    On mine both the black and white vacuum tubes are broke, i bought some air brake tubing to run through the loom under the acumulator and up to the vacuum source between the evaporater housing and the passenger side of the engine and that fixed the black vacuum source, and a piece of 5/32 vacuum hose, approximately a foot and attached that to the white hose, and from there to the fresh air mode door actuator that is located in the corner of the passenger side firewall, the vent door actuator is located under the dash, to the right of the ash tray, on my 92 f150, thanks for the video!

    Thank you Mr. Buddy Sir, for this video. There was a leak right there exactly where you showed. Will try it out tomorrow to see if I have any others.

    Thank you for fixing my 96 f150.Iit had the corroded vacuum line just as you said. In my case it was so brittle it was gone, but I could see where it broke off.

    That vacuum motor is actually just the fresh air/ recirculation door motor. There are 2 more vacuum motors under the dash to control the vent modes.

      Lonewolf3165 I am having an issue where I get air coming from the blower motor and out of the blend door/into the cabin, but it does not come out of the vents. Think it could be one of those??

      Can you describe wherebout these 2 are? & are they the same part number as the one under the hood?
      I just checked the one under the hood by manually moving it and its not right, inner mechanism feels corroded. I figure after 23 years all of them are due.

      @@redmachine4542 THANKS MUCH! I know there is also one under the hood at the passenger corner near the heater hoses. So know I can begin a strategy to replace them. They are not cheap = around $50 each. However after years of going round and round regarding the evaporator core location, last summer I was reworking all the gaskets on my engine and DUH...there was heater core covered in a foil wrap super easy to get to. YAY!

      Hey looks like you are knowledgeable about these trucks. I’m looking to buy my first one and the one I went to check out had two hoses disconnected. I’d really appreciate if you could name what the hoses are. On 0:06 the two hoses are coming out of the wall. I feel like it’s not good to have them disconnected hahaha. Thanks in advance!!

    Does anybody know if on an 83 f150 does this vacuum system still require a cable behind the control levers to operate? Can't find a cable hanging anywhere and just lost the air flow direction.

    would this fix my lukewarm heat? i can hear the doors moving when i turn it from floor to vent but on vent and floor it’s cold, when i turn it to vent i get amazing heat for about a second then it gets lukewarm, and i can hear a door almost closing instead of staying open.

      Sounds like it's losing vacuum somewhere. Go over your vacuum system good, see if that helps.

    If there is a vacuum line leak in the line....shouldn't the heater Ac direction doors still work...operating the vacuum control manually?
    If testing the broken line produces no vacuum then what?

    Well what do you know, my heater wasn't working on my 96 so I went to check the vacuum line and it was cut off.. weird thing is whoever had it before me put a zip tie on the actuator that holds the line... could this be the reason for no heat?

    • @TheFSeries
      @TheFSeries  Před 3 lety +1

      That sounds like you have multiple issues at hand. Check your thermostat (May not even have one in place), check your heater core to ensure it isn't plugged up, etc.

      Try moving it manually, if it works correctly then it is probably a bad servo/vacuum setup

      @TheFSeries  Před 7 lety +4

      Pull your glove box out, and look at approx. a 10 O' Clock position, on top of the AC Ducting and you will see a white piece of plastic that SHOULD have a wire coiled around it.
      That's the other end of the cable from the HVAC panel that moves the blend door.

    My first AC vaccum hose broke after 22 years. Now replacing it with OE is a bit tougher. Those tiny vacuum lines are brittle. The electric HVAC controls never last 22 years. Praise anything without a god**(*&( motor and computer.

    Take a piece of the plastic tubing you remove with you to the parts store so you can use it to size vacuume hose to fit tubing! Plastic tubing is just another cheap means ford used to build the vacuumed system!
