Is nobody going to talk about the cameraman leading Steve to the dressing room? Walking backwards upstairs and nailing each corner like an F1 driver, blind, while framing the shot perfectly? Needs an award.
Guess what? He can actually turn his head to see where he's walking and it's not hard to keep someone in frame when you already know the route. LOL
@@DWish808 Walking backwards with a big camera while keeping the subject in frame and making quick corners at a high speed is not easy my friend.
LOL
@@storyoptics4964 LOL, I'm in the industry. They're not using some big shoulder mounted camera like they had to do back in the day. One day you'll learn... maybe.
@@DWish808 LOL are you really? What have you worked on? And whats the name of the camera rig you're using?
There's probably someone navigating for the cameraman, as you can see in many sports events when the cameraman gets close-up shots of each athlete before/after the match.
Simple comedy is sometimes the hardest to create, and we all just witnessed one of the legends
All three are legends
I found none of it to be particularly funny. Even legends get old and lose their touch.
@@jonathanfelso It's funny because it' silly. Shouldn't have to be explained.
I agree with you. This is very on brand and very funny. Where it dies... is its existence a youtube clip. This doesn't belong here. Ultimately this is a trash clip.
Agreed totally!
I kinda wanted to see them actually play Dueling Banjos
Man I thought something was wrong with my phone. This avatar was white and looked like my screen was cracked.
@@daffyduck1937 huh
that would've been great.
Yep I agree with you, I would of loved to see them do that, but I also agree with the other person that your avatar made me think I had a hair or a crack in my screen. It's pretty good.
@neil unger deliverance is great what are you talking about
I love both these men SO much. Having them together is a double, extra dose of antidepressants. ☺️💕
why is everyone depressed now in days
Yes ! 😊
@@gusss_6917 because God loves us
❤️🧡❤️
I could agree more
"Working with Steve is like the movie Deliverance, it's all fun and games until the banjos comes out."
- Martin Short
@@cultclassic999 nah, Benjamin Franklin.
@@luqmanyusufi I think you are wrong.
"The problem with Ben's quotes on the Internet is that it is hard to verify if he actually said it"
- Abraham Lincoln
😉
When Steve Martin smiles he somehow looks like Harrison Ford
Thought i was the only one lol
i thought the same!
Eww no
. That doesn't work, as Steve Martin has looked the same for the last 100 years and Harrison Ford has done a lot of changing.
I see it too😅
I love both of these men so much. Yesterday was Steve Martin's birthday. I cannot believe he is 75. Not possible. I am 57. When I was in high school, I owned all of his albums and can still do every word on them from memory. So, so good. And Conan sometimes makes me laugh by not even doing anything. Both men are brilliant and talented and have brought me great joy on many occasions. : )
The art of combining genius and silly, these two really are on top of the list.
Getting to watch this segment live was everything.
This is a glorious bit. Never seen it before. What a joy.
That Bob Newhartesk Conan stare gets me every time!
I still want them to play the whole song together!
Steve Martin is an accomplished banjo player and appears playing the instrument in Earl Scruggs and Friends video for "Foggy Mountain Breakdown," for which he won a Grammy for Best Country Instrumental Performance. This makes him rare in that he has won Grammies for both comedy and music.
Steep Canyon Rangers were up against Billy Strings for best Bluegrass Grammy this year..... BMFS won.
That banjo looks amazing on him. Such a beautiful instrument.
You made me laugh, you made me listen, and your banjo playing has entertained me for the last 20 years. Thanks, Steve.
I've come to the conclusion that Steve Martin will never age beyond the appearance of man who just turned 49. He's just going to look that way the rest of his life.
Would have been hilarious if Steve stopped to sign autographs for a tourist family on his second trip to his dressing room.
😂
That's such a long way to go for a very good bit.
The arm of the chair makes Steve look like he has three legs
Thanks for bringing joy to the world Steve. 🌸
I don't have a mind to mind about minding these two guys minding about their performance. 😂😂
Nobody bits like Steve Martin bits.
Agree. I watched thinking: the wrong facial expression at any time would harm the bit. Perfect expression at all times.
Steve Martin never get's old. Literally
He’s been looking the same for the last 50 years.
Always handsome, since he was….old? 🤔
Props to the cameraman 👏🏻
Steve was always the master of patiently waiting for a gag to unfold and then paying off Big Time!
I miss this guy in movies. Love "Father or the bride". Such a good and funny guy. Also loved "The three amigos" and much more movies of him
He created and is starring in that new Murder in the Building show or something and apparently people love it.
