not so much the skill in slight of hand but actually controlling fruit loops is what amazes me most. One can learn the ambitious card, no problem! But to be so calm and collected whilst your audience basically tries to snatch the ambitious card out of your hand every single second of the performance is absolutely magnificant! Kon Jill the first part is him saying he puts the card on the middle but he is putting it second from the top. Then lifts 2 cards as 1 so you as the spectator see your card when in fact there is another card on top. Then when he puts the card in the middle because it is second it is now on top. Thats the first trick

Because he only says it for that part. He should've stayed consistant.
ghytgb he only said it because Fruit Loops was going to ruin the trick. He was going to pick up the top card but David needed a double lift at that point. So to get him to stop, he moved his hand away and said “that’s the move” to have an excuse for doing it himself instead of Fruit Loops.
Joseph Petro he had to add to the trick because the guy tried to pick the top card while it wasn’t on top he didn’t get a chance for his switch when he bounces hi hand up there’s a slight of had bottom to top. Dude almost ruined the trick but he could show that. Watch carefully.

I did the bent card to the top of the deck, for a bunch of grade school kids on a Ferry boat, they went Nuts. My slight of hand works better with that age group. Its a lot tougher to do the lifts with adults watching, that's why David is so awesome, and all that talking and misdirection is part of it.

He takes the double lift to an art form. I'm a rank amateur, and kind of know how it's done. But his patter and skill with the cards and his audience is incredible.
How does he do the part with the bent card though? I understand the rest can be slight of hand but that shits impressive 😂

It really is an art form and with most magic, it's about the patter and how you hold yourself as a person than the sleights and tricks. The bent card is part of most ACR these days and can very easily be done.
Still my favorite one to watch. Love this routine. 💘

Wouldn't have mattered...actually it might have made it better to be honest. His card was the second card so had he picked up the first it would have been wrong then Blaine could have used his "that's the move" line and continued with the double lift and they would have been all the more impressed.
