SuWoopSparrow bros it was just a speculation and a praise of David Blaine. yes it is profitable but it’s still a niche industry and there’s not even enough magicians to go around. (In terms of live performances) I bet you I know more about magic than you. David Blaine even said most parents would say to their kids practicing magic “as a silly thing, I don’t wanna see it” but his mother supported what he does that’s why he became the best at it. My idea of it as a “dying art form” comes from the book ‘Magic is dead’ by Ian Frisch and many books. I bet you you haven’t read it. Most magicians would agree there’s negative stereotypes about magicians that is outdated and might be killing the art form. So unless you’ve actually read books on magic your opinion doesn’t actually matter 👉

Being niche and someone releasing a book "Magic is Dead" doesnt mean that magic is dead. Its always been niche. It hasnt become more niche over time and it certainly hasnt gotten less creative. There are like 4 or 5 major magic shows in Vegas alone. Many of these magicians are multi millionaires. So honestly, in what way is it dead unless it was never alive to begin with?
