Grate reaction as always. This movie made me very unsettled and I have only seen it once then never again. The videos of what the children did to their families is mostly the reason for that. The rest of the movie was scary towards the middle and end but not that much. I do like that they do not show the big bad as it were until the middle and the end and only hints of him because to me that makes it more scary because then the mind fills in the blanks of what could have happened..like they did in the first Conjuring movie basically. I actually liked the second one a bit more than this one because I like the main actress and no it's not exactly like this one it has simillure patterns of course but it also does some things that this one didn't and if I remember correctly it's not as dark as well..but it's been a while since I saw them both so not sure about that. This director also did the movie The Black Phone and like this that movie does have it's slow moments but also the jump scares as well and it is also a movie I enjoyed. This one was the first time I saw Ethan Halk in anything if I remember correctly and he also plays the main bad guy in the movie The black Phone so that was interesting. I agree that this one can be a bit dull in some parts and takes it's time and that the actors didn't really have much cemestrey as a couple but it sort of works because she is distant from him because of how he always takes them to crime scenes for his books and she doesn't like that fact and even more so when she finds out the house they are living in is a crime scene so to me it made sense that they were not exactly a loving couple as it were. I also like Oggy Boogy he is creepy in the way he looks and the fact that he doesn't speak makes it more scary to me as well. I do agree though the Conjuring movie was better than this one and scarier as well.

I haven't seen this one. Looks like it relies quite heavily on jump scares, which I find a bit cheap & boring. Have you two seen When Evil Lurks? It's one of the best horror movies I've seen in a while.

I love the sinister movies ❤❤ definitely a modern favorite of mine so hard to find a good one these days Last night i watched "the seeding" it was so painfully dull And tonight i watched "the first omen" it was also painfully dull and coincidentally both showed peoples nether regions in graphic detail unnecessarily im no prude but i also dont wanna be subjected to a woman giving birth or a man urinating if it does lil to progress the plot
