- I grind out all the money I possibly can simply so I can buy as many upgrades as possible. This simply leads to me making more money than before and then I can buy even more upgrades. I just repeat this again and again until satisfied, which is never apparently.

At that point money basically makes itself. Problem is becoming a billionaire in the first place 🤔 But from there it’s easy to make more money from not doing much at all.

Just a warning this game gets really stuck about the time you get gloves.
Just got there, it is such a big jump in price
Yea, i time skipped when that happened
Ya, it feels so wrong that it abruptly stops at gloves, and you won't get a new upgrade till way later
To give you a reference, gloves cost 60 septillion to get (10 sep for unlocking it, and 50 sep for the first level)
Meanwhile next equipment, the cape, costs a whooping 1.001 DUODECILLION (1 duodecillion* for unlocking it, 1 undecillion to buy first level)
That's 16683333333.3 times the cost, or around 16.68 BILLION times the cost.
I feel like the gap is just too large and makes you rely on your slayer points to make it over, which takes way longer than it should
Would be nice if there was a piece in between, heck even something like pants in the nonillions/decillion would be way better than what we have rn

I just can't believe how entertaining idle games are when you have a guy slowly loosing his sanity
Whenever you are going against the giants, if you click you can do more damage and destroy them quicker
I hated that he didn't buy the upgrade to spawn the Giants and then wondered why he didn't get souls.
@@Lullloser They only appear when in the "Hills" area, not anywhere else so that upgrade would be moot everywhere else.
Would progress towards the mass buy upgrade achievement though. And those achievement percentages really stack once you get past 100 of them.
Also yes, I blame DF for getting me in on this.
@@jeffreyhoon i imagine the Other-golem upgrades require that you buy them in order? So he should still spend 0.000000000001% of his massive wealth to get the 1st one (even though it is a moot point, it'd still be a stepping stone towards the others.... and adds 1 to the upgrade-achievement%.)

Hey DF. Long time watcher, first time commenting.
With this game, the first unlock for all weapons is at level 10 than every 50th level there after unlocks something else. It's always best to level everything up as high as possible, in groups of 50, as there are tons of little things and achievements unlocked that really boost your CpS and such.

As of today I've been playing this game for 121 days. I'm at 378k coins picked up, 1.53m enemies slayed, 2.07m slayer points earned, among other ridiculous numbers. Highest coin amount was at 6e36. Keep up the great content DF!

Hey df, upgrading your clothes in idle slayer unlocks magnet upgrades which make it so eventually you'll only have to jump to collect the coins at the very very top due to them just magnetising to you.

Getting levels in the sword unlocks upgrades that increase souls/kill and other items can also unlock upgrades like better magnet

thank you for getting me addicted to another game. for that I have to give you a game to play that I found addictive for you to play lol I haven't really seen people play it so much on CZcams but the dev is updating the game every 2 weeks. His also been getting peoples ideas of what they want to see in the game which is nice to see from a game dev. Its called Green Project. Its on steam and on the play store. It's not expensive either. I would love to see you play it if you have the time also would be nice to see the dev get recognition for the time his putting in developing the game and communicating with the players as well. Oh boy, more great content! (and making $70,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 on the side)
Maxing your equipment is very useful for 3 reasons. Occasionally you get an equipment bonus for a random piece of equipment. It locks your bonus at the level that piece was at as it is triggered, meaning upgrading it while it's active does nothing to increase the benefits of that bonus.
And secondly. Later in the game some of your equipment, such as the bow, will be used as a weapon. I'm pretty sure having it upgraded increases it's damage, though I haven't gotten to this point yet to confirm my theory.
And Thirdly, upgrading the equipment unlocks achievements. Several upgrades and ascension upgrades are more beneficial the more achievements are unlocked.
I even went through the achievement list and did the weird ones like the super high jump and have a coin chase me for 10 seconds, for the little bit of extra buff those achievements will add.
this guy sounds soooooooooooooooooooo calm 99% percent of the time, if you want to head something calm, this guy can help whit his calm voice and his good gameplay

Played the game after watched his first video. It's a fun game unless you're in a hurry. There are some slow spot in the game and it feels like not progressing, especially early game. Some tips, get the big soul boost upgrades as soon as you have enough slayers point. Then aim for extra cps per achievement, i think it cost 800. Then aim for boost upgrades, double coins/souls while using boost, reduce cd by 2% for each coin. That should get you out of early game. Also after you use the portal, you would want to use it again until you're back to hill map, the giant gives a lot of soul.
Hey df when you fight the bosses example:stone guy, click or Do whatever you do and you'll kill it faster
This brings me nostalgic memories of Pixel Kingdom by Kongregate. I’m not sure why but it just does.

If you upgrade the armor peices, eventually you get coin magnet upgrades and range upgrades for the magnet
Also its a good idea to upgrade everything as much as you can cause they all add up
I never knew how much I needed DF to play clicker games.
If you find for example souls multiplier and purple box, time on multiplier will stop, BUT it still works, so as long as you can progress in bonus world you will be always getting plenty of souls
The most important part of upgrading your weapons is the achievements. Many of your bonuses are based around % boost of cps per amount of achievements unlocked. So more achievements equals bigger boost overall. Other than that they really don't do much as far as your overall cps...

3:25 this spooked me and caused me to make sure no-one was playing on my xbox
Seeing DF spend a crap ton of time rising numbers kinda makes me want to see him play Disgaea, I can just imagine him grinding to lvl 9999 to reset to lvl 1 to get the prestige bonus to his stats and back to lvl 9999 over and over again just to see how much damage he can do in one hit.
This game is a longer idle game then normal... so skip time! Change the date on your pc and you get 72 hours worth of coins if you skip 3 days. (You might have to reload the game)
Most important slayer bonuses are:
Soul reaper and soul reaper 2
They increase the amount of souls you gather by 1,25% for each slayer point you have gathered. (Both bonuses combined) My Soul reaper 1 and 2 are up to nearly 10 million % and highest amount of slayer points I have gathered in one run is 3 million. I have noticed that amount of souls you get decreases more you change the date.
Next most important are
Sword edge, dagger edge and axe edge. (Sword edge being a top priority. You can have higher levels of it quicker then the other 2)
Also unlock the portal as fast as possible. If you are planning to use the time skipping strategy, use the portal to go to “Modern city”. That’ll give you the highest amount of souls when you are skipping time. When you get to it unlock mystic valley, and stay there instead of the modern city it gives a bit more. And when you get to it unlock Factory, it gives lot more.
Oh, minions are fucking useless! Use them only for Divinities.
Don’t worry! Even by cheating I couldn’t get to the next upgrade!!! It sucks!
Hey df here are some tips to help you play better!
1. Always purchase all upgrades that increase the amounts of souls you gain, the soul grind is painful.
2. Purchase lower level equipment ALWAYS, that 16% cps boost you got... could easily become a 1600% boost!
3. Different portal areas have different monsters and different soul amounts!
4.purchase all upgrades, even small ones help.
Hopefully he sees this, it will make him better at the game.

If you upgrade the other tools you also unlock other upgrades. Like some for the magnet

This game does encourage you to keep ascending to get a higher CpS bonus, so you do end up getting up to gloves and other things faster.
Eventually, I've yet to make my first ultra ascension, but I'm pretty close.
After u get the necklase u need to get 60 sp gold 50 for an upgrade that unlocks gloves and then 10 sp for u to get those gloves at lvl1 and i tell u there op i also have played this game alot

You start getting other upgrades by leveling your equipment. It's never a huge impact but it unlocks some useful upgrades and achievements that power other upgrades at the sp level costs.
