same problem with visor not locking down snug. The clear protrusions on the inside of the visor on either side do not want to go down over the black plastic ledges on each side. I researched the issue and posted in a forum. One fellow said he took a fingernail file and lightly filed the clear plastic protrusions and that fixed it. So much for the grand German engineering. My Shoei Neotec 2 arrives in a couple days.
I finally fixed the visor closing too easily problem. We need to convince the German engineers it was their idea, then they will love it! :D It is frustrating that a premium helmet needs tinkered with to make usable.
I have a C5 and a C4 Pro and never had an issue with the C4. I can confirm every single issue about the C5 in your video. If anything drive me nuts is the complete closure of the main visor (or the lack thereof). I started disliking the C5 since I rode one day in the rain and the visor wasn't completely closing, allowing for rain to enter the helmet. The only available option was opening and closing the visor (in full rain) to finally get it closed as it should. Never mind the whistling sound on a dry day... Completely unacceptable from Schuberth as a premium helmet manufacturer.
I just bought a C5 a couple weeks ago, this week I rode in the rain and also the rain comes inside like crazy. Also the pinlock doesn't work like it should be. Never had this problems with my other helmets (hjc)
I had a E1 Cut (with no issues) before getting the new E2 last summer - this has been annoying me since day one - cannot wait to try it! Thank you very much
The lock is to pass ECE. The owner's manual says do not ride with the chin-bar up. I have a new C5 and do not have a faceshield/visor problem, so clearly the recognized the problem and fixed it in production.
Thank you for this - I've had the same problems and since I didn't test the helmet much before a long trip there was quite a bit of annoyance. I think in addition that the "premium speakers" of the SC2 system just sound like what they are - small speakers far away. I will try your tip, and also another tip I found to make the "grip" on the visor a bit tighter : czcams.com/video/_RTyTagBQgc/video.html I agree that such an expensive helmet really should not have defects like these!
I don't feel like doing this to $850 helmet, not to mention, if dust gets on it... and I do use it for offroading... Good solution for the "Starbucks" riders, though... :)
dremel tool, plastic wheel. Low speed - need to be carefull, you need to take off just a bit, like a half a mm, go little by little until it is just enough... these are the small pins on the visor itself.
Да офигеть... Шлемак за штуку зелёных надо колхозить и допиливать на коленке, что бы он хоть как то работал.😮 Да и то косяки остались ю. Нет, я лучше уж с Shoei буду ездить.

Thanks for the video. Fixed mine no problem. You gave me the confidence to take a dremmel to my visor. Top man. Thanks again

Well, you saved my life, this shit finally shut up. Thanks man. I used a nail file

Always wait for the Pro versions.
I had the same problem I just put silicone lube on the locking points which also worked

You can use a dry lube I ride everyday all year round I have only had to do it once
Well... i fixed it permanently. No need for that hassle. I only hope Schuberth does the same...
With what tools do you shave the visor?
