This segment is featured on the CD-ROM for November 2009's Guitar World Magazine which also included a full transcription of all guitars and bass line.

Thanks so much! Epic was a blast for me, glad you enjoyed that. Didn't get much recognition but I still have a soft spot for El Toro, among a few others.
I remember watching this when I was ridiculously into guitar hero back in 2014 or so, and now I’m here watching after playing guitar for a year or so and it actually makes sense now. Wild.

I revisited guitar hero a few years ago. Used to love it in 2007. I started playing guitar a couple years ago because of megadeth though. This song is one of my biggest goals to learn
the solo at 5:52 is SOOOOOOO good

If you still use your channel and the account you bought the DLC with, as long as it's on the PS3, let me know about it. I'm trying to get as many GH DLCs as possible because I want to make an archive for people who couldn't get them originally but I didn't get a great majority myself. I already got a few I couldn't find anywhere else, like Love Song for Tesla and Lick It Up for Kiss, but just let me know if you can.

Fantastic job on this video. The editing is A+, the song is A+, the performance is A+. I bought the song on GHWT DLC right away after hearing how good the reviews were from other players (and knowing TDWDTG from GH3).
I wasn't disappointed. Steve you are really a next-generation Guitar Hero! Writing tough DLC, posting how-to on CZcams, and I even see you in the GH Forums.

I have a memory of you playing at a radio station with a lot of wah pedal, But I can't find the video anymore, and I'm like only 80% sure it was you at this point. I listened to it all the time when it came out and still have my copy of the vinyl record as well as my cassette and CD. It's one of those albums where it just has this sound to it that instantly takes me back to that time in my life. One of those things where I associate it with a lot of good memories and people. Thanks for contributing to it and for helping get me through a lot of rough periods. I just wish we'd gotten to hear more than just a few songs from the second album (and that it had gone better for them).
Also-thanks for all the guitar hero stuff, too. I hope you career continues to work out for you.
I have this issue of GW and didn't realize that it had one of the coolest songs ever transcribed.

I think I found out the delay for this. If I'm correct, you're strumming 8th notes at 180 ms. Therefore you're delay for 8th notes would be 180. To change it to dotted 8th (what you're using) just add 50% to the 8th note delay giving you a total of 270 ms. I used it on some parts of this song and it sounds just awesome.

The whole Anthem pack was just absolutely awesome. Now that Guitar Hero is officially "dead" and has ceased to be produced, thanks for all you did with the series. I know for a fact that the GH community appreciates all your work and efforts to please the players!

Thanks a bunch man. I plan to cover the banjo for this song up to the first solo if I can. I'm still learning. My theory is MUCH greater than my actual playing though.

@SteveOuimette yea, the chords are all off so what i have to do is tune the b string to where it will sound great w/ an e chord, but g,a,& d chords sound a bit off & vice versa.

Amazing.
It was funny, I first played Dueling Banjos with my friend on his World Tour on his PS3 and I failed around 3:25 in relation to the video. As soon as I bought it today for Guitar Hero 5, it suddenly became so easy, and it was great fun firing through the solos with great speed and accuracy :D
I havent seen Deliverance, although I have seen the Dueling Banjos part and it was really cool, and adapting to it into a legendary rock theme was even cooler :)

Just a random question. Are you using a distortion. pedal in front of your amp, or just running it straight through your Marshall (for the Schecter)? What are your tone settings like? Either way, it sounds awesome.

Wow, thank you for your reply! Don't see many celebrities do that! You 've said you 've got a Les Paul Baritone wich you tune like a bass. I am a bassist and I would like to know: can it really respond on the same frequencies as a regular bass guitar? It would be very interesting to explore the capabilities of it's sound! Actually, it's possible to play the song as a single player. Sure, he says he uses 3 guitars, but the whole part of it is because he did it all by himself. Steve may have to had re-recorded the song for the other 2 guitar sounds. Not sure if this makes sense, but it will in time. lol
