You can do the same thing on the drivers side by removing the lid to the fuse panel. It’s tight but I got it done. I’m 6’1 and don’t have tiny hands. It was much easier than other videos portray.
I am a "weekend" mechanic. Not sure what to say. I did get a Wegner brand bulb that had narrow contacts on the bulbs. I gave the contact a slight bend and that seems to help. Have you trying another brand?
My issue was a bulb that was out. There is a module on the underside that regulates the power if your using a Xenon/HID. You may need to replace that unit which will require removing the bumper, to remove the entire headlight assembly, to get the that module.
The video stops once you reach the ballast for the bulb. My problem is, after I twist and remove the ballast that fits on the bulb, I can't get the bulb out of the headlight assembly. There is a wire with a looped end on one side of the bulb, but I've moved it down many times/ways and the bulb still doesn't come out. Am I missing something?
@@leeberk9857 ...actually I have the exact same as yours. if you'd be so kind, I just want to know what you did to remove the bulb then from the headlight assembly.
@@stevenmorris6924 I recall twisting it out. Please forgive I recoded this more than 2 years ago and I do t recall the details. I have the car since new and don’t recall having an issue removing the bulb. Sorry

Have not had a reason to replace the other side on my SRX yet. That said, there is a little bit of space, you may be able to get your hand in for the top bulb only. Most likely, the drivers side will require the "remove the bummer" process. I am not a shop, just an owner of an SRX.
Do you have Zeno? If yes, the is a modular under the headlight case. If your get water in your headlight, the water will eventually drain in to the electronic modular shorting it out. Sometimes it can’t be dried out to work again. Getting access to it will require removal of the bummer cover. I had the issue, and this actually worked, I opened both headlight open and pointed a hair dryer into the headlight case for 30mins or so to dry it out and it worked again. If you were not aware, Cadillac did have a recall for leaking headlight for this car and will pay you back for expenses to fix a leaky case. cadillacsociety.com/2020/03/10/owners-continue-to-struggle-with-cadillac-srx-headlights/.
So today I had my key fob in my pocket at work now looks like the it went on anti theft now can't turn car on . I can put Windows down and sun roof and stereo just when I press brake n start button anti theft icon lights up n everything shuts down . anyone know why
Thanks! Super cool info!!
Work smart, not hard good work sir.
Very, very informative.

In theory, there is other stuff there that would be more complicated than the air cleaner.
Read the string, james martin wrote "just remove battery and loosen fuse box make sure u dont leave ground loose."
Why not go ahead GARY and pull the bulb out ! Mind blown ! You’re welcome
How about changing the turn signal bulb for the pass side?
Not sure but you may need to take the bummer cover off.
Hello, I changed the low beam bulbs and they don't turn on anyway. I checked the fuse and the fuse is good. Could you help me?

Does replacing the bulb fix the dim issue?

Moisture and dim problems forever.

You only remove the bumper and stuff to change out the BALIST, it goes bad very often.
I try this today but how do you remove the bulb ?
It’s been a while, but I thought I twisted it about a quarter turn.

They make two different lights, Xeon and Halogen. Guessing you have the opposite of me, sorry. Guess you will need to remove the bummer cover then.

How do you replace the bulb???
I think it just twists out. Keep in mind, there are 2 different versions. 1) Halogen 2) Xeon. You may have the opposite of me.
And the left?
Had not had a reason to replace that side, sorry.
