“When I was born, my parents decided I was going to be a doctor”😂
This is actually true in Asia.
Asian parents thing 😂
Eastern European parents
Typical asian parents 😅😅😅
Facts 😂
This doctor is such a gem to be so respectful yet make us all aware of the realism of plastic surgery
This is the first time he revealed what happened to that patient. I appreciate his honesty, and as a RN, don't think it was his fault.
I’m an RN too and the fact that years later he still got shaken up taking about it shows the empathy he has that many skilled popular doctors don’t have.
@@gmac1384 Absolutely!!
I love the fact you adopt senior dogs Dr. Youn ..So kind and caring!!!
This doctor is amazing. Honest, compassionate, real and so down to earth.
I wish all doctors have this kind of ethics 🙏🏽
As someone who has considered a nose job before, this is refreshing to hear. Glad i didn’t go through with it! 😂
Same, I got suckered into wanting a less "ethnic" nose but after doing all this research for a nose job I have learned to love my super ethic nose, idgaf, I love my face now
I was told once that a bump on the nose is a symbol of dignity and it instantly made me not want a nose job anymore.
Ethnic noses are so beautiful! I would never change mine @@taminino732
Lucky I still want one 😩my biggest insecurity. It’s been broken
twice.
I STILL want one however my brain tells me heck no. Far too many risk that outweigh the reward and thier are so many alternative surgeries to do to make me think less of my nose
I love how he is in general. He reminds me of my cardiologist as well as my heart surgeon. I feel safe in their care and I’m actually having heart surgery in under 12 hours from now which is my second.
My first was a bypass in January and now I’m having an ASD Closure both out of the Toronto General Hospital which is a teaching hospital. They have animals that visit prior to surgery to help calm you as well as a volunteer program that only previous heart patients like myself who come and talk to newer patients because they went through the same thing!
The patient who died may have had that heart attack whether he did or didn’t do the surgery. I really feel for him because you can see how this still genuinely hurts him. 😢❤
Hi! I hope you are doing well and make a full recovery❤️
@@tarabullgamingAw, thank you for being nice. You don’t know how 😢 this simple act of kindness affects someone. I wish you have a great life! ❤
I hope you are recovering well at home ! ❤
I am from Malaysia. I watched many of his youtube videos and tik tok videos. I gained a lot of knowledge from him for plastic surgery and wellness related information.
He is such a great and amazing doctor. Very genuine and kind.
He is amazing, I love how due to that sad experience he got to find a way to help others in healthier way. I love he is realistic and seems to care for his patients
I like how Dr Joun thinks. He is very honest and respectful towards life. He is one of a kind
I love Dr. Youn. He's so honest
So happy to hear a reputable doc speak on BII. Ruined my life…got them a month before they came back on the market in 2006 as part of a study. No follow up from the study (not even a phone call) and when I got extremely ill in 2015, Vanderbilt refused to give me my medical records. Finally got them and turns out I was given the wrong implants, lots of things in there I never agreed to. As soon as I realized it may be BII, I had them taken out asap and almost immediate improvement. Still have brain fog and some rashes that come and go but it was almost a 180 with blood work to prove silicone toxicity had resolved. Wouldn’t wish my experience on anyone.
I would love to have one of Dr Anthony s books.
Did any of the brain fog go away? I'm afraid I have BII.
@@lms2932 it did but that was one symptom that took a while to resolve. I still have my moments but I would say I’ve recovered 98% in the last 5 years. Listen to your body and maybe have a conversation with your doctor . It’s a very hard and personal decision. I wish you the best.
He’s been the best guest so far
Just watched the Dark Side of Cosmetic surgery - absolutely fascinating BUT what I loved especially was the end comments where he told us about adopting elderly dogs. This is a subject so close to my heart. I only have one little dog - she is 14 - but my hobby now is supporting dog shelters. I make blankets, beds, coats and purchase food - I also donate funds especially when the shelters put out a request to cover veterinary costs for dogs which have been abused or injured. I love to read or hear about people who support these dogs in their later years. Please pass on my sincere admiration for what his wife and him do. Bryden Shiells - Cambridge, New Zealand.
