The WiFi on board ship is hopeless and expensive! I wasn't able to get this to you sooner. But we are back now and so I've put this round up together.
I will do a full review very soon.
We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed it. All seems a bit surreal now but I guess the jet lag doesn't help.
I hope you enjoy this final few vids and I will be getting back to you soon with my review and the date of the 'live' video I will be doing this week.

Hi Helen, I am getting the impression from your vlogs that you are not enjoying the cruise and that you have been disappointed with it. Such a shame if this is correct as you put so much effort into getting your outfits etc. put together and know how excited you were about it. There hasnt been that lovely joking. smiling Helen that we are all used to. perhaps you are just tired. cant wait to have you home and see the HAULS IN MY HALL again with Dolly in the background and you back relaxed and SMILING! xx

Hi Helen, lovely video of your once in a lifetime cruise. About the Covid and wearing masks I’m afraid that is one thing that we are going to have to live with and cruises would be a nightmare of one. My friend as just come back from a world cruise and because the ship had Covid on board some countries wouldn’t let them embark that’s how other countries are dealing with it. Most of the Asia countries like Bali and the Philippines the staff wear masks in coffee shops and restaurants I don’t think we have finished with masks by any means in this country.❤️❤️
Hi Helen, welcome home, home sweet home. You have made some lovely memories and thank you for sharing the good and not so good. Cruising is an acquired taste in my opinion. Not really for me as soooo expensive, too restrictive and as you now I’m a relaxed type of gal….but hey, people love them so each to their own.
The thought of wearing masks again fills me with dread 😟. I hope you have both been well since returning home. I’m looking forward to a home ‘chat & catch up’ over a hot cuppa with Dolly in the background 😊

Ho Helen, I'm so sorry for the ship well the people that have got covid I went on a cruise in February which I had looked forward to so much for all we had some lovely days of ship I will never do a cruise again as been on a ship when you feel ill is not good I had sea sickness all the time which on a big ship I did think would happen then on the second week I brock my tooth and there was no dentist on the ship so I was left to take pain killers and payed a hundred pound to get to a dentist when we got into port the dentist could not help as we wear flying back home two days later the dentist said he would take the thoot out but as we wear flying back he said it could cause complications so all in all I'll never do a cruise again dry land for me from now on ❤😊 🤗
It has all sounded great. Never can trust the weather. We had horizontal rain when a beautiful buffet had all been laid out on deck once. 😡😱. Trips ashore can be great. We’ve done both, organised and getting a brilliant taxi driver to drive us around one time. We’re off on a Mediterranean cruise for a week next week. Have booked a few excursions, but wary of taking off on our own - older and deafer!! 😂😂 Maybe that will change if we meet up with anyone. Either way it will be great. We’re currently under siege with dehumidifiers following what looked like a small leak - it’s gone under the floor!! Pumping out pints! Nightmare! Never mind. We can escape next week. Welcome home. X
This was so much fun! You stunned in every outfit! My favorites were the creamy silk blouse with gold and pearl jewelry, and the blue dress with silver jewelry! Your eyes really pop blue, and silvery bit of dress are great with your silvery tresses!! Feels like you and Rob are really having a great experience, even with weather hiccups, and silly Cunard! Happy that you made friends with fellow passengers and kind welcoming locals while visiting their culture! That was wonderful to hear!

Wow it’s lovely to see you in your outfits we helped choose I like how you matched Robs outfits to yours,I think your a bit of a hero for sharing so much film for us, I did watch a film about cruise liners ages ago where the said it almost impossible to get rid of Covid because it’s in the air conditioning anyways have a safe journey home xx

Thanks for all your blogs whilst on this amazing holiday. Your dresses all looked wonderful particularly the blue and silver. I can really understand how ‘dressing up’ can get weary some when you are doing it every day but I can tell you it was worth all the effort. I particularly loved Rob’s blue flowered shirt. Love a man who is happy to do that. My husband looks particularly good in pink and looks great. Hope you’re home safe and sound now and over any jet lag. I bet it all seems like a dream now.

Visiting the Uk andFrance visiting friends and family along the way for 5 weeks now from Va. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Never been interested in a cruise. We love to plan our own trips and prefer to drive about and meet people that way. So much to see and do right here in the UK. I guess we get used to what we live around and seek new adventures elsewhere. I know we get a lot of tourist coming to Virginia seeking our sunshine, water and mountains. Looking forward to more posts.

We went on a cruise for our Silver Wedding Anniversary (we celebrated our Golden Anniversary ‘home alone’ during the lockdowns!) It turned into a bit of a nightmare when we were confronted by Hurricane Marilyn which caused a lot of damage to the ship and many of the passengers. We’ve avoided cruises ever since, but we are tempted after watching your videos. We won’t be booking with Cunard! Enjoy the rest of your time and safe trip home. xx
Helen i wouldn't take the gift of a cruise. I have traveled quite a bit in my time.A cruise was never a choice. I think id get very sea sick.Probably homesick too.

Videos and photos have been great. Assume you’ve arrived home by now and hope you’d a safe and uneventful trip. The blue snake print dress was stunning and so flattering on you as was the navy blue lace dress. Japan sounds wonderful. I’ll definitely have it on my bucket list - need to win the lottery or remortgage the house though but you never know lol. Shame about the covid situation. Masks do help but only if people are honest about their health and isolate as they should and they don’t stop you getting it - just help to stop it spreading it. Anyway take care x
A friend of ours who was on a cruise in the Caribbean with his partner contracted Covid. He had to stay on board whilst she had to fly back on her own. He had to stay in isolation on board whilst the ship sailed back to Barcelona. Then had to make how own way back from there. What a nightmare
So glad you had a great cruise even with a few niggles . You both looked very dapper every night . So nice to see as lots of people on ships these days dress down. I hope Cunard do have the manners to get in touch once your home but having worked on cruise ships for years, unfortunately I’d say don’t hold your breath. After are experience of having covid last December and having to fight the insurance company for 2 months to pay out even with platinum cruise and covid cover it’s put us off cruising anytime soon. Looks like covid is hear for a long time 😢 Hope you get over the jet lag soon looking forward to seeing you in your hall.

Why sometimes we are called “the ugly Americans” - lack of finding out about different cultures visited then acting foolishly.!! Outfit with Lily Silk looks very nice - love the jewelry ! #2 - Taiwan- taxi and the sites sound perfect - great tip!! Love jumper sand dress- #3-never heard of the island in Japan, rain, yuck! Pottery sounds like a perfect alternative. Nice ending to rainy day!!- enjoy the remaining - it does fly, Tokyo should be amazing - / good to hear from you, ☺️Okinawa- nice weather castle - shops and food sound - days end and navy lace perfect!! Nice little 3 day catchup - 👏🏻♥️
there are plenty of well mannered and cultured Americans usually from the south and Midwest though. The ugliness and loudness and. crassness is a North Eastern thing in particular, New York . I have found this and am still, horrified by it after living here for over 30 years. The problem is not that they dont know about things ( you can always ask or read up on things) its that they are arrogant enough to think they know everything and are so loud.
I’ve really enjoyed being with you both on your cruise. I admire your positivity and I’m glad for all the wonderful stuff and a little sad for the stuff that didn’t come up to expectations . But , as you’d say yourself, that’s life! You take the bad with the good .

You can claim on your travel insurance if you miss part of your cruise because you are isolated. I cruise regularly but have updated cruise insurance to cover missing part of my cruise . Cunard will give you the appropriate paperwork you need to make a claim.
