Mole National Park, in particular, is home to roughly 90 different mammal species, over 300 species of bird, and over 30 species of reptile. The park is also culturally significant, as it’s home to Ghana’s oldest mosque.
We’re exploring all of that, as well as nearby Tamale, a city known for its vibrant food scene and rich cultural scene.
I’m taking you into rural villages and exploring local tanneries and markets, and we’re diving into local favorites like waakye and fufu along the way. So come with me as I take you on an unforgettable trip through northern Ghana!

The "uh huh" after a bite of food tickles me!!! Get it, David!!!
Ghana series was amazing . All packed in a Documentary is great! Another great place to visit for sure :) ♥
I watch this whole video so, Nice thank you
Loving Ghana, on my bucket list for West Africa visit.
Fantastic work, David. It's not easy going North of Ghana with that heat! You're officially a Ghanaian😂
yes he is!
What’s not easy? Is the north of Ghana hotter than Death Valley? Which is famous as the hottest place on earth and driest place in North America. The world record highest air temperature of 134°F (57°C) was recorded at Furnace Creek on July 10, 1913... bro, the north Ghana is not the hottest place on earth, so enough people of the stereotype, because the entire Ghana is hot as well!!!!
The heat in Tamale can be compared to the heat in Europe during the summer. Let us stop passing such comments, it discourages people from visiting. I think every southerner and people all over the world should make it a point to visit Tamale when they get the opportunity 👍.
@@kofisam4106 many people are ignorant of so many fact, they are still in the past. They don't make good use of the Internet. They don't know some regions in America are hot all year round just like in Africa.

THANK. YOU. SHARE LOVE. 🌿🥰🌿🌿🌿🌿🥰
Hello David. A very good Monday afternoon to you. I am really enjoying this Ghana series. I will pass on talking about the food since you were the one who ate it and could tell the difference. I will say, though, that you finally got some healthy food at Zaina. It looked so delicious. What a change from all the street foods you had eaten before and what a beautiful place. If the lodgings were all tents with one hard wall, I hope no one tried leaning on it. Can you imagine people falling out?😱😲🤣🤣🤣. Glad you got to see the animals before leaving. I loved seeing all the beautiful arts and crafts and the way everything was done manually. I wish you had gotten some of the shea (pronounced shay) butter, but it would have been difficult to travel with it. I have never seen a mosque like that before: very unique indeed. So as you leave for your next destination, I am anxious to see what's in store. Good job 🙏😇🤗🇹🇹🇨🇦
Hi Judy ...This Ghana series has so much to see and learn about ..some things I never knew,, glad I viewed ///have a blessed day ...and stay safe.
@@Manlkiwaa hi Shabana and Hailey. Yes girl, it's very interesting and to see how things are made without modern technology. I really don't know how and where David finds the energy, especially when he walks so much and goes on all those long drives. I told him before that he needs to wear wide-toed shoes because the narrow-fitted ones are doing damage to his toes. Oh well!!! Anyway, I am really enjoying this one and can't wait to see the next one. Today is the first day of spring but we usually still get snow, so we are waiting for it. Have a good evening and take care.🙏💕
Real food no GMOs too! I want move to Africa one day!
I will be going with you on your next trip
Good for you David! Interesting foods.. I love fufu but will only eat it with Jamaican curry chicken. You are awesome dude 😍
The fufu there’s too types, the Nigerian fufu is different from Ghana fufu, Ghana fufu is made with cassava and Nigerian fufu is with yams. I think the curry will go with yams
@@ofonipa5706 the yam fufu is not Nigerian fufu!! The northerners prefer yam fufu because yam is staple food in the north!
@@kofisam4106 oh ok
I have actually had plantain fufu with jamaican curry chicken and it was really nice.
@@carolineaciro2079 was it really ?? Now I have to go looking to plantain fufu. Plantain is already amazing green or ripe ( as we say in Jamaica) .. very interesting
Thank you always David for your amazing travels n sharing them.Always very enjoyable to see ❤❤😂.
All in their natural settings no caged

What kind of food do they have?
GREETINS
greetings to you too Juliet!
I didn’t realize that you went to Ghana already. I was suggesting that would be an option not knowing it was already done. My bad.😊
When you tasted the millet, I waited to hear how you describe it. You got the taste right. You say it as it is. But David, seems you were in Ghana to eat 😂. I am happy you had fun. When are you visiting Nigeria?
I am trying to do Nigeria soon! I tried Nigerian food for the first time the other day. Video coming soon and if that video does a million views I go to Nigeria soon!
In Northern Uganda, East Africa we have millet porridge with tamarind and honey , lovely taste.
We also eat the millet with stews , legumes and dry leafy vegetables with groundnut and sesame paste.
Please visit the source of the River Nile and the Murchison Falls National Park in North Western Uganda. President Roosevelt spent a few months there. Most recently Kim and Kanye visited. Am sure you will love it too.

If your were with big five you don't get out the vehicle...😅
Hey David I'm an avid viewer of your videos from guyana; I even ask Stacy from visit guyana about you after you left however your comment at the 14:50 point of the video was inappropriate and disrespectful I'm disappointed with your choice of words. Please be mindful of your comments pls...
Hi there Laurel and thank you for your support. Respectfully, I meant Baboons as in Literal Baboons in the National Park. I'm confused genuinely what you considered inappropriate or disrespectful?? I was referring to literal baboons because they live in the Mole National Park and Shai Hills of Ghana. Hope that clears things up because I definitely did not mean it the way you are insinuating. Have a great evening.
@@Davidsbeenhere hmm so you're saying your guide is literally friends with the baboons in the nation park?? Okay anyways like I said just be mindful of your comments so as it wouldn't get misunderstood, I think you're a great person and I would love to meet you some day too... be safe in your travels...👍
Thank you for watching out. However I think the comment is fairly clear to be honest. I feel like you might just be overanalyzing it a bit too much. I'm saying the guide bought some bread and people often bring food into places to "feed" the animals. I've done it in South Africa and seen it done in many places. Baboons are also specifically found in this particular National Park. He was taking me on a game and National Park Tour so I jokingly asked him if its for the baboons. Simple as that. That said I try to be sensitive to all perspective and so I do appreciate you letting me know and sharing your concern. Wishing you peace and blessings and never hesitate to let me know if you see something that concerns you. I am very open to dialogue and I'd never want to offend anybody!

@@Davidsbeenhere bro i just want to say that its great experience ever and trust me you will definately love Nepal and cultures as well..its not about someone who did then you can't..its the rare experience that everyone wants to know and you will definately love the travels experience as well..we just need to welcome as explore the doc movies series..😊😊😊
Someone from outside Ghana has coming to Ghana Show us what we have in Ghana we Ghanaians we are sick in the head we don’t know what we have we are funny people
Looks sumptuous.
I would put my Roti in a Walmart plastic bag and clap it. What you think.🤪
Coco Burrer is oily and I don't know of any butter without oil. Do you? If you do, it's not butter, but something else. Also please hold back on some of the jokes like telling the tour guide his friends are monkeys in the National park. That wasn't funny. I know you meant no offence.
TOO MUCH TRAFFIC WATCHING !
