    Amazing woman...I'm really surprised no film company has made a film of her life story. An incredible life !

      Her early life was filmed as "The Actress" with Jean Simmons as Ruth, and Spencer Tracy and Teresa Wright as her parents. It runs occasionally on TCM and is most likely available on DVD from Warner Archives.

      @@rael1999 Ruth actually wrote the screenplay herself. Also check out her several books, which you can find used on Amazon. They're terrific!

    The first time she appeared in Clint Eastwood's movie, someone in the theater said, "Hey, it's Mary Todd Lincoln!" Everyone laughed! 😂

    Ruth Gordon was so cute and gorgeous - youthful too, she'd have been 87 when she gave this interview (she claims to be 85 here, but according to Wiki she was born in 1896). Either way, she looks astonishingly good!