This is a perfect podcast, you have good conversation, bring guests on that we wanna see, talk about things we wanna hear, the vibe inside the room is beautiful, you’re ofc aesthetically pleasing to look at and listen to, the introduction is a great hook. I love this podcast so professional and well done.
Loved how he was respectful of all procedures and not critical of individuals who opt for them even if he’s not fully supportive of it. He made it about how at the end of the day, it is a personal choice. Very knowledgeable!
Oh my you got to interview Tony!! I love that man! He is a CAREFUL surgeon. Can you believe!?!? I have watched him for years. And any man that LOVES doggies as he does, is very special man! ❤️ !!!
His way of narrating just makes me want to not look away and concentrate and im glad hes using this attention for a good cause thank you mari for bringing him in!!
Love him! As someone in the medical field we need more people like him! Super good episode! ❤
Dr Yun I’m going to listen to you! I was really considering a brow lift at 30 with lip fillers and a subtle nose job but now 😅 you know what - looking natural feels better.
Came to support Dr Youn ❤
As for Bres Implant Illness.. it’s a foreign object in a persons body. Of course it could cause some long term negative affects in the body.
I discovered Dr. Youn in 2020 and his sense of humor besides his vast knowledge about skin care kept me in good spirits. Thank you Dr. Youn. I love your book.
This was PHENOMENAL! Host: GREAT questions! 👏🏼 Guest: 👌🏼 thanks for sharing all your wisdom & truth with us!
I am really appreciate Dr. Anthony ‘s honesty. Thank you.
This video deserves alot more likes and views. It was so refreshing to not only see and hear a doctor who is so intelligent but actually cares about ppl and their wellbeing and not influenced by greed. I commend you as well for having great questions and allowing Dr. Yoen to speak. One of my pet peeves in YT is when the host constantly interrupts their guest. I've learned alot today and I just subscribed to you.
I love how hes an ethically sound doctor
What an amazing episode!! Thank you both.
I love Dr Y, he’s so down to earth and speaks the truth
Excited to watch! He’s the best!
Loved hearing Dr. Youn talk about his experiences, and loved your interview questions.. really interesting stuff. Thank you for this podcast 😄
I love Dr Anthony Youn! Thanks for thisss
It's really nice listening to him. A wise man
He does seem like a really good person and great doctor which is RARE
Thanks a lot for the education ❤
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Dr. Youn !! Such a kind, patient & TOTALLY understanding doctor !!
This was a great interview, thank you! 💕
Loved all the information! Thanks.
Wonderful interview with Dr.Youn. I have so much respect for this man. Thank You!
Thank you so much for educating us regarding pros and cons of these highly requested procedures. We're always looking to look better and as in my case I'm nervous to start seeing signs of aging. I love how he's honest and humble. I work at the airport and seen traveling with his family and he's the most sweetest person you can meet. Thank you again.
I am impressed with Dr Anthony’s honesty.
Thank you for the video guys! Two great peoples :)
Dr. Youn gives such good advice.
Love this podcast❤️🙌
Honest and Very important topics
I follow this man from so long
He's so precious
Loved this! Over the years I have wanted so many things. But never did. I’m super happy the things I wanted went out of style and they never changed my body. But the one thing I am convened I need could only be fixed by surgery. 4 c/section left me a belly I can’t no matter how thin I am I can’t get it away.
It is real, I did my explanation and my health is a lot better. Keep that true Dr. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Enjoyed .. Thank you!
Really interesting interview. Thank you! I have followed doctor Youn for some time now, but I learned a lot of new things about him in this video. ❤
Great podcast. I am in my late 70s.....you helped me to decide that I do not need any plastic surgery. Just will age naturally. I do use moisturisers, but that is it. I do not wear any makeup or eye stuff. People think I look younger than my age.
I do want to buy one of your books. Will pass along to two daughters and the five granddaughters. No one in the family has had plastic surgery.
Omg I’m so glad he spoke about fat transfer to the breast. I know I would get bii if I got implants so I’ve been wondering about this for a while!