Trains planes and Automobiles!
I love Steve Martin man!!😂😂
Omg yes the content we’ve waited for
Such commitment to the bit!
Only the man with two comedic brains can think up something like that. 👍
The main character energy is electrifying
A stage of geniuses.
Two of the funniest men on planet earth in the same room speaking to each other. This is just one of those little things in life that make it worth living.
Steve is the master!
Steve Martin doesn't look like he has aged at all! Yes, I know this is from 2011... still pretty damn impressive.
Man, seeing that old CZcams overlay just sent me back so far...
I like both steve and conan
Such a great bit
I almost had an asthma attack for laughing so hard. Haha
Wow! Steve Martin still looks great!
Its called botox lol
Comedy GENIUS !
so deliciously silly 😂
This is gold Jerry, gold!
Steve Martin at this banjo playing art collecting elder comedy statesman phase of life now brings to my mind John Malkovich in Being John Malkovich and his marionettes. I know Martin has always played the banjo, and has always been a serious musician. I just can't shake the feeling it's all a put on now. Like some weird, subtle, and much more socially acceptable Andy Kaufman joint.
Love Steve Martin
Steve Martin looked the same age in 1975.
I enjoy Steve's plays 👍
Conan playing a Texas made Collings guitar! He sure has great taste in music!
HAHAHHAA “you kick it off” *conan plays the first one* “my banjos in the dressing room” *walks away
As they say in comedy, that was a long walk!
Love this bit 😅
Giants of Comedy walk this Earth.
Steve Martin is a cool cat.
I was in Utah when Steve Martin's banjo troop came through they were awesome
I honestly expected Steve to just walk off set and never come back. That would have been hilarious.
Conan will always be the goat
Now in terms of musical appreciation, I would love to hear them actually do the song..
Conan casually whipping out a $6,000+ guitar.
I was not expecting a custom Collings.
@@bigmac51290 He had TBS money back when that meant something!
Coco❤️
Reminded me off, 'My baton is in Chicago' Andre Previn 🤣
Banaroo. It's wild but awesome. I try to go every yr here in Manchester TN
“You’re messing with the wrong guy!!!!”
I want Conan to make more videos with Kevin heart and ice cube those videos made me and my mom laugh so hard
When you go to HBO you better get Triumph back on the show
I guess we all unanimously can agree that we can watch Steve Martin walking up and down the corridor all day through.
BRING BACK THE OLD SHOW AND RETURN TO COMIC CON.
The two commedian i just love it! Conan please response me i would to travel all the way America,,, from North East India Mizoram
Steve Martin looks absolutely phenomenal for being over 70 years old 🤯
That's because he was 66 yo in this clip (from 2011). But you're absolutely right about how well he's aged, like a fine wine. :D
Give us Deliverance.
Every time this is played, they should acknowledge Arthur Smith. Smith wrote this piece and had to sue the movie studio for using it without his permission. He won.
awesome
I thought he gonn walk towards the parking lot and drive away lol
“Only I may play the banjo”
Steve played a great role in the Jerk.
Such a Steve Martin bit
0:53 Fan Correction: I worked production at Bonnaroo and there is no large, desert-tan, steel and concrete structure on the farm itself. But at a hotel nearby, band gear loads in/out from their truck to a smaller Ryder-type one that will take it to whatever stage it's going to.
yep about as fake as the comedy, never has been funny, like jim carrey..they BOTH try, but they turn it into absurdity instead & lose any comedy that could have been there
Both of those guys have attractive features. Andy, too.
I’m honestly just as pissed as Conan 🤣
Yes
Man this got funnier an funnier shouldn't have cut to commercial
this guy has looked the same since 1987 its bizzare
I always thought those curtains open automatically
Bring back the cat juggling 🐈⬛
3:15 Watch your step. The first one out that door is a doozy.
Magic x
That... is a good bit
RIP Ned Beatty
The man with 2 brains is brilliant.
This is like a Norm MacDonald joke acted out.
Now that’s comedy
That's how I would have done it!
RIP a legend
Who died? 😱
they're both alive. lol
@@lilitudeamnocte248 I guess in a sense legends never die
Inshallah ☝🏾
That Andy fella sure has a purdee mouth.
Somehow CZcams's auto-generated subtitles thinks this video is in Vietnamese, lol.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
lol
I miss that type of comedy.
☮️
Would have been funny if he walked backstage, out the door, and hailed a cab
