Ice Cream Pie
2 oz. melted unsweetened chocolate
1 stick butter
1 c. white sugar
2 c. rice krispies
Mix together and pat into well greased pie plate. It might work well to line it in parchment paper. Spread 1 container of your favorite ice cream, softened into shell. Freeze. Allow to thaw at room temp for 15-20 minutes before serving. This was so good!!! The next day we discovered this server worked best for taking out the pie slices. amzn.to/3BoWsPe
Dump & Bake Meatball Casserole
1 jar spaghetti sauce
3 c. water
12-16 oz. uncooked pasta shapes
2 pounds of precooked meatballs
2-4 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
Extra spices
Mix as I do in video. Cover and Bake at 425 degrees for about 35-40 minutes. Check pasta for doneness. Top with cheese and bake until cheese is melted. I used 16 oz. pasta which was great for the first night, but they really sucked up the sauce for the next day leftovers. I think 12 oz. pasta would work well leaving it a bit saucy. Of course, if you don't want it saucy then use a full pound of pasta.

I have a spoon similar to that, I bought as a teenager from Wilton catalog, when I was all into cake decorating. It has holes, flat bottom, very heavy nice spoon!! I use it ALL the time! For browning ground beef, and all kinds of other things. Just LOVE all your videos!!! You are a very sweet lady. God Bless you!!!
Hi, Jennifer. Pairing this casserole with cottage cheese on the side is genius! I love cottage cheese and I love it with lasagna instead of ricotta cheese so it's a win/win in my humble opinion.
Great video! That ice cream pie looked amazing!! When I was growing up, there was a Piggly Wiggly literally right by my house. I used to love walking over to that store. I would always buy a single Reese's Peanut Butter Cup for 10 cents. I remember being devastated when the price was raised to 11 cents! 😂😂 I ordered a container of the Portesi seasoning. It is so good! I am very glad you introduced that product to the rest of us! ❤️

Yes, those are great prices. We are in Michigan and even with sales/coupons I would not find most of those prices. I like the idea of doing the mashed potatoes ahead and freeze.

I didn't realize that Pic and Save is part of the Kroger/Fred Meyer chain...they are a really big outfit. You are doing great getting more bang for your grocery buck, that has to make feeding a big family easier. I'm going to give your ice cream pie recipe a try and also send you my husband's mom's ice cream pie recipe. It is more work and you have to have Nilla wafers and also nuts if I remember. It is something she used to always serve at summertime family dinners. And it too is just as hard to cut a pretty piece but oh so delicious.

I make lasagna in my crock pot. Just layer it up and use uncooked noodles, sauce, meatballs and cheese. It comes out great! Our grocery store is called Food for Less. It's basically a discount Kroger and is much less expensive than the "brand name" chains. I shivered when you made an ice cream pie in the winter LOL! Blessings to you all.
Did you mix in any water to the sauce?
@@acountrylife No. When I make spaghetti sauce, I make a huge pot of it. Hubby could eat it every day of his life (if I let him). With the lasagna, I just make sure there is lots of sauce. I used the same frozen meatballs you use, but cut them is half. I am a good, basic cook, but Jennifer, I can NOT make a meatball. Whatever recipe I use, they still come out like lethal weapons. I'd go so far as to say that our military should hire me as a consultant in meatball warfare. Question....did you ever make my cheeseburger chowder recipe? I know you're incredibly busy, but I think your family will really like it. As I said, once the veggies are chopped up, it's a breeze. Marcy
I freeze my extra mashed potatoes and a thaw them in the crock pot,too. A little butter,salt and pepper and they are good. I like Maria's coat...cute cute.

I was exhausted when I sat to take a break, a woman's work is never done, you may have me beat, I could take a nap watching you. I make an ice cream dessert in a cheesecake pan you might like, line the bottom with the thin Oreo's (or crushed up big ones), any flavor, cut ice cream sandwiches into four, across middle then long way (one box is more than enough), line the pan with the cut halves around the inside (so when you remove the pan the ice cream sandwich edges show), layer 2 or 3 different ice creams in the middle, between each layer, hot fudge or caramel sauce, top the whole thing with cool whip and shaved chocolate or mini chocolate chips. It is one of every ones favorites around here, and feeds a crowd something different, or a birthday cake.

Loved the no boil pasta meatball casserole.I always have homemade meatballs in my freezer. This is easy especially to make a smaller casserole for myself. Wonder if the ice cream pie would cut easy if parchment paper was in the pie pan. I've bought p remade chocolate pie crusts, not good. Love all your recipes because I almost always have the ingredients in my pantry.

My store didn't have the super on sale orange juices in stock. But I did manage to get the half gallons of milk. Anytime I can find deals like that, I buy the limit and plan my menu accordingly. My total for the week was 160 originally. Then after ibotta and coupon deals, it got down to 86.

If you have a tarp you can just pile wood on top and drag it. I think if you preslice the pie before you freeze it, it’ll be easier later.

Walmart has there brand of great value original premium roll sausage with added spices for $1.97 for a full 1lb it's in a blue package with a white circle with premium sausage with added spices check it out super cheap deal instead of 3.99 to nearly 5.

Walmart has barrilla pasta for $1, as well as yours local dollar generals, dollar trees/family dollar will still have some pastas for a $1 as well. Grocery Outlets are also great options for .87 pasta.
I live in Pa. Our milk is almost $5.00 a gallon. Its crazy.

I have tried both mashed potatoes made on the stovetop and in the instant pot. When freshly made both are good. But I find the instant pot version is runny and slightly grainy after it has been frozen. So from now on I stick to the traditional kind.
But I will say that that ice cream pie looks delicious. I have never seen anything like it. I will definitely be trying that.
I have a spoon that looks like that. It's called a roux spoon on Amazon. It works great for sausage gravy and of course roux.
Our Kroger store is Fred Meyer (it's different from Meijer in the midwest). They tend to be a little pricier than Walmart. I live in a small town, and quite often the shelves are not very well stocked. (I recognized the cartoon characters in the Pick'n'Save ads!)

Thank you for using a potato peeler when peeling your potatoes! So many creators use a knife to peel and they waste so much of the potato :-(. It breaks my cheap little heart. Awesome deals today :-)
My Mother loved to peel vegetables for me. For dinner or canning. She could peel a potato with a sharp knife in one thin peel. I miss those days with her.
