Okay but why did Sarah have such a beautiful singing voice. Holy sh....
Yeah and she also can do a perfect Ariana grande voice
It's a shame Cheetah is no more. It wasn't the best wooden coaster, but it really helped round out the park's lineup. And Viking Voyage (now Hurricane at Fun Spot) was just hilariously fun.
It's rough as hell haha they didn't care about it...
Legit Viking Voyage was the best ride there!
@@Brandon-qd2lb Neither do your parents,
They got rid of cheetah? I think moved a way a couple of years ago out of Georgia but Cheetah was my favorite.
Haven’t been in over 15 years, but I used to come here all the time as a kid and I always remember the staff being very friendly.
they have one of those mini mouse coasters at Luna Park in NY. Probably one of my proudest credits - the ride op gave us weird looks and said we were the only adults to ride it since he started working there. I put my hands up and screamed during the ride
It feels like the more you guys visit the smaller parks the more i see you love the parts of parks I really enjoy: “gezelligheid” (Dutch word) it basically means being in a park with great atmosphere and feeling right at home. I hope you keep on finding theee small gems
Sarah is really good at singing
I totally agree. I enjoyed my time at Wild Adventures a few years ago. Cheetah was the best coaster at the park, and Twisted Typhoon was glossy smooth when I rode it. It is a nice park. Swampwater Snake is a Zamperla mini mouse. There's a few of them around, I think 4 in the country.
I've been there, I honestly liked it. Yeah it looks empty in the dry section. But I still enjoyed the moment, most rides were walk on. Friendly employees. Just need a few few things to give it a glow up, (i.e. - Get a ground up RMC to revive Cheetah, Vekoma Bermuda Blitz and call it "Twisted Terrain".
It would probably be a better idea to go with another manufacturer. Three parks with RMCs in the same state?
@@scottnelson9 Alright, how about a GCI Woodie and call it "Cheetah Run"?
They fully tore down cheetah so this will never happen its the saddest thing ever
@@Dragonblood220 Not even a "ground up"?
I could see them getting a S&S Screamin' Swing.
Thanks for covering my hometown park!! It honestly not as bad as people make it out to be and I'm surprised how many people miss this gem. Side note: They really need to RMC Cheetah!
In terms of staff and atmosphere this park seems to be pretty good it's just that the ride lineup is horrible
I think Wild Adventures tries to focus more on their zoological attractions than their thrilling attractions. But if they wanted to, they could become the Busch Gardens Tampa of Georgia.
8:33 all the og’s would call it the Bug Out
Great vlog CS, as Central FL residents we make the drive to ATL several times a year and we have always been interested in Wild Adventures but never bothered to stop because of bad reviews. After watching your take it definitely looks like it's worth stopping in and checking it out.
Love the channel, keep up the good work!! 👍👍
Nice you both flying together and Sarah's singing is lovely
I live in Valdosta! Woody Harrelson was staying in the house next door to me during filming. The guy I bought the house from had beers with him! I’m glad you liked the park.
OK....the BEST part of this Vlog is Sarah's Voice!!! As a professional studio vocalist, I can say, she needs to put those chops to work. Get It Girl!!
If you go back, I recommend going around Halloween time. The park does its own version of universal's Halloween horror nights and I remember it being one of the most fun times to go because of how much effort they put into the spooky atmosphere and special attractions
That's the funniest thing ever but they didn't have terror in the wild last year and cast members don't know about this year either I hope this changes though
Thank you all so much for posting this! BGW is currently my home park but I’m moving to North Florida and Wild Adventures will become my home park. All of my new work colleagues talk about how great the park is especially for kids. So the locals like it which is usually a better barometer than people who have only been there once expecting a premier park. I like how you all find the good in things and also understand the target market and the reality of the locations. I got that same vibe from the Pepa Pig Land video.
That probably explains why they closed Cheetah - They tried to make Wild Adventures a bigger thrill park, but for whatever reason (probably due to its relatively remote location imo) Herschend saw that it worked better as a smaller family park.
The animals are a nice hook that help it stand out tho. That gives them a leg up compared to something like Michigan's Adventure.
I'm glad you guys enjoyed it, but take it from a former employee, there's more that breaks down there than is worth it. Some background: Wild Adventures breaks staff up into "Teams" each team specializes in two to three rides. Mine were Boomerang, The train and River Ride. There's alot that goes on behind the scenes that make it not worth it. Company policy states they have to keep coolers of fresh water in each ride area. They always forget to fill them. 2 if you get hurt at work? You're working through it. Period. I fractured my ankle on their broken pavement on the way to clock in one time but because there was a concert guess who still had to work? You guessed it. Dont even get me started on how many times I was forced to skip break so didn't eat all day (6am to 9pm) Park was much better in the 90s, they need alot more improvement these days.
