Chishiya always manages to impress. He sits back and doesn't make unnecessarily moves. He watches and waits and learns as much as he can until he knows the next best possibly move

Watching this series back, I really enjoy how all the face card games taught our main characters very needed lessons that they can take back into real life. Usagi learned the value of living for herself after loosing her parents in the Queen of Spades game from the kid, and here Chisiyua learned about what happens to you when you don’t stick to your ideals in a corrupt world/system, for example. All of the games prompted very personal and necessary character development without anything feeling forced. Brilliant meeting of plot and character writing.
Would have been a great lesson had they even remembered.
I hate to say it, but if I ended up in this world, I would be damn grateful to meet Arisu and follow him with near-blind loyalty. It would be my only chance of survival without compromising too many of my morals.
Well you'd have plot armor, but objectively someone like Ann is more versatile.

King of spades quickly turned into my favorite game out of any from the 2 seasons, at first when you see it's just one guy with some guns I thought 'Oh this should be dealt with by the end of the first episode no problem', but by the last episode the show proves why that guy was the KING of spades, that and the fact he's a constant presence throughout making him the only game with that uniqueness as opposed to being held in one place, unless you're prepared to beat him you have no option but to run
Also the flashbacks of Arisu playing a similar shooting game in the beginning as well. It was like he was playing a game he played in reality in the world of borderland. I thought this should look familiar and easy to Arisu as he has played this before. 😂

I believe Mira was a psychiatrist in the real world and she also got pulled into the world of the borderland. Maybe she was one of the winners before Arisu and the others entered borderland and she decided to stay in borderland.
I would have loved to see Chisiya play the last game with Mira. He would've been like OK, I don't believe anything you say until you show me proof 😂😂😂

Still think it's funny how the school girl somehow lived, she got shot SO MANY TIMES. She should have been dead soon after or def not survived long enough until the final game ended. It was even a bit of a stretch with Anne and Kuina (I am glad they survived but wow they are built different 😆) but the one who takes the top prize of how are you not dead yet is Nigari. Like bro got thrown off a roof, burnt seriously, internally bleeding and shotgunned and STILL made it to the end
i think they both still survived because they have strong will to live..if u still remember..the school girl told arisu that she will do anything to survive (everyone died in her first game while she still alive crawling with her injured leg to get out, lost her dignity so her leg can be treated)

With every second that I have watched on this season, the thrill of the games are what makes it interesting to watch, and has quite profound meanings on each and every one of them.

You would have to be very smart, strong, athletic and flexible, observant, analytic, manipulating, calm and emotionless like Chishiya to win. But if you are not, that's OK...just make friends like they do and form a strong group and you'll all be winners. 😂 No one would survive if they played all the games alone. That is the same in life. You need to help each other and support one another. I think there was also a strong message of working together and teamwork and don't give up. Although you might lose some friends along the way, that's inevitable. But like many things in life, you need sacrifices in order to gain and win something. It may seem harsh and painful but life is also about going through obstacles and overcoming pain and sorrow.
Also, most games require teamwork to win and not solely on your own. However, when people are put in a position where they have to play at the cost of their lives, they would then most likely not want to play together with others and play on their own. This is because most people are selfish and wish to be the only survivor rather than help others survive. You might also only work and play with others to use them for your own advantage like we have seen many do in this show.

@@ayubisf He could have but there was definitely games that required teamwork or a partner to play such as the King of Clubs. Chisiya wouldn't be able to guard the base and find all the items on his own. He also wouldn't stand a chance to win in the King of Spades as you can see it took all of them to defeat him. Chisiya would ace all the other games though. He would have easily cleared the Queen of Hearts game.

