Hi friends! I'm Jennifer, a forty-something wife and mother of 7 children ages 9 - 25. We are Catholic. We homeschool. We cook from scratch. We farm cranberries. We drink coffee. We advocate for Down syndrome awareness. We are loud. We are chaotic.
Here I'll share vlogs about all these things, what I'm doing that works and what I've tried but didn't work. I hope to encourage you in your journey through motherhood, homeschooling, learning to cook, and growing in your faith through it all.

Best kitchen helpers, Peter, Joe and Maria. Joe was so sweet winking at us in the camera. Peters face and his antics, he’s so funny. Sweet Maria and the look on her face tasting the applesauce. Plus Warren always pitches in with the kids, kitchen things or whatever is going on at the time, that’s when he’s not super busy his self. Love sitting by the fire and roasting brats, hot dogs and s’mores...good family time and memories.
I told my youngest daughter yesterday, the days are long, but the years are short. She said what do you mean, so I had to explain it to her. That it seemed like it was just yesterday I was bringing my babies home. I hope you and your precious family have a blessed night and thank you for sharing your family with us.

I have one of those food strainers, I love mine, makes applesauce making a dream. I was taking a break from processing apples when what do I watch, Jennifer processing apples, I had no help though, my kids are all on their own now but they want the applesauce, apple jelly, apple pie filling, now my grandson wants a case of apple pie filling so he feels like he is at Nanny's house eating, I told him he needs to help me cut the apples if he wants that much, we have a nice apple here called Northern Spy, makes great pies, huge apples, one apple gives 2 cups, mix with other apples, but apples that big make the cutting go faster. What a nice family you have.

What a blessed harvest you guys had! That is such great advice on canning what's right for your family. I learned the lesson a couple years ago with carrots. We had a ton so I did dilly carrots I had seen a lot of people canning on CZcams (about a dozen jars) sadly all but two are still in the back pantry. So yeah, I should have stuck to plain carrots. I learned after that to only can things I know we like or start with just a few jars to test them out lol. Thanks for sharing your day and the kids with us. I loved seeing them helping.
