Coming from an American truck driver, I am amazed at how efficiently laid out everything is! These trucks must be much bigger than they look! I wasn't expecting the second bunk, and then you showed the coffee maker AND Microwave and I was honestly surprised. Holy crap! 760 HP!!!!!I love the sound of the Scania's and they way they look too! Love watching these cab-overs go down the road. Wish we could get them here in the states! Great video, you got yourself a new Subscriber!
U would be impressed with the height of one of these S cabs, they are huge!!

@@optify9971well actually Scania & Volvo uses kW in rating their engines. The Scania DC16 123, the engine in question producing 566 kW of power @ 1900 rpm. And that's equal to 759 BHP or 769 Metric Horsepower (PS).
and 3,700 Nm = 2729 lbf.ft
being from the usa i like the style of these trucks

The sound is awesome, angry but modern at the same time. Love it!
They sound good but you can’t beat them old American Kenworths and Peterbilt’s with the two stroke engines🙏🏼
If both Scania and Volvo continues to add power to their engines,it won't take long to have 1000 hp engines with very high torque numbers.
They don’t already? I am pretty sure some operators some where are running 1,000+ hp diesels in their truck in some sort of application. Because there are 1,000 + hp diesels running in marine and stationary applications.

It’s amazing how trucks have come along over the years, i passed my test in a Ford Transcontinental then drove a Mercedes Benz 1628 non turbo V8, high rev engines and ZF 18 speed range changer over splitter gear box and no limiter lol I loved that truck ( it was my first job driving ) seven years of tramping i did with her and was sorry to see it go. 👌👌👌
From memory the 2228 had same or similar engine. 256hp

I think cabovers would work well for you guys, and it would give you more sleeper space with less wheelbase

The sound is awesome. And it feels to me like the shifting process is very short , what is nice to not lose speed on climbing hills
Scania gearboxes are insanely fast for some reason.
I wish we can purchase Scania here in the U.S.A my grandfather had a torpedo nose Scania early 80's

Found that Neutral feature in a 600 Volvo Globetrotter about 6 years ago. Driving in economy mode going down Mingela Range Australia, with 3 trailer Roadtrain. No place to learn. It just took off. Was ok when I learned more about it but had my attention for sure at the time. Stavros, you do a good presentation mate. Like they way you just say it as it is without any bullshit and show all the little features a truck driver would actually use and how they work, like that little security latch for the door. Plenty of remote locations in Australia to use something like that. That is one hell of a torque figure. Will be looking to see how those go in the Road Train market.
SO compact compared to our N.A. rigs haha
some of the features I would love to see would be that ladder, folding table and that door security. although that rear camera would be great to have too

The best thing about the V8, it doesn't matter the load it still pulls, sadly i haven't had the luck to drive a fully loaded truck and trailer with V8

Was talking to the man on Thursday on the eurotunnel that’s done the first trip in this and the fuel figures were impressive.

Hey Stavros, I’ve heard that you had some problems with the right ear and frostbites after testing the 770S! I know it’s tempting to lower the side window to hear the V8 purring, but that’s the only drawback of the Scania 770S. 😇🤣

They select the right gear or "shut" the engine down hill. Excellent
They don't always have the right gear. Only an experienced driver can best judge which gear to choose for the given situation and terrain. The automatic gearbox is to help the man in this profession but it is not perfect.
Aways saw the Scania trucks in Europe when I was stationed in Germany. Great video tour of the truck. Also saw the Tesla video prior tot his one. It was funny.

All the new Scanias are fantastic to drive , even the wee 18 tonners , but that V8 is an absolute peach.
