    How great is the old and real country music! In minutes Buck articulates the the total end of his emotional life, yet does it with grace and understatement while the band plays on and life still goes on. Who today can do this?

    I'm Navajo, when in high school year in Santa Fe IAIA, Buck Owens made me singing his songs which I'd enjoyed learning listening fr. record albums, Loves gonna live here again my favorite, HS yrs 1966-69

    My parent's had this album so Buck's version was all I knew. After I got older I heard Paycheck's and it has a better shuffle beat. I love Buck. We always watched his show. I think that he is under appreciated. I was SO lucky to see him and Dwight Yokum in person back when Streets of Bakersfield was popular. Dwight never quit smiling the whole time that they were on stage together. R.I.P. Buck.

    We were driving down the highway when my wife started out of the blue singing A 11. I knew there was a reason I married her.

      She either heard it from Buck Owens or Johnny paycheck. Hold on to that gal and be sure to copiously kiss the lips that sing such songs

    Well synchronized song, Tom Brumley on the pedal steel guitar saturating without overpowering Buck's voice, great beat. Loved the jukebox with this song and many others like George Jones, whispering Bill, Connie Smith, Loretta Lynn, Marty Robbins, etc. All RIP, sorely missed but not forgotten.

      Thanks, I know both ladies are still with us, but they are very classic country like the others. Love their songs, I live with them only in CDs, I can't stand the so-called country today, haven't listen to radio country about 2 decades now.

    • @johnhood9861
      @johnhood9861 Před 3 lety

      Yes, Connie Smith, Whispering Bill Anderson and Loretta Lynn are much alive, as is their music. My references were for all the Classic Country artists that departed, their golden contributions are the standards of country.

    there were a few that had that real rich voice, and Buck was one of them..Met him on occasions at the Crystal Palace in Bakersfield while having dinner with my family.

    Listen it's Buck Owens, the best in the business, when he sang bridge over trouble water, that song should have been number 1, he sings that song with a lot of energy with backing vocals with Don Rich and the best band ever
