This was great. I have struggled with my stomp for the last few months understanding how to use snapshots with my other midi pedals. I have just bought a second stomp to put on my board along with some drive pedals. I’m excited to hear what happens next. I also do already own an MC6. They make the best products.
Those type units sure can add a lot of power and flexibility to the HX Stomp. I wish they had a model with soft-click (i.e. silent) buttons and a built-in mini Expression Pedal. That's what I'm looking for. Thanks

For some reason I can add all this stuff to my mc8, but it won't talk to my helix no matter what I do. Nothing works. So frustrated.
Nice vid, Jason. I would have loved to hear you play the patches. You call these presets 'snapshots'; are they? Are time based effects seamless, like real snaps?

I am planning to buy HX Stomp XL. I have seen that Jason has many great presets on Line6 Shop. Since I am quite new to modeling world, i would like to buy some of those presets. What i wonder though, does each preset have snapshots when i import them to my hx stomp? As far as I read, there is a delay when switching presets, which makes it difficult to use it live or in studio? Could anyone help me? Thanks in advance!
Hi, yes pretty much all my presets are based around Snapshots of various gain levels. The product page for each preset will tell you how many snapshots for that preset. Hope that helps and hope you enjoy :-)
Could this be combined with the Stomps 3 snapshots? Ie use the Morningstar to change from snapshot 1 to snapshot 2 with one of the Morningstar's buttons, and then with another one of the Morningstar's buttons change several parameters within a helix snapshot?

You can do this, yes, not sure how to make it work completely as I’ve only just started using a midi controller, but in theory you could have your top 3 switches (ie for an mc6 mkii/pro) be the snapshots, and your bottom three switches be parameter changes. So you could have different pre-programmed delay timings on each switch for example.
If you had an MC3 for example, you could retain the 3 snapshots on the stomp’s native switches, then add your secondary parameter changes to the extra switches. Treat it like having a bank of buttons on the snapshot page and a bank of buttons on the command center page with controller assignments