Good job young lady!! GREAT podcast (!!). Tony Youn is the absolute best. Loved your questions. I think you covered everything. And, of course, i learned i will never get my lips done. Pain might be too great. Much love Dear!! ❤️ ❤❤
How a DR who never had implants can say that breast implant illness is impossible? That doesn't make sense. Good for him for speaking the truth
Go Dr. Youn! Dropping the gems! Thank you for this!
Huge guest - love dr youn
this is why I had my facelift at 54. did not want to wait until im 65 and at higher risk for complications. 😮
Thankyou. This was so inspiring & interesting. I’ve followed this Dr now for 4yrs. He’s very knowledgeable and easy to understand. I really enjoyed this podcast. Especially today as Iam suffering with influenza, 😢. Thanks again cheers
I wanted to do a lipo with some BBL many years ago and my brother, a anesthesiologist that works with plastic surgeons, told me he would NEVER let me do that. He said: you wanna do a liposuction? Fine. But inject far on your body? NO. He totally convinced me when he explained the danger and the bad results he saw. The surgeons we worked with don’t even recommend that procedure. And he was talking about the procedures done by good plastic surgeons. That crazy ones people do around.. I can’t even imagine the risks. I am from Brazil and I’ve heard horror stories about girls that did BBL with something even worse then fat. Some of them got deformed, others just d…
Not often a doctor will display such openness.I appreciate this and I do believe in BII for the simple fact that anything foreign within the body can cause potential adverse effects~
He is just so cool, all around! 🌟
Hello from Munic/Germany. Great Video. Dr. Youn is absolutely nice and I would Trust him with my body!
Best Regards from Munic👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙋♀️Gabrielle
As someone who has body dismorphia I'm kind of lucky that I don't have money for esthetic surgery bcs I'm aware that I would probably go overboard with it and it could actually make my body dysmorphia worse honestly
I RESPECT YOU.
45:52 note to self: which collagen supplements to look for
Love love him..I wish all PS is as honest as him
Love him ❤! Follow Dr. Youn, he just an amazing doctor.
I am so here for this interview! Love this guy!!
Te amo Dr. Youn
What has made a difference for me to help keep my collagen is HRT. I feel like women should look into HRT in their 30's as our estrogen declines because it affects collagen inour bodies.
I use to have a muffin top but if was alllll skin. My stomach was so saggy after I had my son but my stomach tightened up after yearsssss and I use to have a nice flat stomach that was full of stretch marks but now I have a belly at 28 because of gaining weight but I’m ok now. I’m almost 30. I can’t be super tiny my whole life lol
I want a copy of the book❤
Have had my implants for a full year and I never felt more happy and confident. Other then sensation changes, the healing was pretty easy and smooth sailing for me. The millions of us who have successful surgeries are the VAST silent majority. Most people only discuss the scary stories but i want to be one voice stating how happy I am with it. Please do the research before commiting to any procedures.
Yeah I think the point is to make sure you're in the right mindset, do your research and pick a good surgeon that cares!
@@radioactive_sunflowerz2450Yes exactly. The original comment has a hint of survivors bias whether intentional or not. theres many things that can go wrong YEARS and YEARS after your surgery. Some even decades down the line. Which is WHY It’s important and is WHY this is so heavily talked about . Especially with the boob job being a more popular procedure among young women. Many dont fully understand the changes their boobs and body will go through in circumstances in which they become pregnant, gain weight, lose weight, or generally age. The initial look is not set in stone forever. It’s not uncommon to experience complications with the shifting, splitting, or changes to the silicone/implants later down the line. Many women have experienced this hence why it is so talked about . It’s not about shading people who like their boob job lol.
But the important thing to remember is that going through BI surgery without complications doesn’t mean you’re automatically out of the woods. There are still risks of complications even 10-20 years after.
Not to mention the average age range of this is 19-34 in which your body is still going through many weight, lifestyle or health changes that can affect the implants. Unlike most other plastic surgeries, your weight plays a HUGE role in the appearance of your implants. oftentimes people run into complications or find them to be too heavy MANY, many, years later after they have gained weight or had children .Thus it’s an important conversation to be had.