4:00 Sarah representing well for us eagles fans
Lol the ride ops on the sky coaster were hilarious
The Beast at Kings Island just finished its renovation, you should review it it’s so good.. And Sarah’s voice
the way they were riding go bananas 😂😭
i rode Go Bananas back around 2010 when it was still themed "Bug Out"
it still remains my one and only wild mouse credit.
coasters don't scare me, but those jerky suckers sure do. haven't been since, but still seems like a nice park. how did this place gain a bad rap?
Probably because the biggest coasters in their lineup are the classic Vekoma duo.
Honestly I think it is the scariest ride in the park. Lol
Got me wanting to watch Zombieland Now 🤣
Every Kentucky Kingdom fan: “Please don’t do this to us Herschend.” 😰
Y’all missed out on cheetah it was awesome 🤩
I wondered where all the rides from my home town park went....superb vid.....
Go on ahead with that lovely singing voice! Alight Sarah!
The ‘Coming Soon’ edit after “It’s still an SLC…” 😂😂😂😂
Looks like a blast to someone that doesn't get to go to parks anymore!
You made this place look really fun, I will try and go there.
This park actually looks fun. I drove near it on the way to Miami for a cruise. It’s not the best park in the world for coasters, but I think this would be a good fun park to visit
I enjoy seeing someone not from my area enjoy my home amusement park knowing really only dis theme park even though I haven't gone to it many times it still holds a lot of my childhood and even now recent memory.
For me, the park's saving grace was Cheetah, but since they tore it down, I had no reason to come back. It's nice to see you can still have a well rounded experience at the very least. I'll return as soon as they open a new coaster. 😁
This video proves that Herschend is one of, if not the best, operators of theme parks in the country. Even their lowest park on the totem pole is enjoyable. After all, customer service has always been a huge priority, and while they may not have great rides (even Cheetah was terrible), there's plenty of fun stuff to do at the park to make the day enjoyable.
And it has a solid flat ride line up
Park is freaking garbage. Went downhill when they began to own it
7:02 this ride model is one of my 99 credits, they have one in Austin. It’s a Zamperla Mini Mouse so basically just a kiddie wild mouse. Fun smooth kiddie credit where you slide all over the seats haha
Gotta love all the Vulfpeck (Outro: 4:20) and Snarky Puppy (Tio Macaco: 5:13) playing everywhere
Did You guys know there used to be a dark ride at Six Flags Over Georgia called Tales of the Okefenokee. It looked really cool. Also I should probably check out Wild Adventures at some point, it looks like a fun Herschend park
It's called Monster Mansion now and it's super cool!
Wild Adventures casually playing Snarky Puppy on the radio? Based park.
Sarah should make a song that voice is beautiful a roller coaster theme song 🔥💯 that'll be slick 🔥 I bet it would be a hit record
I went there for the first time on a band trip and were on the twisted tycoon and I never rode a looping coaster but it was amazing and now I really want to go to other parks 🙂
Where I live at the end of the year most of the 8th graders in OC go to knotts. And the seniors go to Disney at night
5:12 I would've never imagined Snarky Puppy being played in an amusement park. Good music taste, Wild Adventures!
Yo! I immediately recognized that too. Looked through the comments to see if anyone else did. Love me some good Tio Macaco
Doin’ the doggy paddle 😂
This is me being Iowan, but a quick question: Will you visit the new Lost Island park in Iowa? I would love to see a review of it when it opens on June 10.
At 7:02 - fun fact: the exact same model can be found at Fun Fore All in Cranberry PA. Next time you are in Pittsburgh and need another shameless coaster milestone, you should make it a side-trip.
*gasps* is Sarah a Eagles fan! If she is...Let's gooooo!!!!!!
The parks old standout ride used to be cheetah the CCI woodie and I was really bummed when it went defunct. I originally thought that they were going to RMC it but its been so long that I doubt its going to happen.
It won't happen for sure sadly as cheetah was tore down 😭
they tore the cheetah down?! omg
Very nice 👍👍 your vlog 💯 really I liked 👌👌👌👌👌
I was going to do the drive from Orlando to Six Flags over Georgia and stop by Wild Adventures for a credit run, however Over Georgia's operating hours were silly that Friday so went Orlando to Carowinds instead. Looks like it's a pretty cool park though ignoring the sad coaster lineup. RMC conversion of Cheetah would make it a destination for me to visit in the future.
