Simplified story:
Monsters, called trucid or something, people go hunt for them and get paid, back in world war 2, hotel converted into hospital, nuns decided to help, patients dying, experiences going on from those patients’ body, figure is born, souls were trapped and turn into the entities, people prayed for protection, guiding light is send down to help, mixing up the place to trap the entities, figure’s power is to hard to mix up so just trapped in 2 rooms: 50 and 100 (my theory tho not included), we as a monster hunter mentioned earlier, went for a try, guiding light trapped us so we can’t escape and keep the place a secret, and our journey is what we are doing now

Here’s my theory about the crucifix when you try to use it on a-60, a-60 is such a strong demon/cryptic it has the power to weaken the crucifix! Or it’s the guiding light blocking us from continuing our adventure in the rooms!
I thought it was because its another hotel/place that Guiding Light Cant see. Thats why it says whe u pull out the crucifix/candle "That it feels lighter than usual"
Keep in mind, the guiding light is yellow in the rooms. And it doesn't help us in the dark...

OR, guiding light is in the doors universe, and since the ROOMS universe is a different universe, guiding light doesnt exist/isnt in that universe, which makes the candle/crucifix not work

I think that brown stuff in the hotel that appears randomly near door 59 wear figure is is horse manure and thats why flies are near it so I think they made figure in the library were they studied how to make him in the library as well.

Another sign of the guiding light protecting us is that the guiding light is what made the figure go like “ooo my pizza is here” and ran away. That’s because the guiding light made a lamp fall and the lamp broke making noise and angered figure, it’s guiding light because when the cutscene ends, if you look left you can see sparks from the guiding light.
