Our dog loved the snow! She was a 7 lb Morky (Maltese+Yorky) she would make tunnels when it was over a foot deep. She was only 10” tall. She’d eat the snow. After awhile she would get snow clumps in her pads and tops of her paws. She would stop and look back at you, with that face, Please Help me! So I would go over and pick her up, take her over to a little heater I had plugged into the outside receptacle and melt the snow balls. I’d dry her paws and let her go. Right back into the snow, until it happened again. I miss that. Thanks for the memories. She passed 11 yrs ago due to cancer in 2013. She was 11 yrs old. Born on Presidents Day Feb 12th 2002.

News, we just get a local weather app and use that for weather and severe weather alerts at night. You can set it for tornados, Forest fires, hurricanes etc and specifically for the county you are in. So you can’t say you can’t get the news and weather in a truck camper.

I use a Gethercovered Windshield and side window cover. It even covers your side mirrors and wipers. I use it when snow, low temps in the 30’s to avoid heavy frost and a hack is to cut pool noodles a little shorter than the vertical width of your windshield and put them on the window and put the cover over to protect from predicted hail. It is pretty hefty material. Check it out you won’t be sorry. We’ll worth the $50 I paid for mine. It is 6 yrs old. Looks brand new. I use it all winter and spring when it hails.

Tires make all the difference in the snow ! I love the bfg a.t. they grab and clean out well, they are quite and wear like iron!

OMGosh! Chai latte with oatmilk is my favorite! Don't forget to ask them to add a little cinnamon. As for the tires we ended up going with BFG KO2 and so far we really love them. I've heard since the sidewall is a little softer we might not get as many miles out of them but I don't mind since we added 2 more leaf springs to our pack. I know you love the snow but we're sitting over here (WA.) praying for spring to hurry up and get here. LoL!! Barkley should be good to go after the vet. If there is any issues with his teeth he'll feel much better once they're taken care of. Probably only need a day of rest for your sweetie! Thanks for taking us along again. Cheers! ~M

Hermit Park was one of the first places we took our RV. I recognize the pull through spot right next to you. Frosty there last October. A great hike there to an spot overlooking Estes Park.

I grew up near Estes and it's a great place for people who love winter activities. The shopping is the same type of stuff that tourists want buy, although there are a few good shops with unique items. I like Grand Lake better myself, but in the winter, it's not great shopping. Breck has the best shopping and some great food, even in the winter. Hopefully, winter is winding down now. I said a prayer for Barkley and hope everything goes well.

A couple thoughts, if you are staying in Colorado for awhile, be prepared for a few more snows. We aren't finished yet. Second, Estes Park is fascinating in the fall. The elk just roam the streets. It is wild.❤

Dinner looks scrumptious, I made something similar and I used a mango habanero sweet chili Thai sauce. I enhanced the shrimp with shredded toasted coconut. It was tasty! Try toasted coconut on any Asian dish.

If your going to be driving under 25mph. Don’t forget to use your non slip axle differential lock outs, (if you have the option), so both your wheels are pulling together in the slippery conditions. You should not use it at high speeds ( over 30 mph max I think )

They make small NOAA (Noah) Weather radios that you can have in your RV that are a constant loop of what the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is saying about local weather. My parents had one in their RV and lived by it. I don't because I snowbird out of snowy areas when I RV.

I think I saw in a previous video that you only have one propane tank. If I have that wrong, just ignore my post. Since space is always a premium, consider a 5 or 10lb tank as a backup. In case you run out, you can use these small ones until you can top off your main one.
Great videos. I always get excited when I see a new one is available.

If you camp in the 4 seasons of the year, then you need a truck camper that is certified for 4 season use. Anything less is Mickey Mouse. Your Windows are not insulated. You can lose 25-35% of your heat with non-insulated windows. Plastic double pane windows filled with Argon Gas that open vertically are best. You have been through some good storms. In the late 1970's a bad storm rolled through the Hamakua coast on the Big Island of Hawaii. I saw it rain 48 inches of rain in 72 hours. Human graves were washed out into the ocean. Aloha.