It’s amazing how every woman’s voice changes when confronted by a little animal!! Hahaha 🤣
We go monthly and love it!
Grew up going to this park, great memories.
Went there for the first time last year during Labor Day weekend. Had a great time, but the coasters were running absolutely awful. Boomerang had some weird jolts on the second spike that THRASHED your skull into the headrest, and Twisted Typhoon was running just as bad as Flight Deck. Must’ve been 2021 maintenance or something 😬
They did say that they got some new trains just 2 months ago, that would have been after your last visit
@@coastaku1954 that's good. Hopefully I'll plan on visiting some time when they get a new coaster. I actually live about 90 miles from it so I would love to see them get something good.
@@mackenziefritz8169 I live like 3000miles from this park, I will not be coming any time soon
That's weird, because I rode both in 2019 and they ran very smooth. Boomerang was smoother than Flying Cobras. Sad to hear if this is true
@@Wesley-76 yeah, hoping to go on them again this year see if they're a bit better. Maybe maintenance last year was a fluke
Taylor, if you want to feed and pet a Giraffe (10:43) you should go to your home town zoo. The Metro Richmond Zoo is one of the quirkiest and most absurd zoos I've ever visited but you can feed and pet the giraffes almost like it was a petting zoo. And there's always extra feed on the ground so you don't even have to pay for it.
On that note, while this is Coaster Studios I wonder if we'll see any videos from traditional zoos. I mean you visit Animal Kingdom, Great Adventure and BGT but you also visited Kolmarden which is more zoo than amusement park. And you could pick up some credits at Zoo Tampa and the Columbus Zoo.
I have been going to the Metro Richmond Zoo for my whole life! Its an amazing zoo!
This place was always very interesting to me but not for any ride or attraction, but because I skewered the internet to find any information about the founder and former owner Kent. I wanted to know everything that went into building a park from scratch.
Was the cheeta wooden coaster closed ?
The park has a cool history as well, started out as a petting zoo!
just moved to the area and i've been reluctant to try wild adventures, but this video made the difference. thanks for the objective insight and review. we actually had a great time and it really does exceed expectations for a park this size and given how locals talk about it. i had to unlike and re-like just to give the two thumbs up on this video.
owa's indoor water park opens june 27th
I have a buddy in Minnesota that's going to Velleyfair Soon, and it's for a Field Trip
Swampwater Snake is a Zamperla Mini Mouse, more common at FECs.
An alcoholic beverage at a hershend park, that's surprising.
More like Mild Sadventures amirite amirite I don't know if I'm right I haven't watched the video yet.
Good video, its honestly not a bad little park. They have a pretty good zoo section, park food isn't awful and their collection of coasters is decent for the location. I moved last year from Pittsburgh to Tallahassee, so this is now the most close thing I have to a home park now. Its no Kennywood at all which is one of the best coaster parks out there. But they have some well taken care of Vekomas and a decent selection of flats. Wife isnt so much a coaster person but likes zoos. So its a good place. Their park food and season passes are dirt cheap to. Its not Cedar Point lol, but it aint bad
I could have done a school trip to Hershey park, but there was a 3 grand fee because we would do other really expensive activities too, so I didn't
There is way she has been to those 4 school field trip vacations to parks. Iv only been to 1 and it was in middle school and it was Six Flags St. Louis.
Wish these rides were open when I went
Parks youve yet to visit, Arnolds park in iowa and Family kingdom amusement park in south Carolina I believe.
Just went last week and it was PACKED. Same stuff in the video, cool little park.
They also have pretty good concerts and for the area, it's great because there's not a ton of entertainment in probably at least a 100 mile radius.
They even have an amphitheater for big-name concerts
3:21 WHY? Ya been snuffin some powder!? Tisk tisk ;) Looks like a decent little park. Really need an RMC or a Gerstlaurer family coaster or Gravity Group Wooden family coaster or something.
Didn't Twisted Typhoon used to be at Opryland called The Hangman?
I went 4 times in 2019 (season passes) and this park is nice. The setting and all the animals are cool, and they have a good collection of flat rides. The Boomerang and SLC are quite smooth as well. I rode Cheetah, and it was stupid rough, probably more so than Scream Machine, so you didn't miss much. I'd love an RMC Cheetah. Also recommend the train as it lets you see more animals, and, if it's open, Tasmanian River Rapids. They also host concerts, and we went to see Skillet, who likes to come every year!
