The first Joker while amazing, wasn't the kind of story I would've said needed a sequel, but I'm willing to give them a shot to see what they can do. The cinematography of that last shot alone gives me optimism.
The fact he used it to divide the hallucinations and the real world is fantastic. For exemple the black umbrellas become colorful and just after he sees Harleen in Arkham, that's so cool
Putting musical elements in this film actually works well with this portrayal of Joker since Todd Phillips has always described him as a guy with music in his soul. It probably won’t happen, but it’d be cool if we hear this Joker do a cover of “Only you”. (If you know, you know 😉)
I was dubious about this when I heard it was a musical, or at least partially musical. Now I'm convinced the musical numbers will be "in their heads" the same way we saw in Suckerpunch... which could work if done right. Looking forward to this now

I have no issues with musicals, but comic book adaptations and musicals do not go together especially when the joker is the source material. This trailer looks like s**t and the movie will be the same. Hollywood lost a lot of money at the box office last year, and is projected to lose even more this year, and it's because of stupid decisions like this. Yall supporting these terrible movie ideas are the reason we've been getting terrible movies.

I was skeptical about this movie at first but now I’m actually very interested..the color gradient and the cinematography is just top notch and the painted smile at the end was perfection!.
It may be a dream in which he tries to escape his own madness. Or he is conscious and imagines being pursued by the Joker just as he imagined experiencing romantic moments with his neighbor in the first film. Or he tells a story in which he was chased by the Joker to make his interlocutor believe that he is not the Joker. This scene may be left to our free interpretation in the final cut.
