If you just pull the string down in the bind while you’re still pinching it, the string wraps around the yo-yo enough to make it come back up cleanly instead of the loop sticking out once it’s rolled back up, if you threw it into the yo-yo

I ordered an unresponsive yo-yo earlier this week, and I’ve been watching a BUNCH of videos on them. And over time I started to get worried that tricks would take way longer, but then I learned about “binding” the yo-yo. When I first get it I will probably just practice binding with a Downward Sleeper.
LOL my son was getting into yoyos because i was as a kid and was decent at it with a plain duncan. Had no idea there was this type of yoyo. Bought it on Amazon for my son and thought wtf i gotta be missing something. Your vid saved me. Not sure he wanted to commit that hard into it though lol!

I think everyone should start with a responsive and once they get the hang of basic tricks and are confident doing the basic mounts then move to un-responsive
