Gomer can't contain his excitement with the gun 😂 And Otis doesn't mind being known as a yellow belly chicken, which infuriates Barney 😂😂😂 so much fun to watch...Wish they had comedies like that today 😢
@@thatonekid4732 it's a part of the leftist agenda. You'll notice that things like, people using guns defending law abiding citizens, people getting along; for instance black and white people, or anything positive in general doesn't appear on the left wing Media because they want to spread division and hatred. And yet they're ironically the champions of tolerance. Hmm.
For my money, Barney Fife is the single funniest character in the history of television. I feel like we, the viewing audience, were robbed when Barney decided to leave the show. Scenes with Barney & Gomer . . Barney & Otis . . Barney & Floyd . . or a combination of all of them were always hysterical!
I also believe that Barney Fife was the funniest character in the history of television! There has not been any other comedian to match that talent. he had the physical comedy, from head to toe, and especially in the face! He had it all to be considered the best and funniest.
Laura Bedin, And when he slammed the door on the patrol car, When Barney was trying to keep quiet as possible makes you laugh till you cry!! What a classic show!!
Laura Bedin, So true! Nothing today will ever be as funny as this!!! This is genuine classic TV, The Andy Griffith show, I Love Lucy, Happy Days, Gunsmoke, Welcome Back Kotter, Oh I could go on and on! Classic TV is just priceless, Thank God for reruns and DVDs!!!
The funniest scenes always involved Barney and usually included Otis. I've always been amazed at how Don Knotts and Hal Smith could play straight man for each other.
I love how Barney is explaining to them that it's a plain clothes operation and Gomer keeps jumping in talking about what kind of suit he's wearing! Barney just is like yeah that's fine just to brush it off!
As a Southerner myself, I always tripped out on how they wrote the word FOOL in this script so many times. We were always told it was a sin to call someone a fool, so it almost sounded like cussing when I saw it as a kid (which naturally made me laugh!) Now that I'm an adult & no longer have those beliefs I can laugh at it even louder...lol.
Hi Judy, Matthew chapter 5 verse 22 is what they were referring to........I'm not wanting to appear like a "holier than thou"......just thought you may want to know :)
Belive in the Lord with all of your heart. Lean not on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all of your ways and He will make your path straight. ❤
There are some favorite lines I have heard but this one is a GEM! at :45. Do you wanna be known as a yellow bellied chicken? Otis: Oh I don't mind! So darn funny!
That episode had a bit of drama in it. When Luke Comstock gets off the bus with the shotgun & the dramatic music adds to the danger 😱 Also when Andy sends Aunt Bee & Opie to the neighbors. The part that had my heart racing was when Andy was reading the paper & he hears footsteps on the hr porch, you can see how scared he was. Great acting Andy! 👏
This is one of two episodes that strongly influenced Garfield & Friends cartoons (Hog Noon). The other was the stolen cow (How Now, Stolen Cow), which was a mashup of that TAGS episode and Dragnet. Oddly enough, both were on the US Acres/Orson's Farm side, not the Garfield side. But Garfield has its share of TAGS references, such as the two cartoons containing a Barney Fife-like character voiced by Don Knotts himself. And Hal Smith did various voices, and Howard Morris was the voice of Wade Duck in the US Acres/Orson's Farm cartoons. Lots of disorganized rambling, but I find it interesting. :-)
Looking through the window, watching Andy and Hellen on the couch and Goober yells out,”Their doin it,their doin it! The look on Barney’s face! Made me laugh so hard,I cried!
I really like the one when Andy put lipstick on Barney's Finger while he is sleeping on the bench then wakes him and then barney smears it all over his face
I like the dialogue in Season 4.about Barney's theory of who shoplifted at Ben Weaver's store. "Answer yes or no: Whose store is being robbed" "Uh... no?" "I hate when you get obtuse, Ange!" Rotfl!
Is it just me , or has anyone else noticed that in this particular episode Leo Gordon has a voice that sounds very similar to that of the actor : John Vernon .Also , in my honest opinion he sort of looks like him too .
@@suzycreamcheesez4371 Clint and Ron Howard are still around, but they were way young at the time. I'm not sure but I think the woman who played Thelma Lou is still alive too.
Really fed up with poorly done recordings and false advertising on CZcams. It’s proving difficult to find the CZcams ‘Andy Griffith Show’ true full 22 -25 minute shows and with decent sound. Snippets of shows and then 45 minutes of the same show starting over and over. 😖
Two funny twists of fate in this Episode. Barney of course is unable to resist reading over Andy's shoulder and then commenting on Luke Comstock's original letter to Andy. "The way it's written...the way it's folded...the way it's sealed...spells one thing: R...E...V...E...N...G...!" To which a befuddled Andy responds: "Reveng?!"😂😏 Then there's Comstock himself. Went on to form a group of TV Repair Franchises in Cleveland, Ohio. 24 years later Andy returns to Mayberry after he and Helen have moved away and tells one and all that he is now the Head of a Detective Agency in yep Cleveland, Ohio!😂🤣😂📺B.W.
Andy Griffith AND Don Knots both are hilarious!!!😂😂😂. I didn’t exist back then but these episodes allow us millennials to have a chance THIS time around for sure!!!😮😂😂❤️❤️. Andy was so cute 🥰 back then!❤️❤️ I have NO interest in seeing either old as actors!!!
Same here! My mom has loved this show for years. I started watching it when I was really young. I can't think of a time when I haven't watched it. Easily one of my favorite shows!
The last scene ended with Andy saying: "That's the Mayberry Knot-tying Club. Meets here every Tuesday. That's a nice one you've got there, boys."
Don't think I've ever seen this particular scene before.
I've seen every episode over and over and they still make me laugh.
HILARIOUS 😂😂😂 I grew up watching this show. I'm 50 years old now...& I NEVER get tired of watching it on MeTV!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Barney saying, "Let's make this look like a posse!" killed me 😅.
Gomer can't contain his excitement with the gun 😂 And Otis doesn't mind being known as a yellow belly chicken, which infuriates Barney 😂😂😂 so much fun to watch...Wish they had comedies like that today 😢
It was hilarious for its time (early 60's), it wouldn't be as funny in 2020
@@iMr.Jetpacks that's true.🤔 But I still laugh watching the show even though I know what's coming up 😂
There is a comedy like this today. It's called Washington DC.
Which, if you ask me, is more like "It's me, it's me, it's me Ernest T.!"

Gomer with that shotgun is too much!! lol!!!! The Andy Griffith show is just awesome!!

As a comedic actor, Don was competent, brilliant and in-charge playing a laughably incompetent bungler.

Trying to protect Andy from Luke Comstock, a former convict Barney thought was trying to see revenge on Andy.
