Ok, you said it. I'm your dad's age or even older so that's why I liked it 😁, no, jokes aside, it's a "bodypartslitfest" (sorry, not a native english speaker so didn't come up with a better word). Just like Final Destination movies were, kinda similar, million ways to die. It's still not a very good movie but still entertaining for one session. Wouldn't want to see it again.

Доброго времени суток.Республика Карелия. Как можно смотреть фильм не зная истории. В 1939 году СССР напала на маленькую страну Суоми или Финляндию это как хотите и сути не меняет. Население самой Финляндии на то время не превышало население города Ленинград. И эта маленькая страна дала отпор врагам потеряв малое количество своего народа. И в этой войне и появилась легенда про кощея бессмертного. Есть конечно в этом фильме и неправда и фантастика но суть мысли не меняет.

Shouldn't you know something about history before you watch a historical film?
Isn't the point of watching a historical film or reading a historical book a way of learning about history? All though seeing the film is a work of fiction with some elements based on events I see your point. BUT director, Helander, has since come out to say that the movie is inspired by the first RAMBO movie. Furthermore, he told Ilta-Sanomat, that a real Finnish sniper, called Simo Häyhä, who was notoriously known as “The White Death,” inspired Aatami’s character. When learning about WWII in school they left out about the Finnish people and what they did sadly. We only learnt about the English, Americans, Germans, French, Japanese and Russia. Maybe if the education system in the UK was better, you would have enjoyed our first time watch of a piece of entertainment more.
