  • A few videos ago, John dropped a new servo into his sonsTRX-4 and walked you through the process while talking specs. In this video you get to see that SHV650 servo in action. The place is the Holmes Hobbies backyard crawler course and this servo will be pushed through the limits. See how fast the SHV650 is, see how much turning power it has, see it get bound up in rocks. Will it overheat? Will it blow out? See for yourself in the video. Links below to find this servo for your rig!

My Crawlmaster 550 13T came in today for my 7 y/o son's TRX4 Sport. He wanted me to thank the "Home motor guy" as he said that his motor was the best because it's black and red, his favorite colors. I asked if he thought the start up was smooth, he said "Yep, I already told you it works good cause it's black and red."
I guess keep making those labels look good so the motors perform well. Kid logic :)

I'm so excited to put the SHV800 in my TRX high trail. I really like my local shop, but they suggested one with a whopping 300 oz/in (I didn't say I was expecting 3x that). I plan to have mine for a very long time, so I like the idea of a better electronic system just not working as hard. I like to learn enough to know who to take advice from, so thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Got mine mounted on an aluminum portal axle set up with a little over 50° .

can't wait to try my SHV650 in the Phoenix i'm building, it's also getting a BRXL and 13T Crawlmaster sport I had laying around. Hope that set up works out well on 4s. I had to laugh when you mentioned 333 oz. in. of torque cause two of my rigs from back in the 2009 era still have Hitec 7955TG servos in them.

I live in a hot weather area. This is a problem when using my RC’s with temps in the 90s & above. It definitely affects how long I use them but what I’ll do is bring 2 or 3 RC’s with me so I don’t spent to much time on one when in a session of crawling. Any tips for hot weather use & what items would you pick for electronics in the heat? Motor? ESC ? Servo?

They are fast, powerful and silent but I bought 3 of them and they are all glitching. The fix that was posted did not rectify the problem. Why aren’t you addressing this in the video? I really am looking forward to your people rectifying the problem because I agree with all of the good things that you said about the servo. I buy your stuff because it’s good and you have good customer service. I have 5 rigs and I have your stuff in all of them. This just lets the haters and rumors run rampant...

We've had some success with the fix, but some aren't helping. I didn't address it in the vid because at that time the fix was working for everyone. We are testing remaining stock and rebuild everything that does glitch

If your fine with brushed the trailmaster 21T does awesome. I burned up 3 traxxas stock motors in half a run or so each on 3s.
My 21T trailmaster has been through 20-30 runs on 3s 25C batteries with no failure. Absolutely love it.
