I was assaulted when i was 5 by my mothers boyfriend. I didnt have a breakdown about it until i was 35. Apparently i had suppressed the trauma so deep that 30 years passed before i was able to process it. People react differently to trauma, we need to stop judging people for how long it takes them to speak about it. (P.s. im ok, no need to tell me that you're sorry for what I experienced, thx🙂)
I hate that we have this trauma in common. It took me several years to tell it however I wasn’t not believed when I revealed it. It’s a very sad state of affairs when you’re consequentially judged for something that wasn’t our fault as an 11 and 5 year old.
girl I was assaulted from like 8-12 by cousins and for years told people it had no impact on me. I'm in my 50s and realize it has severely impacted my ability to have a healthy partnership/marriage/etc.
Our brains are complex and it can resurface in ways that we are unaware of. And I didn't tell my mom until I was in my 30s. It carries a lot of guilt and shame.
It's so annoying how people are acting like they don't understand how much power Puff had over these women when they got raggedy ass daddies and uncles with 2% of his money and power that wreak havoc over their whole damn family!

THIS!!!!!!!!! the truest statement I have seen! And I have personally know situations where the daddy or uncle didn't even have a job!! So all of this I don't understand or It couldn't be me is very annoying! Unfortunately, way too many of us know of or have been involved in this type of madness!!!
Great way to put it. I have a raggedy ass daddy and even though he doesn't have two pennies to rub together, this man has so much power, such a psychological hold on all of us, and we're scared of him.
Something tells me 50 gone walk himself right into his own cases & allegations. His baby momma already starting to say stuff.
