  • Wild Adventures is a Herschend park with 6 roller coasters, but seems to never be included in theme park discussions. While their roller coaster lineup may not be the most impressive, this was actually a very nice park. It has a very colorful setting and a pretty diverse collection of rides catering to every level of thrills. And then they have an extensive display of wildlife, including multiple methods of viewing the animals in their care. Overall, while this park could definitely use some love and attention, they have more than enough for a day of fun... as well as killing zombies!
    This is So Many Parks, So Little Time; a series where I document the many amusement parks I stop by this summer. Join me for some fun times, some great people, and of course the coasters. New videos every Tuesday.

    Tasmanian River Rapids is my favorite !

      Thats awesome! I typically avoid river rapids rides, but i think it’s really cool how Wild Adventures has one with the whirlpool element.

      @@percpoppin3353 Personally, I just don’t enjoy getting soaked at parks, which is why I tend to avoid shoot-the-chutes rides too. But I love log flumes.

    This park is truly an underrated gem. Well landscaped, wonderful employees, and some pretty decent food options too! The trail area is by far my favorite section of the park, although the new boardwalk on the lake and Discovery Outpost are really nice areas too. The Boomerang is by far the best coaster in the park and is quite smooth, although it wasn’t as pleasant when I first rode it in 2021. Twisted Typhoon is slightly tolerable towards the back, but the closer to the front you get the more it reminded me of Flight Deck.
    You definitely didn’t miss out much on Go Bananas, aside from having the slowest moving line in the park it’s the worst wild mouse I’ve done, no padding on the seats and harsh brakes covering the entire ride, making it severely painful!
    Aside from getting a good standout attraction in the future, I hope the park can improve on their animal exhibits as well, some of them seem really small and they do have a good amount of empty land behind the rapids ride. The area that used to house the Go-Karts and mini golf would also be good for a future expansion, and maybe their first new ride in decades.

      Totally agreed on the park being underrated! The trail was such a cool area. I didn't know it existed prior to visiting, you really forget your in a theme park midway through the trail. I agree on Boomerang being their best coaster. While I never found Twisted Typhoon to be nearly as bad as Flight Deck, it reminded me of Thunderhawk in that people would tout it as being one of the "better SLCs," and they are, but are still kind of a hot mess lol.
      While I'm not torn up about missing Go Bananas, it would have been fun if only for the novelty of the coaster's role in Zombieland.
      I would never say no to improved animal enclosures. The plot Cheetah left behind would also be good for more space dedicated to the animals.

    I actually used to work there as a ride op (last summer specifically). This was really fun to watch and hear your opinions on! Especially with Twisted as I knew that ride is extremely rough and bangs heads everywhere. It was also fun playing spot-the-ex-coworker and I saw a few faces I recognized.
    As for Go Bananas, I think it's been re-opened by now (I don't live there anymore so not 100% sure on that), but can confirm it was at least closed for a while. It got shut down like 2 or 3 days after I started in May and wasn't anywhere near ready to open when I left early September. It originally was due to some shenanigans with one of its motherboards dying and not being able to get the correct part rip. Something else may have changed since then tho so who knows
    This was a super cool video to watch. I loved hearing your opinion on the rides! They were really cool to hear :)

      Thanks so much, and thanks for sharing your own experience at the park (this was filmed Labor Day last year, so it’s possible this was during your time at the park). Go Bananas has reopened; it actually got a brand new paint job and is now called Marsh Mayhem. Its a really fun place and I’m glad that they’re spending some money in upkeeping their attractions.

    The biggest thing that I hate is that because I’m so fat I can’t take the 20 minute drive and go ride some rides because I can’t fit.

    6:58 - Thank you! But … where’s the review?
    No matter! Until you review Swampwater Snake, I will just go over to the Winchester and have me a pint until this blows over (I hear they have Guinness on Double-tap).
    Sidebar: with the number of SLC’s you’ve ridden this year, how are you still standing?

    • @CivilianSatellite
      @CivilianSatellite  Před rokem

      Yeah boiiiiii! Swampwater Snake was alright, but I wish its stats were just a little higher. It would've been better if it was just 317 feet taller, 6,340 feet longer, built by B&M, and themed to bees.
      I think it's because I skipped out on Vampire at Walibi Belgium. If I had ridden that SLC, I think my body would have hit critical mass by the time I reached Twisted Typhoon.

    I honestly think this park should get sold off and instead have Six Flags acquire this and therefore conquering Georgia’s amusement park industry sometime in the future. Hershend never likes to invest in this park

    • @CivilianSatellite
      @CivilianSatellite  Před 8 měsíci

      I'm honestly not so sure if Six Flags would be a better operator or not. I feel like the park is doing well enough and there's no competition that there's not much incentive to invest in the park. Sort of like how parks like SFDL, Frontier City, or La Ronde don't get too many major investments either. That being said, I'd love to see somebody unlock this park's true potential. I feel like it's a good park that could easily be a great park.