Yeah they have some pretty decent vekomas roller coasters but yeah Cheetah was mad rough that’s mostly why the got rid of it and they probably going to do a RMC a completely new layout 🤷🏾♂️🔥
@@Chaotic-JT That would be awesome. I'd go back someday anyways but an RMC would definitely attract people. Herschend has the money of course but it's just the matter of justifying spending money on this park instead of Dollywood, SDC, or KK
@@Wesley-76 yess ikr🔥 but rn there mostly updating there park by doing lots of new landscaping and new food places and more things like the animals I’m starting to see that’s where most of there money going into rn bc they have not started doing anything where the Cheetah roller coaster was so it’s probably going to take awhile But when ever u go back hopefully u see there finally doing something there and To get a better look u have to ride the safari train to see it bc the train takes u all back there
@@Chaotic-JT As long as they're making improvements. Some parks could use those small improvements (like SFOG) instead of another huge investment. I'd like to see more of what they're doing to Cheetah though because they took some track off it and I haven't heard anything since
There’s more too just search up wild adventures Cheetah roller coaster. Go on images scroll until you find the deconstruction pics
Sarah's singing voice. Wow!
Removing Cheetah was a terrible mistake for this park. Unless it gets a worthy replacement, then I see no use in visiting this park.
Where are the Zombies at
This is my home park. I used to go here as a kid with my family before the water park was a thing. Fun fact, the Twisted Typhoon used to be called "Hangman" and it was Red. They also used to have way more I guess you would say fair rides. I now bring my girls here they are 6 and 2. My 6 year old is almost tall enough for boomerang, her and I love roller coasters. Slowly waiting for her to get taller. Lol.
I thought that was the case! Hangman was actually the first roller coaster I ever got on. I used to love going here with my mom during the summers.
It’s a lot better during the week during school months. You can walk on everything and ride multiple times and be gone by 1pm when it really starts to heat up outside. Or hit the water park for the rest of the day. Wish they RMCed cheetah, that would’ve been sweet.
It's nice for a day trip with the kids. We're only 30 min away.
THE SPLASH PAD! I’m dead. Watch out for the kids
My school never had an amusement park field trip :(
Twisted Typhoon looks very nice even though it’s an slc
Did you miss the river ride? It has a rare surprise!
LOOKS HAVING FUN RIDE CASOTER 🎢🎢🎢🎢🎢🎢🎢🎢🎢🎢🎢
Y’all going to Six Flags over Georgia on this trip?
Luna Park has that same Mini Wild Mouse ride.
Lol this was a quirky vlog but looks like a nice and cozy amusement park. Frankly looks and in person probably feels more like a typical European amusement park of that scale than an American one. Like just watching the vlog it definitely had some European esque vibes.
Shame its lineup these days is fairly reduced compared to the past. Cheetah of course got scrapped after 2020 so I'd say the park needs something in its place. And frankly considering the lineup, I can't help but wonder what would be a better replacement other than another woodie. Like IDK I just have a hard time imagining something else... Maybe a Chance GTX similar to Lightning Run? IDK.
Yes
Ive actually been and i only went one 1 roller coaster and it was a ton of fun
This was my home park as a kid. You couldn’t tell me that this wasn’t better than Busch Gardens no matter how similar they are…. Until I finally went to a ‘real’ park such as universal after moving to Florida. And then just recently went to Busch gardens and rode Iron Gwazi lmao. Sorry Wild Adventures but you were fun as a kid, but not mad I haven’t been in almost 16yrs
Listen wild adventures is fun I have a gold pass and am going back in a week but after going there since I was 3 I have seen the closure of many rides including two of my favorite coasters there and I think jungle rumble is closing soon since I haven't seen it open since last season I'm just saying I agree its not bad and the water park is fun but they need to open more thrill rides and at least two more big coasters for the park to really be worth it.
How did i not know zombieland was filmed here? Meanwhile i watch the righteous gemstones season two and instantly google to confirm their riding swamp fox.
Zombieland the park holy crap so many references.
I kind of hate the treatment parks like this get from spoiled enthusiasts that are upset that not every park has an RMC or a B&M Hyper. It’s supposed be be a smaller family oriented park, so of course there won’t be any incredible intense coasters. Like you and Sarah said, the park seems like it makes up for its faults with its atmosphere
I was there the day y'all were I saw your friend with glasses he went on dranamo after me I saw he had a camera on so I didn't ask who he was
It was the southern hospitality that was the difference. Hopefully, they Herschend will RMC Cheetah
Yeah wild adventures Vekoma SLC is one of the better ones tho 🔥 and has the best colors for there slc
I never did an amusement park field trip during my school years I did have a summer program but all we did was the dumb iPlay America
I work there and I think that's me and a co worker in orange at 5:19