I love mine too. & I’m the one with nice big B he was talking about 😂
My surgeon also said you don’t need it. I know I don’t but my reason to get it is not to get it bigger but to always have the fat on the top, it deflated as you get older. Implants will always keep your boobs round, that was my goal. Got my implants at 34, not too young
I was like you.. 8 years later that BII got real... 😢 I'm happy to be natural again.
Fukimo at the face yoga method is great for making one feel better.
Respect and appreciation from Afghanistan ❤ would be extremely happy if get a chance to have a copy of the book 😊.
Follow up question please; does the collagen filler come along with the same risks as hyaluronic acid when injecting and does that also have a dissolvable antidote if they inject it in an artery/blood vessel to reverse it?
This is a great question! Something I’m actually curious in knowing myself since I’ve been eyeing Sculptra and Renuva.
Doctors take an oath ..FIRST do NO HARM!!...❤..Good for you DR.YOUN for researching and caring enough to do so for your patients ❤..Stand your ground TRUTH will always PREVAIL.❤
so about the breast cancer/fat transfer topic: Fat tissue isn’t really a tissue with a high percentage of mother cells in comparison to other tissues but other than than healthy mothers cells can not differentiate into cancer cells. Cancer cells only come from previous cancer cells, cancer by itself self isnt like an illness that can be contagious to healthy cells so transfering healthy mother cells into a tumor tissue wont affect the growth speed of the tumor
I use low level laser therapy for various health conditions, but it happens to be a red laser. Don't know if that has anything to do with the next bit, but the laser, as a happy accident, has significantly improved my eczema, some areas are entirely gone now and the skin in the areas I use the laser on regularly is more toned and I i can't see as much cellulite or stretch marks in those areas either. I have a good value home laser I use daily. Definitely research it. Its amazing for me
High integrity doctor here. Michigan based. Howdy Michigander from another.
I feel like drs aren’t talking about getting breast cancer because they don’t care as much. They just go w what they were taught and don’t question anything. But drs like this question things and actually care that by doing a surgery, you may also give them cancer. He thinks deeper and on a more individual level. It’s not just a job for him, helping people is his passion.
How do I sign up for the contest that was mentioned at the end of this video? Thank you.
Love him
Which red light device do you use?
Dr.Anthony Youn truthful he geuine the same as Dr .William Li so honest both smart ♥️🇵🇭🇺🇸
I Love him so much ❤❤❤❤❤
LOVE him❤️
Ever since I was young I wanted a nose job because I would be made fun of because of how big my nose is, now I’m trying to find comfort in my nose but I have a Jewish/French nose so the hump and a fat tip and it’s still hard to get used to, all I want is the hump gone and the tip of my nose to be reduced but I’m also terrified of surgery I also lost 90 pounds as well and have little lose skin but I’ve gotten used to it and I’d rather gain muscle to help with the small amount of lose skin and it’s helped a good amount
I have a bump on my nose too and as a teenager I thought I would eventually get a nose job. I casually mentioned it to an acquaintance once and they told me I’d be crazy to because a bump on the nose is a symbol of dignity. From that moment on, any desire to get a nose job disappeared. I’m so grateful for those words. I since gained a little bit of weight and it made the bump on my nose less noticeable due to my whole nose being slightly more full looking.
Look into non surgical nose job. The wants your describing completely align with the purpose of a non surgical nose job. I am getting one this summer. it’s about $790
@@CAsaiditYour nose will change to become droopier as time passes. it “grows” in a way.
Give the truth and allow the choice.

I will never EVER willingly go under anesthesia for a cosmetic reason but local anesthesia where your awake for like some minor minor change I feel is a safer more comfortable way to
I have a friend who had breast implant , later on she had them removed due to side affects..by the way according to my dietitian over eating protein is not good either.. now the day bone broth tends to have heavy metals, I am careful about that.
Studies say water in plastic bottles is bad for you but let's put silicon in your body.. 😒

13:00 wait a second we barely talked about the daughter and mother who lost her life / daughter lost her mother? What happens when a patient passes? What did you do to make it through this? That is the just the hook to get us to watch and then we do not hear anything else about it?
I'm a bit confused. Breast implant symptoms/syndrome has been known about since the 1970's when lawsuits first started for them. Some women have even been diagnosed with lupus from them. Social media had nothing to do with it.
