Okay so basically I need to get shiner Sam to open up an Amazon store 👀😂 another banger as always 🔥
Exactly bro😂😂
shiner sam is the beast
Send the TRUCK LOAD FULL of shiners from shinier Sam. 😆
@@AYOFishing You guys should try a cheap AF challenge. Garage sales, clearance etc… lowest dollars spent with the biggest bag wins
@AYO Fishing you should pick a part of the pond and put some pea gravel for the spawn next year, and eventually buy crawfish. That might help the fish.
Good man! I did the same thing some 15 years ago. In the future, throw the dead ones as far out as you can. The bass hit them like crazy, and it gives the live ones time to get cover.
Great idea
Yes definitely a great idea.
Your asking way too much from this guy, he can't see past his own nose.
Great advice!!
I was thinking the same thing. I just didn’t think about the live ones getting time to find cover but I thought he should throw the dead ones out deep
Can we get an update?
I bought a track of land with a stocked pond that hadn't been fished in 20 years. I wanted to get an idea of what was in there. I reached out to my local wildlife enforcement office and they directed me to a biologist working within their office. After a quick conversation he was out the next day with a small Jon boat with a bottle of fish stunning chemical. There was not a single bass over 1-2 pounds, tons of bass and large bluegills, there just wasn't enough food to support the population. He came back the next weekend and we culled about 100 pounds of fish out. It's been 6 years ago and now the average bass is 3-5 pounds. So keep culling and restock with forage fish. Hope you the best of luck with your pond.
That was a really smart idea to get a hold of your local wildlife officer for advice and guidance.
@Schobe-wan Kenobi high iq = farm worms from compost, feed the pond
mosquito and bug traps over pond and dump them into the water for the fish
Cow ant is also known as a velvet ant. It’s actually a flightless wasp that has a very nasty sting.
I just learned about cow ants last week and then I happened to see one today and was petting it. Now I see this comment, what are the odds?
@@indicaking 😂
@@indicaking they hear us even if our phones are off 🎭
Damn straight they do
Oh yes i forget what the show was called but there was a tv series where a guy set out to get stung by every insect ( he had massive balls ) and the cow ant was one of them it has an enormously long sting. And yep it put him on his ass very painfull.
My husband thinks I'm weird watching fishing shows, but I like it, my boys like it, I'm trying to teach them to fish, so I'm just glad this community exists. You're fun to watch!
I don't know how I got in to this but I like it. I also be watching cow hooves for some reason
@@kainewatkins3000 watch hoof gp for good cow hooves
Cheat on your husband w a fishermen see if that helps
Please teach your sons not to pick up fish by the lip. It damages the jaw ligaments and the fish starve to death.
Tremendous effort! your enthusiasm and dry humor is very entertaining!
a small cast net ($50) and an aerator ($10) in a good size coleman cooler ($30) and you could stock your pond with native alabama minnows over and over and over... not to mention live line a few for some lunkers...
It is a good idea to add fresh water to that bag, while they acclimate. The water in the pond has much more O2 than the bag water at this point, every minute counts. The dead fish are decomposing which makes the matter worse.
“Sometimes I buy stuff just to see if it’s a scam or not.” If you can afford it, I would love to see more on that note.
first time watching this guy cause this was on my recommended and from just the first 1 minute i know this channel is gonna be right up my alley lol, subscribed
Fun fact: the cow ant is actually a ground wasp pretty chill but you don’t want to get stung by one
I just saw one today in my yard. I read that the males have wings and the females are the ones we see crawling.
It's actual name is Cow Killer for a reason
Also fun, all ants are descended from wasp type flying ancestors. So they are sort of all ground wasps!
The name cow killer is just a nickname as it has also never killed a cow for real..the true name is velvet ant/wasp ...i believe it is like number 4? on pain index ...extremely worth the girlish scream lololol
Not something you want to step on barefooted.
I am a city girl that never usually gets to experience the good ol outdoors and for some reason I love watching your videos I have nothing in common with you or know anything about fishing but I think your videos are hilarious and you have a great personality. CZcams is a weird place lol
you must try some fishing then ...best place for the mind and soul lol
@@ShAuNyBhOy-xy2kl She would definitely be the catch of the day :)
It's the best thing since sliced bread.
But be careful, cause it's addictive 🙂
Email him (not comments) and ask him to take you to a couple of places fishing. Get yourself a hotel room near airport or wherever safe. Idk how far away you are.
He can make a video and have company from a fan (huge ego lift). You can experience fishing with someone who is fun. You both have public and private time. If you feel respected and honored then do it again. If not, thank him and wave goodby.
So, email him. Then research what you need to take with you fishing (outdoor clothing, bugspray, hat, toiletries, knife, shoes or boots, mace, and so on).
A woman walked by my son when he was 6 or 7 and said it's supposed to rain, not a good day for fishing. My son didn't even look at her. He firmly declared, "Everyday is a good day for fishing!"
-And that is fishing lesson #1.
Every day is a good day for fishing.
U seem kool
Hope the locals appreciate your efforts in bringing this pond back to life.
It never ceases to amaze me what Amazon is willing to sell 😂😂

