    I’m a drone flyer (GVC qualified). My first time seeing you guys and I think the drone flyer had a bit of a confrontational tone. The officer has the right to ask you to land the drone, whether you are flying legally or otherwise.

      My thoughts exactly. This video was solely to provoke a confrontation. Basically reverse entrapment. Yes the cop was wrong in not really knowing the laws for drones.
      But he was baited into the confrontation.

    • @mal6232
      @mal6232 Před rokem +5

      ..and the drone flyer has the right to refuse that request. IF the officer has a legitimate belief the flyer has committed an offence then the 'right' changes. It is also an ACTUAL offence to disturb a drone flyer whilst in control of an airborne UAV. The flyers were perfectly correct, the officer has the right to ASK for them to land the drone......NOT demand it because it fits in with the officers timescale.

      Applicants to the Police force will be rejected if their IQ is too high. Someone even sued the Police for being rejected based on their IQ being too high. You need to bear this in mind when engaging with the Police, i.e., they were accepted because they were deemed as being not too bright.

Swat teams are designed and defined military-style arms team to function only in "extraordinary circumstances", such as those involving hostages, hijackers, and suspects who have barricaded themselves.The widespread misuse of SWAT teams has been criticized as the militarization of civilian law enforcement. Critics note that SWAT teams are now used in routine police matters and that the paramilitary approach adopted by the SWAT teams is not appropriate for enforcement of minor everyday police circumstance. Today's most common use of SWAT teams is to assist law enforcement institutions in serving arrest warrants when the subject of the warrant is considered dangerous and high risk - not for everyday misdemeanors or retaliation for contempt of cop fallacies. We never authorised police to dress and act indiscernible from occupied combat soldiers, licensed to act without restraint to impose martial law and suspend habeas corpus. Let's hear your definition of a budding police state - if not SWAT.

    You have to admit, the CAA document is badly formatted. I left some "feedback" telling them so. It begins by laying out the drone laws for the heavier drones. So police naturally believe that those laws apply everywhere because it does not say otherwise. A few paragraphs down it contradicts itself with some paragraphs for sub 250g drones. It's a bad format.

    The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) takes drone safety seriously. Interrupting an operator could be considered reckless endangerment, punishable by fines or even imprisonment.
