Hi friends! I'm Jennifer, a forty-something wife and mother of 7 children ages 8 - 24. We are Catholic. We homeschool. We cook from scratch. We farm cranberries. We drink coffee. We advocate for Down syndrome awareness. We are loud. We are chaotic.
Here I'll share vlogs about all these things, what I'm doing that works and what I've tried but didn't work. I hope to encourage you in your journey through motherhood, homeschooling, learning to cook, and growing in your faith through it all.

The bread is Beautiful, Jennifer!! My Grandma would bake bread. My Dad said it was so good. It made the house smell so nice. The last time I saw her, I was holding her hand and I asked her how to bake bread. It was very bittersweet. She and my Grandpa are two of the most Loving, Holy, humble and kind people I have ever known. Extremely devout Roman Catholics. They prayed their Rosaries . I know they are in Heaven watching over me. I will ask them to pray for You and watch over you Jennifer and family and all on here..

You could buy a bag of just peanuts and then add honey if you want that in it. It may be cheaper than but the dry roasted peanuts.

I’ve been watching Heather for at least 7 years! It was heartbreaking hearing of what her family endured/enduring. I still use her hoagie/roll recipe for our Italian beef, any time of hamburger buns, just my go to dinner sandwich bread. I bought a Pullman pan because of her. She has been an inspiration ❤️

My first job was while I was in college; I worked for Swiss Colony. We had a machine to make peanut butter; nothing but the peanuts & some salt. It was just a small grinder but, the fresh peanut butter was a big seller. This was in 1970's before organic became big. That was a wonderful & fun job & for a couple who became great friends.

I have been making that bread for years, you can do the first rise overnight in the refrigerator. It also makes really good cinnamon rolls, and good cinnamon bread, just do whatever you use before rolling it up. If you like the texture and taste of this bread look up recipes for Japanese milk bread, it is where the recipe for this was based off, Japanese milk bread is delicious.

Glad to see this collab is continuing. Glad you made this bread, I was debating between a sweetened condensed milk bread base or a raisin bread base to try to recreate a store-bought peach sweet bread. I made the raisin bread base and it just wasn't sweet enough. While peaches are still in season I'll remake it with this recipe. Heather is such a good baker and she remains in my prayers as she continues to try to heal. There are stores here that have a grinder setup with fresh peanuts and I'll bet you'd pay three times the price of what you made for that 'natural' peanut butter. I don't know how you were able to sleep the night you filmed this...that tantalizing aroma would have kept me awake! lol Thank you, Jennifer!!

I’m so glad you tried making peanut butter in you blender!!!! I have a vita mix and do this all the time…. One tip I usually use plain roasted unsalted peanuts you can always add your own salt!) But I have also made a 50/50 mix with the plain peanuts and honey roasted peanuts…. It cuts down the sweetness and stretches the “unwanted extra ingredients” in the honey roasted peanuts!

Ive been making my own peanut butter for a few years now, I also add in any other nuts I happen to have to the peanuts, especially good with cashews or almonds thrown in. you want it to get warm in the blender …that brings the oils out in the nuts and that’s what makes it creamy and smooth even though it takes a good five minutes or so may be longer but wait for that to happen. It’s yummy. Also I like not having any funky stuff added to it like when I read the ingredients on store bought…. I never add sugar or oils. I find doing it in my food processor is easier to clean.

I bet we could also separate the slices and add garlic butter and a melting cheese in between. Yum. They were delicious as is though. I just think that the dough is si versatile that a lot could be done with it. It's so easy to work with as well. Thanks much. I have a greek chicken pie recipe that's easy if youre interested. It uses shredded rotisserie chicken phyllo dough, onion and feta. Good, impressive and easy.

Here’s another thought about that peanut butter… You’re comparing the fact that the peanut butter that you buy in the store is an offbrand peanut butter so they probably use offbrand peanuts… You used the top name brand peanuts so If you’re comparing namebrand to namebrand…. I would say that making your own peanut butter with those peanuts are the better deal

Since nuts and nut butters are sold by weight not volume you still got 16 oz of peanut butter, especially if you'd have been able to scrape all of the product out of the blender.
It's like the old brain teaser asks "which weighs more a pound of feathers or a pound of rocks. "
    Answer..they both weigh the same