Dude, all these guys out there fishing, and you are FEEDING the fish? You are NEXT LEVEL.
Definitely need to see more of that pond and stocking!!
I know nothing about restoring a pond but I have faith in your dedication to do it. 🤗. So 😎 to see you happy 😊 and thriving again! BTW, I FINALLY bought a kayak. Will be nice to be off-the-bank again, except for the 🐊🐊🐊.
Definitely continue stocking the lake, and then try trapping to see if it’s staying stocked in a few months from now
I can’t imagine any haters on your chanel! That soothing voice should be on radio, a tv show, Hallmark etc!
He said “ is that a grown man in a cris cross position ?” “Shut up and eat ur worm “ 😂😂😂
Let’s keep it going! Loving the pond resurrection!
Love the restoration. I have a similar pond I've been wondering how to grow the fat Sally's. Keep it up
Dude so glad to see bam margera finally thriving! Never thought he would be so into fishing!
Lol 😆
I love these videos! I've never seen anybody on CZcams actually RESTORING a pond. You the man Badge. Plus, you're pretty freaking entertaining lol
Plenty of pond restoring videos on youtube.
Loads and loads how have you not Sean them?
Would love to see more videos on this pond and maybe more stocking that was a dope video ✊🏻🔥
Interesting stuff about how many bass need to be REMOVED from a pond to keep it healthy. Most of the time everyone is just focusing on putting more and more fish into the pond. Excited to see more updates - keep up the good work!
Agreed - I wasn't really aware until I started researching DNR info on managing small ponds for a pond I just got with my new property. A lot of great info out there on this I was also never aware of.
Good job. Great video! Thanks for posting. I've been thinking about ordering some and didn't know what to expect. Now I do.
Awesome idea!! great video! but bluegill and feeders would have been MUCH much better for bass fishing. Shiners eat roe and deplete zooplankton levels. They also only spawn periodically and bluegills spawn once a month like clockwork, allowing for much better and more natural bio diversity
I vote bluegill also, what this guy said + they're also fun to catch on their own as well.
Buddy I have never laughed so hard you got a brand new subscription just now!
a high compliment to pay, you're a funny man, setting aside all of the master adventures you cook up, ide pay to see you do stand up, and all you need to do is tell your stories, you NEVER fail to entertain, thanks for the humor.
I swear I just said the same thing on another video........ the whole squad go crazy lol but I'm riding on that gravy train heavy!!!!💯💯
One thing I've learned about minnows, shiners or any kind of bait fish is that they are very sensitive to heat and warm water. Once the water in those bags warms up, all the minnows, ect. will start dying very quickly. I live on Lake Fork in Texas and there's several bait shops around. Before that, I lived on Lake Dallas and one thing has been consistent over the years. The cooler the water, the longer they survive. Bait shops always give me my minnows in bags with cold blue water and they fill the bags with oxygen from a large compressed tank. Back in the day they just gave you some refrigerated water that was aerated by these large commercial aerators in huge concrete vats. Our next door neighbors owned a bait shop/store/gas station and they were friends with my grandparents, so I spent a lot of time obsessing over the minnows, ect.
When releasing minnows into a pond, you should let them out when you get there. No need to acclimate them to the water because the air in those bags is being heated up by the sun. Let them out in about '3-4' of water because the shallow water is very warm. I've kept minnows in a bait bucket for over a week, tied up to a rebar post I put there in 3-4' of water. You can also store live minnows in a refrigerator in your vegetable crisper slide out at the bottom, or like I do with the spare fridge in the garage, I take a shelf out so I can put the minnow bucket in there. I've kept minnows for over 2 weeks this way. Plus I'm not taking the risk that some clown will come along and steal my minnow bucket from the lake.
I know this video was posted a year ago, but just by chance that you happen to see it, I wanted to tell you how to possibly get some minnows/bait fish for your pond. All the bait shops around here use the same supplier and they WILL sell to the public, but sometimes have a minimum order. There are hatcheries here in East Texas that sell Black Bass, Crappie, Catfish, ect. and they deliver, just not to your house. They also sell minnows and shiners. I have an old 7.0 cubic foot chest deep freezer that I use to transport fish I buy for my pond once a year. Not heavy, well insulated and fits easily in the back of the truck.
Well I’m a have to subscribe cause i really wanna see that spot flourish with fishes! Good luck fam, you got it!
Badge, you helped me get back into fishing after years! Thank you for the inspiration. Hopefully when my son is born and a little older we can go out and catch some phat sallies.

