  • In Part 1 of this story, I beat the lawn care guy before he got to my house to cut the grass. Some pretty neat Spring flowers were popping up in my yard and I hustled out to harvest these HERBS to dehydrate to create a custom tea blend. You can watch part 1 here: • Herbal Wildcrafting: t...
Here in Part 2, I blend white clover, sweet violet, and purple dead nettle flowers, leaves, and stems to create an herbal tea with amazing properties I can use to support respiratory issues and fight spring allergy symptoms. BONUS - these herbs also help reduce inflammation.
Sweet Violet also makes a terrific Flower Essence Remedy. According to the Flower Essence Services, "people who need the Violet flower essence have many gifts that are often overlooked by others. Sensitive and highly perceptive, they hold back from contact with others for fear of being unrecognized or misunderstood."
Those who tend to need violet flower remedies often like to work alone and need time away from others to recharge their energy.

Please don't harvest herbs that have been sprayed with herbicides or pesticides! ⚠️⚠️⚠️
🌱 White clover is an anti-inflammatory and respiratory support herb. It can be used to support lung health when dealing with coughs and colds. It's also antimicrobial and used to fight infections and as a blood purifier.
🌱 Sweet violet flowers and leaves are also known to help with respiratory issues. Violets are used as an anti-inflammatory and are often used with other herbs for making tonics.
🌱 Purple dead nettle is full of Vitamin C and is known to help with seasonal allergies and wound healing. It too is an anti-inflammatory anti-fungal herb.

I have a ton of lemon balm growing, it has taken over a lot of space. To make tea or tinctures, how long do I need to let the leaves dry out before I can make something with them?
