The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is one of the best day hikes in the entire world and it's pretty to see why. This is a must-do when you come to New Zealand!

A must do if you have alpine hiking experience. Any videos you see are likely pre lockdown. The chains have gone, steps and support walls are crumbling and formed paths have disappeared. Without high throughput this path is no more. You must have decent boots, poles and water. Don’t be surprised to find yourself rock climbing.
