New Zealander here! I used to buy k bars and just suck on them throughout the day when i was at school 😇 Try the pineapple lumps in the freezer next time! They’re amazing!
ETA is pronounced like "eat a...", also K-Bars are best when they've warmed up a little from being in your pocket or something imo i remember eating them at school in the 80's. Whittakers is the best chocolate in the world - probably needed to eat more than a bite sized chunk.

They should have sent you the raspberry kbars so good... you can work over the kbars the do soften reasonably quick.. a perky nana as in banana would have gone down well I think.

Thats probably the first time Ive ever seen a K bar properly unwrapped 😂 Used to get them all the time and struggle with the wrapper, bar would melt in the shop then harden up again so the paper would always get stuck to the candy 😂

7:22 tomato and tomato sauce flavoured chips was a trial , they are not very popular but for some reason they still make them, they popped up around 1990 , cheese and onion muncho's are the best ones, also big un's are a good chip, or ETA thick cut chips

I love these snack crates. This one looks like a good one. I have seen some that almost nothing in the crate was good at all but then again they were kid reviewers and like you said unless they are pure sugar like gummies or marshmallows many kids don't like it. Nice review guys, there are some thing in there we will have to try. Thumbs up 11

Hi noodle fam. I'm from nz and can give u the low down. Moro bars came normal how you had them, they also came with fruit and nut and peanut these were very good. Munches have about 5 diffrent flavors. K bars were either rock hard which u would suck like a lollipop or if u were lycy they were soft in the box and u could chew them easily.
It's Eta as in eat-ah. Great video, btw

Pineapple lumps are so good straight out of the fridge so they are hard or blown in the microwave so they are supper gooey
Um with k bars it depends on how old it is. Often you’ll buy one at a dairy that’s been there a while and it’s soft 😔that’s a sad day, but if it’s hard then you just suck it but often the paper sticks to it so you have to eat the paper too.
I don't know if any other New Zealanders pointed this out but, we pronounce it 'Eat-a' Chips, not E.T.A. glad to see we own chicken flavored chips😁😁

Everyone gives pineapple lumps a 10😂 growing up in NZ as a kid we lived for pineapple lumps and k bars 😆
You bite the k bars I remember as a kid getting these at the dariy
K bars were supposed to last long eating just like the pixie caramel. K bars have always been one of our cheapest hard chewing bars. Eat/chew or suck soft or hard yum
I remember in the 80's the NZ chicken chips came in a green bag, oh and Macey's Empire Bars were the best!, sugar frosted caramel fudge, they still make them, and remember Twisties were totally random sizes back in the 70's
You freeze the Buzz bars or deep fry them! it goes off either way, if you wanted a Kiwi Bar with nutz try a Picnic bar.👍

For the K bars hold them in your hand for a couple of mins it will soften

K bars are best when soft. Most hard chewy lollies is best soften on some low heat. Even in the sun for afew minutes

i remember walking to school and buying the k -bars on the way. they were 10 cents at that time, the way I eat them was to break the end off with my teeth then suck on it. and eta is a word not e.t.a

I'm a kiwi and the K bars there are two types of people, some people suck on them the others bite them.
If you hold the k-bar for 20 minutes in your hand while watching a movie it goes soft
Lovely family. Happy kids. Mom and Dad, you guys are a blast. The NZ snack box (in my opinion), isn't really indicative of what is traditionally popular and available here. The ones the snack box got "right" (in terms of true "kiwi" snacks) were: Pineapple lumps, k-bars, milkshakes, peanut slab, moro and pixie caramel. The other stuff not really typically kiwi. If i was going to make an NZ snack crate i would probably only include pineapple lumps and peanut slab from that list. Bit of a shame because were that box loaded with our best snacks your minds would be blown and your tastebuds would be in heaven. Snack nirvana is best described in two words: Tim Tams.
