  • Spring flowers are popping up everywhere! In this video, I had to beat the lawn care guy before he got to my house to cut the grass. There are some pretty neat weeds popping up this Spring, and I'm harvesting them for some herbal tea.
BONUS - I use one of the flowers I harvested to make a Flower Essence remedy. See how easy it is and make your own flower essence remedy using flowers from your lawn or garden in this video:

CAUTION - Please don't harvest herbs that have been sprayed with herbicides or pesticides! ⚠️⚠️⚠️
    What I harvested today:
🌱 White clover is an anti-inflammatory and respiratory support herb. It can be used to support lung health when dealing with coughs and colds. It's also antimicrobial and used to fight infections and as a blood purifier.
🌱 Sweet violet flowers and leaves are also known to help with respiratory issues. Violets are used as an anti-inflammatory and are often used with other herbs for making tonics.
🌱 Purple dead nettle is full of Vitamin C and is known to help with seasonal allergies and wound healing. It too is an anti-inflammatory anti-fungal herb.
Drying herbs is fairly simple. Traditional ways to dry herbs include hanging them in bunches upside down - a quite attractive way to dry them - or spreading them on screens out in the sun. A more convenient way is in the oven on a very low setting or in a dehydrator.

Today, I used a dehydrator to dry the herbs I harvested.
