Lots of love to Barkley and wishing him smooth recovery. We are parents of 3 rescues (now ages 3, 10 and 16) and they are the stars of our lives too. We travel with them in our van and their safety and comfort comes first and even though they require more work we wouldn't do it any other way

Barkley is very cute, so glad he is doing well after vet experience. I do not have a dog now but have had dogs, they are great and I would give my dog good care as you two are doing.
Our Duster, an American cocker spaniel, loved camping and he had his own camp chair. He loved winter camping and playing in the snow. He loved summer camping especially in his chair near the firepit.
That is so awesome you take care of Barkley. I usually have our dogs cleaned every 3 to 4 years. So you are good parents. Give him a kissy. He is so cute

Go out from CO. on I-70 and once you cross into Kansas, see Monument Rocks, south of I-70. It is flat and this thing comes out of the ground out of nowhere. It is made of chalk. It is a National Natural Landmark, but is on private land if I remember correctly. The owner doesn’t mind if you stop a looksy. It is worth visiting!

Great to see he is doing great. We had a Morky and they pulled some teeth as she got older. He looks like a Papshund mix if you look at those images (Dachshund and Papillon). He may have some Yorky in him but he doesn’t seem to bark much, like a terrier would. At least y’all don’t show that. Great video! He soooo cute!

Have you visited the Capulin Volcano National Monument? It’s just over the Colorado/New Mexico. You can drive an easy road part way up and it has a nice rim trail as well as a paved walk down into the inside of the volcano. Pretty neat area!

When you head west on 287 you may want to try Pole Canyon Ranch in Quitaque if you like to hike. Its a horse camp with water and electric hookups and a dump station. People hike and ride side by sides there too. Its west of Childress off of 287. They have Caprock Canyon State Park there too, and Palo Duro Canyon State Park south of Amarillo. Ive ridden my mule in all three. Its not Colorado, but for a day or two there is some pretty scenery, just not in the summer, lol. But being from Texas you know that, lol. Hope Barkley is healing up good. We travel with 4 dogs!

When I had my dog, I carried an extra set of keys and left him locked in there with it running and the window open a little and the air conditioner on in summer and heat on in winter and that worked great.

I just went through a fun dental time with getting my 10 year old Pom. 6 incisors extracted but he’s molars are great though. Expensive AF but worth it.

Sorry Barkley lost teeth, better to get them out before they cause pain or infection. Mr Rusty gets his vaccines/blood work next week and will have his dental after the results. One of his canines required xray last year so we want that rechecked. Barkley is definitely the star! I like seeing how you travel with him, we can always pick up useful travel tips from others. Some pups love to "go" and other do not! I think them loving to go makes it easier. Be safe out there!❤️🐾

Dogs in the Vet are like taking kids to the doctor. They get scared. My dog pissed on the Vets floor and then walked in it. So gross.