Another crusher my friend. Keep it up and you’ll have that plaque in no time.
You rock, man! Good thing you are doing!
You are very entertaining! Definitely gonna be following all this
This is kind of a backwoods idea, but have you ever considered suspending a shallow bucket with a raw piece of meat inside it from an overhanging branch or a tripod built out of tree branches in a shallow part of the pond to feed the fish? Blue and green bottle flies will find the rotting meat and lay thousands of eggs that create thousands of protein rich maggots that will climb up the sides of the bucket and then fall into the water. You can raid the dumpster from a restaurant, the more meat, the more flies, and maggots. I'm in Kansas, the bass will eat anything here.
You can do the same to feed chickens!
Same thing we do up here in Nebraska that's fucking hilarious 😂
I support this 10000% hell yea feed them bass my guy!!!
First time watching, super stoked on the qaulity of the filming man keep it up and get that pond thriving!
I don't even watch this kind of content but I appreciate it! Was a fun informative watch

That intro had me dying!! As a member of the one hat button/two on a good day club, I feel you
Loved it. Keep those shiners coming. I want to see how this experiment goes.
Same here.
I’ve had those big ones float around for a while then all the sudden gone. You may try letting them out in a different container with water pumped from the pond and after they got their strength back turn em lose in the pond.
Love pond management vids. Set up some minnow traps in some creeks or lakes for free ones or maybe start raising your own.

Definitely wanna see you do more stuff like this bro, staying with you to the end when you've successfully converted that pond. Love it!
I just found this channel. This guy makes me laugh like hell! 😂😂😂
I’m sure you know but you can order fish at an ag store or extension agency. They typically have scheduled days when they will be in your area.
The fact that you fish with fish attached to your tiny boat with potential gators means you're badass.
Awesome video keep bringing those shiners to the abandoned pond/lake
Being from Arkansas I would love to see you and LOJO do a collaborative video on Lake Ouachita in Hot Springs, Arkansas. They have some of the fattest sallies and even some bigger striper/hybrids. They also hold a box spear fishing tournament every year for flathead catfish.

So good dude. Keep it up would love to see more in this pind
Great job on the cinematography! You've got some great shots going.
Should've put the belly-uppers in a bait bucket and give the ones that would revive time to come around. Just putting them in the lake is a sure fire way to feed the bigger natives before the shiners establish and reproduce.
The fish that you bought on Amazon should be good. I bought 3 fish for my aquarium that shipped from Florida and I live in California. All 3 were alive and well and still thriving in my 100 gallon aquarium
couple ideas for thining out bass. 1. buy a bunch of m 80s. (best off-camera!) 2. net casting (after lowering pond-lake level). You could even check with area food banks and such to donate them for food to the needy.
This is the first video of yours that I found and I really enjoyed it
That's cool as hell man. Hope it turns around and you have yourself a pond full of fat bass. I've actually looked at live bait on Amazon as well, was thinking the same thing, no way its going to work. That's cool it did.
Following this series hard badge! Let's see those dinks grow into some decent fat Sally's by next year!

Fun fact “cow ants” are actually a species of wingless wasps
The females are wingless...and have one hell of a sting...the males have wings and are for the most part harmless... 😲 Sounds an awful lot like another species I know
..
I stepped on one of those a few yrs back with my bare foot, I thought something had ripped my foot off that sting hurt so bad.
I saw one of those cow ants crabbing one year and when I was younger. No one believed me. It's great when people don't believe what you say. That was a little sarcasm. Now I know how people feel when they see Sasquatch and no One believes them. LOL
