The reason I continuously tune in to your channel is because you’re so thorough. Many of us who lay claim to our heritage and are referred to as “Pro-Black” or Black Nationalist makes the same errors that those who oppose us do by jumping on the first thing that supports our theories or claim and recite it as gospel truth. Like my relatives who pledge allegiance to the Bible have never read anything other than the Bible. However what I see in your work is the opposite as you’ll put “wants” aside and simply seek all the info on the topic. By the direction this video was moving I assumed your conclusion for the name would be a non-Afrikan source. The voice in my head is screaming Pro. van Sertima’s teaching that Afruika was shown to used in Kemet. Then you brought it home in conclusion. Guess that’s why you’re the Home Team. Lol. Peace. Great video, gave me something to study. I mainly follow the teaching of Dr. Ben and Dr. John Henrik Clark. And their teacher is guy from Ethiopia. I can't think of his name off the top of my head. Anyway, Dr. Ben and Clark say that Africa has many names through the years. Like Aelkbu-lan, Kush, and Ethiopia. The Greeks called the Africans Ethiopian and called the Atlantic Ocean the Ethiopian Sea. Dr. Ben and Dr. Clark said that Aelkbu-lan was the ancient word used by today's countries Chad, Niger, and Congo. Meaning garden of Eden like you mention. The name Kush came from Nubia. Who predate the Kemtic's. But, I'm a firm believer that Aelkbu-lan is the most ancient name for Africa. But, as long we are discovering and recover our history we can't go wrong.

I'm South African and I'm sure Afrika was called many things throughout history of the continent by different regions. Egyptian name became the popular name because of Egypt's civilization and how advanced they were, its place in history and power it had. In Southern Africa (Mzantsi Afrika) we did not have consolidated civilizations that were powerful until later on so we probably did not have name for it other than to describe it as the land of our people (as a collective and not as individuals). We refer to ourselves as the children of the soil. I'm for name change actually.

@minxy you have to consider that the people on the continent have been keeping records long before the Europeans. We know this through ancient Nubian and Kushite text. The problem came when Europeans burned the libraries and ancient historical sites through out the continent . Iraq was a good example when you U.S. began bombing the libraries there under the guise terrorist hide outs. The only difference is that some of the traditions of the continent called Africa are kept coded oral transitions. What I'm saying is Indicative of what also happened to Native Americans and West Indians. Europeans came and tried to destroy the historical traditions and rewrite them in a more appetizing way for the genocides to be accepted

I did some research on the Roman general name Scipio Africanus. According to the Roman historians, the general's real name was Publius Cornelius Scipio.
Scipio Africanus was a nickname that the Romans gave him after his War Conquest in Africa over Hannibal the Great. The historians also mentioned that this nickname would mean Scipio of Africa which would mean the general was from Africa, which he was not. The word Scipio Africanus is derived from the name of Africa. The continent of Africa name is not derived from Scipio Africanus.
It also mentions that the word Africa was derived from the Latin word Aprica which means sunny. The historian literature never mention one time that the name Africa was derived from Scipio Africanus the Roman general.
The information also mentioned that there were 9 theories on how Africa got its name. The most profound Theory and convincing is that the name Africa was directly derived from the indigenous people of Egypt. The word for Africa in Egyptian hieroglyphs is Khafre. This word translates to Afre-Kh.
I appreciate the video and new Enlightenment. However I'm a person that will do my own research, especially on a subject that is directly connected to my heritage. For my own logical reason I will go with the Egyptian name.
I will never believe that people from other cultures named Africa except the indigenous people of Africa. People will do anything to take you out of your comfort zone even try to mess with your head regarding your own history. I'm not the type that people can brainwash. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Alot of facts of our colorful history is sadly BN hidden stolen and kept away out of reach and eyesight not to mention horribly distorted. And with that being said, there's no mention of the powerful Queens in the motherland who too had conquered or claim territories and land as theirs and Kings and soldier men had to retreat if not bow before the ever powerful and highly strategic Queen/s who stood waiting for a battle to protect what was theirs👍👑👸🏾😊 peace and love Kings and Queens

I think to substantiate your claim there would have to be some hieroglyphic text that relates to the transliteration you are proposing. On a more mythological note, the whole Earth is referred to as the divinity Geb. Geographic location is extremely important for operating within time and space so I'm not negating it's importance, however the goal is to transcend time and space. It would also be logical to think that those who want to carve out a map for geopolitical reasons would name it according to their own liking and benefit and using a language they understand. Life is so complex. It's a very good job you're doing!

Arabic is an African language Bro. East African/North east African to be exact. It's a semetic language along with other African languages considered to be semetic and Afro-Asiatic. This is because those people migrated back and forth between Africa mainland and Saudi Arabia/middle east which still sits on the African tectonic plate. Making those areas still African.

This is the language written all the the great pyramids of Giza, but it's ALSO the land that giants (Sons of Anak) lived in, where the original Hebrews became regular inhabitants. Alkebulan, or Ethiopia "morher of mankind". Ethiop, actually a Greek term for Black skinned people. The Atlantic was originally called " Ethiopian Sea", The continent was too large and undiscovered, for any one name, so there always were different names for regions. On maps, Africa was the name given after the Punic Wars, in honor of Scipio Africanus, after the death of Hannibal Barkas, but only the Sahel, region north of the Sahara.

I am European decent, so I am not easily able to find much history on Africa. However, I am interested in including African history from the Neolithic to the Common Era into a game I am designing. I want it to be as accurate as possible, so to that end I would like to use the word Alkebulan for the Sub-Saharan African expansion.
Is this accurate and appropriate? I do not want it to be offensive or portray anything other than a non biased lens of African early history.
That also being said, if someone could point me in the direction of information on this era I would be greatly appreciative.
