Me encantan estas piezas musicales, las amo porque sin haber vivido en esas epocas, cierro mis ojos y de inmediato me siento parte de ese momento
Tiene un algo maravilloso! Me atrevo a pensar que esta melodía inició el Barroco Temprano (1580-1630), porque tiene un algo renacentista, pero polifónico! Me grita el pasado y me muestra a las clases altas indígenas con su influencia en la cultura novohispana! cosa que hemos olvidado por autodevaluación de los mexicanos. Cuánto necesito saber, por Dios! Gracias por este regalo!!!
El desarrollo musical de la nueva España es muy interesante, ya que como mencionas inicia en el barroco temprano , durante la mal llamada colonia se desarrollo plenamente el barroco influenciado por el barroco español , con sus matices árabes , pero enriquecido con ritmos nativos y africanos

, I believe you know Manuel de Sumaya, I call him "Manuelito de Sumaya", since he was a child prodigy, surely presented to a mature Sor Juan Inés, by the Maestro de Capilla Antonio de Salazar, who might have seen the capabilities in the Seize child. La mejor interpretacion aparte de la cual de la pelicula Barroco
+bucaneromax1 Una interpretación asombrosamente informada en lo respectivo al barroco. Con una pequeña salvedad: esta composición es del Renacimiento. Es más bien como si unos barrocos hubieran cantado lo que leyeron en un manuscrito que para entonces ya era antiguo.
Es de la PELICULA que se llama BARROCO de michel leduc del anio 1989. No me has entedido bien. Hicieron esta cancion para la escena cuando la monja se callo sangriente ye despues solo quedo la tela.

Usaron esa cancion para la pelicula BARROCO de michel leduc. Se trata de la historia de Mexico.
Si el musicólogo Robert Stevenson tuviera razón, y Hernando Franco (encontrado como Herna don fran co) y fuera "Don Francisco Hernán" o alguna variante, y el hecho de que esto esté en nahuatl, podría ser de nobleza indígena. por el "Don". Si hay piezas suyas en Guatemala, esto se vuelve sorprendente por las posibilidades interpretativas- casi novelísticas

This is lovely, but I think you have the wrong "Hernando Franco." This is not the Spanish Franco, who was the 3rd maestro de capilla at Mexico City's cathedral and who wrote some excellent sacred polyphony in Latin; This villancico was almost certainly by the Aztec composer, who obviously studied composition, perhaps with the Spanish Franco, and left us a handful of sacred works in Nahuatl.
