I’m not going to post a link, because of my concerns that several underaged users like ACWR 1592 Productions, who randomly join the server and spam nonsense, even though that program is not intended for them.
He wouldn’t stop calling me even though I told him several times. That was long before I discontinued my old server, not the current one that I have right now of course.
The ones I’m talking about are at 2:53, 3:51, and 6:30 which was an old recording originally owned by Semaphore Records.
@@T128Productions dw, i’m in the discord, im the guy who sent the 1980s 3 chime and 1970s.
No, I was actually talking about Zwornik, who sent me a lot of recordings, including the 4449’s American Freedom Train which included the ATSF 6 chime, which is not like other clips of that whistle I’ve seen on CZcams previously.
He also has the recordings from the PRR, as well as the Strasburg Railroad, and various other recordings which I don’t even have and I wish I did.

Another one i'd like to know the original video name, the 6 chime clip from 3:09 and 5:33?
Here: czcams.com/video/FdoQ77UAs6M/video.htmlsi=-PvsSJhEJ48YL-gc
Sorry for the late reply, but I finally found the video which I have been struggling to find for quite some time.
What video is that 6 chime audio from, at 1:00? Edit: I figured it out, its a video that cannot be viewed on the internet to the best of my knowledge. Steaming to LA, Mark 1 Video
That is correct. At least I have a dvd copy of that same film.
Too bad you can’t see it anywhere on CZcams or anywhere else on the internet because of copyright reasons.
I honestly don’t see why a train video would be copyrighted.@@T128Productions
Let’s just say that some people think it’s a good idea to post the full video and claim that it’s theirs, even though it was never was to begin with.
I used to think that having these old videos posted on social media was a good idea, until they got deleted because of this bogus copyright. Not to mention that several CZcams CHANNELS even got deleted! Man, talk about major inconvenience.

Yeah, that one sounded too good in that clip.
@@T128Productionswhere is that whistle clip from by any chance?
It’s not on CZcams, but someone who goes by the name of “Zwornik,” has sent me that sound clip from Discord, as well as a bunch of other sounds which this guy has converted to .wav files which is incredible. Even I don’t have the ability to do so, nor do I have any sound records myself.
The sound was originally recorded by Semaphore Records.
what's the whistle audio at 2:22? I think its become my favorite.
I forgot what the name of it was, but I do remember that it’s on the Internet archive, and it was recorded the same time Railfair 81 was still going on.

This is your first time using Henry Stickmin.
Yes, except I didn’t copy the footage from other nutshell videos.

My rating of the lackadaisy pilot is 614 out of 10 it’s really good. We are clearly entering an animation renaissance.
You bet we are. By “we” I mean the people, even though I’m not an animator, I can still appreciate how much effort has been put into the whole animation.
Anyway, my rating would be like 400 out of 10. Great plot, excellent lighting, but it’s not perfect. I’m not saying it’s terrible, but in some shots, sometimes when the characters move, there are guidelines which are hard to see but they’re there, and it almost makes the animation look more like a W.I.P. kind of animation, rather than a complete animation like the pilot for the Ren and Stimpy show back in the 90s.
However, it’s not a bad start, and I’m sure that the animated series will be even better. After all, everyone’s gotta start from somewhere.
@@T128Productions I agree with it. I’m fully charged for the series. I reckon it’s going to be a more in depth look into lackadaisy.
C&O 614 out of 10?
Exactly @@kaseyleitchnextgen3281
I’m not into the “insert-railroad-name-and-road-number-and-add-it-to-everything-(subscribers,-[???]-Out-of-10,-etc.)-trend.” it just doesn’t make any sense. This generation, man…

And don’t forget the current whistle, which was from another GS class locomotive.
@@T128Productions Uh-huh. Yes. After SP #4449's 1990 Whistle
If you ask me, I’d say that my favorite whistle would be 4458’s 6 chime from the late 1980s.
@@T128Productions Correct. SP #4458 was the only GS-5 in the state of California, well, you say.
I would also say Oregon too, since the Coast Daylight service ran along the entire coastline.

lol@@T128Productions
Just a joke, that’s all. What I mean by “Lo” is Hi-Lo. If you have seen videos of outdoor warning sirens, they sound two tones when activated, like the Thunderbolt 1003, and various Whelen (vortex, hornet, etc.) sirens, and basically any other electronic siren, even on most emergency vehicles worldwide. In countries like Germany, Britain, etc. for instance.
Several trains in Britain (as well as other countries throughout Europe and some other countries) sound off their two-tone air horns, the high tone and a low tone. Same thing applies to some of the steam locomotives as well, except they have whistles which work the similar way as the horns do on the diesel/electric counterparts.
@@T128Productions ohh
I used to find these kinds of videos funny back then, now I can’t help but cringe at them