That’s why I love Alice in borderland Retry’s (the spin-off) nine of hearts game so much! It was perfectly designed for everyone to survive, but because of one person’s selfishness to share the information it became a “choose one to die per round” type of game 🤦🏽♀️ if Arisu wasn’t smart (and desperated) enough to think it through, they would’ve all died in the end 🫠
Love how Queen of Spades and the compilation (except the mahjong game, I think) are all originals for the series and not in the manga.
Sure, the manga is filled with games that aren't adapted into the live action series as well, but it fills me with excitement when something new like that happens.
Yeah, mahjong was the Jack of Diamonds in the manga as well, but it's also the first face card game Chishiya won in the manga rather than the Jack of Hearts.
After seeing the end, the meaning of "will you give up" gets a lot heavier...
Jack of hearts and King of diamonds are the best games of the season, Chishiya made them entertaining and breathtaking.
Queen of Hearts was quite unexpected for its genre and Mira seemed like a merciful villain
I think queen of hearts a bit different from its genre and other jack of hearts games bcs literally mira just want to messed up with their mind rather than playing an actual games so arisu can just gave up and fail after all the games they've done so far
Part of the gimmick of Q♡ is that you can't lose the game. This also means you can't *leave* the game without winning. If you kill Q♡, the game is unwinnable and everyone dies to passport timeout. That's what's devious about it.
The Queen of Hearts was completely free for anyone who wasn't Arisu. Mira designed the game to take full advantage of his need for answers so she could mess with him over tea and get him to concede, or at least to trick him into killing her. Either way, everyone else is screwed. If Usagi weren't there, it would have worked too.
Out of all the games between season 1 and 2 there was only one game I knew how to win before watching it play out.
That was the light bulb game in season 1, where they would be electrocuted if the water hit the electrical prongs.
It’s actually a brainteaser, and my year 11 math teacher taught me it in high school when I was 16. I’m 25 now and when I first heard the instruction being read out I had the biggest deja vu moment and the way they solved it in the show is exactly how you solve the brainteaser. I was very impressed seeing a simple brain teaser being turned into a death trap. It was very fascinating for me

Nah. That game was free for literally anyone except the person who actually played it. Mira designed it with Arisu's need for answers in mind so that she could mess with him over drugged tea and use that need for answers to get him to concede. Even if you drank the drugged tea, unless you share his need for answers she doesn't have nearly as strong a hold on you, and you probably wouldn't drink more after the first break.

Problem is your strategy is perfect but if everyone thinks alike you will play the game forever. You have to kill to survive because food stockage might end and you can’t really sleep. You have to give an answer in 1 hour so you’re put such under high levels of stress which makes you WANT to kill so the game can end.
@@eduardocardossa143 Not to mention the Jack of Hearts is cheating. Well, technically not since he's a Citizen and not a player and the rules only say the PLAYERS can't bring in reflective objects, but still, he's pretty much cheating. He designed his game to have no risk to himself.

One of the things I like about this series is that every game and player is bound by the game's own rules. Every player must follow the game's rules, and there's no way around them. You cannot outsmart the rules; there are no crazy twists or dramatic betrayals. You play the game. You die if you go against the rules. Die if you fail. Live if you win. Simple and straightforward, it doesn't really toy with the viewers' emotions, and every character is depicted as simply humans if that makes sense-going with the flow and making inevitable choices because of the situations they're put in.
Where is Alice in Borderland season 3 coming out? Alice in Borderland is expected to come out on Netflix in December 2024. The December 2024 potential release date is purely speculative, however, and will be updated as and when we receive more information.I am sure season 3 will come because joker card was not there in both seasons Arisu may be joker card in season 3

I don’t think they explained anything yet tbh I really think they are now in the Jokers game it would be AMAZING to actually explain more about what happened to them because the OTHER 2 stories the Queen of Heart said sound more real then the meteor hitting them because they got to choose to deny the citizenship doesn’t add up why they all meet and help each other in a “dream” and not remember each other
Look honestly everything is explained but not in plain sight obviously! Even right down to the title and it's similarity in Alice in Wonderland. It'd a play and juxtaposition naming it Arisu in Borderland.
Look the whole thing is a metaphor, whereas Alice in Wonderland is a nightmare venture. This is also a nightmare adventure but the entire two series is people fighting for their lives as they're in serious injured after the meteorite disaster.
Everyone's real body is actually in a hospital fighting from their injuries from the blast throughout the entire two series.
Basically those who died in the games basically died in real life as either A) they lost willpower to continue B) Their injuries were too much to bare.
Those who survived till the end of the queen of hearts game and voted to stay apparently people theorised that they remained in comatose in the hospital. Neither dead or conscious state.
Finally that Joker card can be just a red herring. It doesn't necessarily have to mean anything. Sure they can make a third season, but without anything solid to go with it can turn out into a total mess.
I'm actually fine the way it ended. Unless they can think of something new and game changing to add to the table I rather they don't make another season.

If you think you can beat any game here just know there are others that aren’t seen that are easy, the main characters just like doing harder games, heck, even children beaten games and theyve been surviving for a while, some are smarter than adults. Jsut know there are games built for you.
Hopefully they follow the manga and adapt it accordingly. The manga needs to be known it's pretty underrated

Definitely preferred the games from season 1. Also I was kinda dissapointed that some of the games were shown so briefly and others (the in my opinion not so interesting one😅) lasted over multiple episodes.
